  1. I was at that game against the Atlanta Falcons. He didnt just tackle that guy, he Ronnie Lott'd him !
  2. Cant imagine how long that must have taken to put together. Simply amazing. Hats off to you Sir. Not sure where you are at in the game of life but you oughta consider what the Sabol family did as I'm sure you've done. You are money brother. You are money and thank you VERY much for that fabulous piece. jb
  3. Nope. Send em to New England. Let him work his magic there !!
  4. Totally agree. Any fan of the game of football that thinks Andre wouldn't make a difference....ON ANY TEAM IN ANY SITUATION probably isn't a very savvy fan. Andre was outstanding and he'll be in the hall of fame one day.
  5. I dont care what anyone says ! That was FANTASTIC !!
  6. Great thread. I actually added a signature line to profile......... Because of this darn thread !! LOL !
  7. Ice, you are a good fan. I love reading your drive-by posts. Keep it up, and best of luck to the Pack this year.....not that you need luck with thaT TEAM. lol ! IMO, there is nothing not to like about the Green Bay Packers.....and as far as I'm concerned you are always welcome here, Bro. jb
  8. We'll learn soon enough what Kolb has to offer. Players beating him up is classless and the coaches of Arizona should let them know that. Joe Montana would have gotten hurt behind that line in Arizona in all liklyhood. If they are gonna beat on anyone thats who they should be beating on. He brings Veteran experience to the position here in Buffalo. Frankly, I think the starting job is his to lose. I just want to see improvement this year...across the board. Thats all I ask at this juncture. jb
  9. I'm optimistic at 9-7. Stats below dating back to 1978. 6-10 teams better than 6-10 the following season – 50 6-10 teams with repeat 6-10 records the following season – 8 6-10 teams worse than 6-10 the following season – 23. Read more: http://www.wham1180....l#ixzz2YgipMmrM
  10. This local blogger (Bob Matthews) breaks down success (or lack thereof) of teams after a 6-10 year. Of the 81 teams with 6-10 records since 1978, 23 made the playoffs the following season (28.4 percent) and 58 did not (71.6 percent). Read more: http://www.wham1180....l#ixzz2Yga5mgTY
  11. I saw a thread on here somewhere wondering who we'll pick first in the 2014 draft. Training camp hasn't even started yet !!
  12. Marshawn Lynch would still be a difference maker.
  13. Exactly. Let expectations be low. Stay under the radar. Even Jaws whom I respect cant predict the future. His evaluations appear based solely on last year. A lot of these guys (qb's) have different players (or teams) around them now so results can and will change. I'd like to see the same countdown AFTER the season is over. It'd be different.
  14. The seasons cummin. Everyone is gettin all giddy ! Me included. Aint it great ? Damn I love the game of football.
  15. That seems a fair assessment looking back on it.
  16. Should be three ! I'd say CJ is elite. No ?
  17. On the other hand that "could" be interpreted as the response of a competitor. The situation will play out whichever way but you've got to believe the guy is hungry. I'm OK with that response personally. I mean, its better than "I really look forward to being a backup". jb
  18. I'd hire the guy tomorrow to read bed time stories to my children. Ahh crap....drunk again !!
  19. Neat story ! You're not the only one either. I enjoy pre-season a lot. Its a rare opportunity to watch what players have got....ones you haven't seen play and every once in a while there is a nice surprise. I'll watch every one of them....or listen on the radio if blacked out. One position I'll be watching very closely is the linebacker position. And...the defense as a whole. Of course the QB position, the O-line and new WR's will be fun to watch as well. I also hope to see a lot of emotion with the coaching staff. Guys getting in the ref's face on bad calls. Coaching players on the fly..etc. Man I cant wait !! We probably still wont really know what the team looks like. Mostly vanilla schemes during the pre-season but it'll still be worth watching IMO. GO BUFFALO !! JB
  20. You sound a lot like a guy that doesn't know what he's talking about. There are experts just like yourself in the City of Oakland that waited with baited breath for Jamarcus Russel to start. Be careful what you wish for, sir. It is entirely possible that EJ will not work out. Do I want this to happen?.....no freakin way Bro. I was all over EJ to be drafted by us. BUT.....if he looks like a fish out of H2O in preseason he needs to ride the pine. Make no mistake about it, Kolb is a good QB and I'm damn happy we picked him up. jb
  21. I would imagine he'll have words with Jim Kelly from time to time as well. EJ talking to Aaron Rodgers may not mean much as SJBF says, but it is a data point that the kid is trying to learn as much as he can before being thrown into the fire. Its a good thing. Like a lot of you guys, I'm pretty stoked about the upcoming season; more than I have been in recent years. Sure hope its justified !! LOL.
  22. You've just got to be proud to have this kid on our side. Probably the most explosive back we've had since Thermal. One of the things I just loved about Thermal (and it really isnt talked about much) was his blocking ability. Man, I can remember Kelly dropping back to throw, an LB would break through on the blitz and Thermal wouldnt just block...he'd put the guy right on his backside. I'm also disappointed CJ isnt on the top 100 list. Definitely deserves to be and I'd bet if we were a large market franchise he'd be on it for sure. Great video. Thanks. EDIT: CJ (and Freddie) should be yet another key piece in taking the edge off for EJ once he gets the nod. jb
  23. Nuthin fancy. Just my normal garb.
