Again, what are you expecting to happen? You insinuate terrible crimes and abuses of power are forthcoming, but are never specific.
-
Forgive me if I have missed it in these massive threads, but what is it that you are expecting/predicting will happen that justifies comparing Trump to Hitler? Mass executions? Internment camps? Making Muslims wear some kind of symbol (I know he mentioned wristbands or something, but that won't happen). Death Squads killing Illegal Aliens?
-
We shall see how it turns out. I believe he will sharply curtail immigration by Muslims, but allow some. Stopping immigration of new people, isn't the same as "banning" people already here, and if he starts mass executions of ANY people, I will fight against it to the death. But then, that's not going to happen anyway. Our choice in this election was between Amnesty for 10+ Million Illegal Aliens, and immigration of "as many as possible" refugees, OR a halt of Muslim immigrants, a deportation plan for illegals, and a border wall. I chose the latter, mainly because there is no coming back from the former, and the latter can be reversed (if it is even implemented).

What kind of deplorable racist would say such a thing!!! This is the kind of thinking that reminds me of Germany in 1939!

Refugee Crisis in Europe
Prickly Pete replied to Prickly Pete's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I didn't state that it is "simply a Muslim vs. Christian thing". I think it's a Muslim vs. Anybody That Isn't Muslim thing. I'm sure some are more fervent than others, and I don't think they are all raging with hatred. I'm sure the majority can coexist with people outside their religion. -

Yeah, but at the same time, you are saying that their religion IS their culture, and that they aren't necessarily targeting Christians. So who does that leave...everyone that isn't Muslim. -

In other words, it's not just Christians they attack, it's everyone and anyone who isn't Muslim. Hmm...looks more like a religious problem, than a cultural problem to me. -
"Fake News" like The Daily Show? Or just the conservative side?

Gee, I'm still waiting for Huma to be completely ruined.

Wow, those look like great campaign collectibles. They capture essence of her campaign, and "the times". Like a Pet Rock.

It's been obvious for awhile that they aren't a playoff caliber team. I predict they will win the next 2 games (I know those teams aren't good either), and maybe even beat the Raiders, and many here will be back on the wagon. Then they will lose another string of games. It's the Wrex Wyan Wowercoaster. Too much emotion, not enough ice cold precision. He has to go.

Maybe I missed it, but how do you know it wasn't an "anti-Trump" teacher, scaring kids to raise hysteria (as opposed to a gloating Trumper)? I think it's way more likely the former.

Positional Needs For DraftTek - Astro

It's not what I want, but the writing is already on the wall...."Cornerback". -
http://www.salientpartners.com/epsilon-theory/virtue-signaling-why-clinton-is-in-trouble/ This guy called it in September, and his reasoning is interesting.

This is one of the most annoying aspects of the whiners. They keep claiming that "now it will be okay to .......(be racist, be sexist, etc.)". How a person decides to treat other people, is a personal decision.

After watching Colbert and seeing the air literally fizzle out of the balloon, I'm wondering if the "Fake News" style of comedy might have been part of the problem, and that it may be done. I loved Jon Stewart when Bush was in office, but by Obama's second term it was just smug pandering. Trevor Noah is an obvious progressive shill, and annoyed me as much as Dennis Miller did (who was at least funny). Unwatchable.

Every single person I know in LA that supports Hillary mentioned crying, and an overwhelming feeling hopelessness. I'm beginning to think there has been some kind of mass brainwash of people through the media.

I know, it's a sheltered little California world, these Los Angelinos live in, they are incredibly soft. He is an "aspiring film-maker". I have seen MANY posts along these lines. Embarrassing.

I realized that most of these are kids that have never "lost" an election. They have only known life as a voter with a black president. Their perspective is skewed partially,by that. They also have a case of "everyone gets a trophy". One guy I know on Facebook, deleted me for declaring that I wasn't going to vote for Hillary (I voted for Stein, because CA is a granted Blue state). I later saw his post from after the election... "I have no hope. I don't know what to do with myself, or what to think of the direction of this country. It's obvious that the country is going further towards Planet of the Apes, instead of Star Trek". I can't wait to see him.

San Diego Rejects Stadium Financing
Prickly Pete replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's time for the NFL to get taken down a few notches. -
It's more like the media capitalized on them. I think the media has created much of the hysteria. I have a feeling that this might just be the way presidential elections are going to be, from here on out.

This is what I think as well. I can't see him sending out deportation squads, and breaking up families. In the past (before he was a candidate) he has made statements about the US needing to accommodate illegals, so I think he was just setting up a bargaining position..."everything". Still it's hard to know what he is really going to pursue, and I have to admit I have lots of trepidation. It's important for him to make attempts to bring people together. My main worry is that Muslims will be persecuted by his more enthused (crazed) supporters.

He better select a great cabinet, or we're !@#$ed.
