I think Favre fits the criteria of the initial question. In what way do you feel he doesn't? I would say Brees kind of doesn't fit the question, because he was really a replaced starter who was then traded and had much more success. Jim Plunkett, the same.

If anything, they should be held up as proof that if you can cut down mistakes, and play smart, you can win lots of games. The offense is a machine that evolves season to season, to suit the talent, and to counter whatever teams develop to stop them. I agree. I think he is a bit overrated, as great as he was. Best WR ever though, but not sure I would call him the Greatest Football Player Ever, as I often see claimed. Many in this forum were shifted by either hatred of Hillary, or Trump's campaign. I was one of them, and prior to that I never felt this board was weighted in any extreme, to either side or the other.

It was only a year ago that I would have sided with Baskin. I had been Left all my life, but things have just gotten ridiculous. The demographics are altering fast.
