  1. That there is the bottom line. Frankly...so far he's been a disappointment IMO. But who am I to say that? No one. I'll route for him as long as he is wearing blue and white...perhaps beyond...but not if he's a Patriot ! No no no ! LOL ! I have a "not-so-good" feeling about EJ and I way look forward to he proving me wrong. GO BILLS !
  2. Do any of the people posting this nonsense actually work for a living? I doubt it highly. How could they? I just cant wrap my noggin around the volume of idiocy here.. On a board where you'd expect knowledgeable football people. Thankfully, we do have some of those and I appreciate the hell out of that. Good grief though, there is a lot of basement "fluff" ...... and thats putting it mildly. My opinion, and thats all it is. We have a good coach here. You can highlight all his failures and ignore his personnel decisions but in my opinion he's gonna be a winner and I'm damn glad we have him. Who are you going to replace this coach with.....that is a better coach? Sure...Gruden, Cowher et al will break their ankles rushing to Buffalo to coach. Not Happnin. I'm proud to have Marrone coaching my favorite football team.
  3. He's played with a punctured lung. He's played (and rallied) with broken ribs. I dont care what anyone says. Romo is better than ant QB we have, or have had in a VERY long time. One of the toughest..."play thru injury" QB's in the league. I think Orton will manage this game adequately. The Cowboys defense stepped it up last week. If those two things happen its any ones game. This is reality football. Not Fantasy. If I were a betting man I'd take the Cowboys with the 6 1/2 all day long.
  4. Totally disagree. They have a very good Field goal kicker in Foxborough. 49-6 Buffalo.
  5. Yup, its a 2 player league. If you have a QB and a running back, there is no need for a roster. The people here just continue to amaze. Fantasy geekdom has ruined the fans of this game, as well as meaningful media analysis. Refs, injuries, rule changes and Goodell have ruined the game PERIOD. It'll only get worse from here. M X-mas From a 50 year ex-fan of the NFL.
  6. I've boned up on the science of this and by golly, its true !! Once again, the NFL has flexed its schedule to protect the best NFL QB in our lifetimes. WOW !! Just when you think this place is calming down, the silliness comes right back. NFL rescheduled for Brady? Keep em coming, Bro, keep em coming !
  7. I'd have to guess the recent Alan Branch signing. (3 year deal).
  8. Neither can I. I do like Russel though. Most people bandwagon to the team they think will win. Its human nature. I'm not human though ! LOL !
  9. NFC. Cardinals. Always been a closet Cardinals fan. So them. AFC. Chargers. Just love the intensity of Phillip Rivers game Panthers. Big fan of that defensive unit, and their head coach. Team I'd least like to see: Seattle. Reason: Pete Carrol Mostly I route that whoever gets into the playoffs give us some entertaining competitive games. And...we are all lucky to have seen Peyton and Tom Brady. Love em or hate em they will go down as historical greats, and we got to see it live.
  10. I'm on board with all of this. The kid hasn't had a lot of starts either. I dont think we've seen his full potential yet. He gives us the option of filling other needs on the roster IMO.
  11. On defense, yes. On offense, I give the nod to Fred.
  12. Which could be a good thing. Frankly I was hoping we'd take him in the 2nd if still there. May take a year or 3 but I think he'll develop into a pretty good one.
  13. Oh hell yea. I hope its a historic blizzard. That'd give us a reason to watch a game that is so overly-hyped that it doesn't stand a chance otherwise. Bring on the snow baby. Throw-back game !
  14. Yup. Its amazing isnt it?
  15. So obviously you are going. Be sure to take some pictures. That'd be fantastic.
  16. Ahh yes, only took 3 pages for the QB race card to finally be played. You've got to be kidding me . Maybe Al Sharpton should be the QB coach? Good Grief, its just a silly game. Relax, man.
  17. Refreshing to read the thoughts of a man that gets it. Thank you, and Merry Christmas.
  18. Reading comprehension. Work on it.
  19. Yup. Pete Carrol really took the league by storm in NFL coaching attempts 1 and 2. I would take Marrone over him any day. EJ as good as Wilson with a different coach? Alrighty then. A QB coach would help though. EJ needs a whole lot of work. Offense has terrible coaching? Maybe..maybe not. I'm certainly not in a position to make that statement. BTW, there is another component they refer to as defense. Just so ya know. Marrone resign? Who do we replace him with? The weather man ? Give him time. He's gonna be a good coach you watch. Sorry man, but dont just walk out in the front yard and die. This is reality football, not that fantasy bologne. Look at what Carolina has done. Yea...3 years it took but they are solid. As we will be. Two more years man. Two more years. We're gonna be OK. In fact I would nominate Rivera as a coach of the year candidate. He's done a nice job down there.
  20. Saying "fine, I'm OK with that" was an attempt to show I was not being defensive. I guess it didnt work. LOL! S'all good man. I hope come Monday we can argue and be "defensive" that they should have won by 30...not 20 points. That would be fantastic! Even if Marcell Dareus was playing QB.
  21. The defense saved EJ a couple times too. Look, I'm not here to argue. I think Thad shows promise as a back-up. You dont. Fine. I'm OK with that. Off topic: He, just like EJ is an easy guy to root (route? whatever) for. Humble, and seems like a helluva nice kid. Smart too, just like our starter.
  22. He is a much better player than the usual nega-trons on this chat board will give him credit for. He needs to protect the football better. Yes. Thats coachable. Other than that he looks to me like he has potential. Oh hell yea I like Thad a lot as our back-up. DC Toms comment above as funny as it is actually has some truth to it. Russel Wilson is surrounded by a MUCH better cast of characters than Thad, EJ or Jeff. Who knows what Russel would do if he were our guy. I dont think he'd be as successful here as he has been there so far. We dont have the supporting cast....YET. Frankly I think at this point of their careers, Thad gives us as good (if not better) chances than EJ of placing loss # 2 on Miami Sunday. Go Bills.
  23. Very true, but I'm not one of em. I hate the Pats as much as anyone because of how they've owned us. BUT...The playoffs to me are much more interesting with Brady / Bellichick in the mix.
  24. I guess I'd put the percentage at about 50-60%. At this stage of their careers I cant honestly say thats much higher than I'd put Thad Lewis. If there is any positive to this I'd say we may have learned we have a pretty solid back-up QB. Important. And for you guys early on saying EJ was a project? Cant disagree, but why would you draft a project in the 1st round? Seems kind of crazy. No?
  25. Could be. Could be. Yea maybe EJ got thrown into the fire too soon. It just kills me to see Frank Reich coaching the QB's in San Diego. Man I'd love it if he were EJ's QB coach ! I recall way back when Jim Kelly saying that he owed much of his success to Frank Reich. He said Frank used to point out things defensively that Jim never saw and it helped him tremendously. A good QB coach might be useful for EJ.
