  1. I'm thinking since Hoyer got them to 7-4, that they'd be best to stick with him for now. The Browns are still in this thing. Stick with what has worked. Some of the picks Hoyer has thrown have been more of a miscommunication with Josh than bad arm throws by Hoyer. I'd leave well enough alone if I were them...for now. Hoyer will be fine.
  2. I didnt like the hit our LB made on your TE. I thought it was a cheap shot to be honest. Not sure I'm ready to count your team out and I'm probably alone on this but I got very nervous when Johnny came in the game. Good luck to you guys too.
  3. You'll have a great time packfan. Consider yourself lucky as it appears we may still be in the hunt by then...something that doesn't happen a whole lot here. The place will be rockin. You'll probably see a fair number of Packers fans there. All good. I think most of us Bills fans respect the pack and their fans. Miami..Jets...Pats...not so much !! Enjoy.
  4. We need LSD too. LSD=Long sustained Drives. Keep Peyton on the bench. Move the chains..kill clock..score points. We've got as good a shot as anyone to beat this team.
  5. Didnt like that. It was a cheap shot I thought.
  6. Thats debatable, and depends on which way the wind is blowing.
  7. The more I think about it the more your post makes sense. I would be OK with it. Only problem is the short term goodwill killing the organization would take. One 100 yard game and its all but forgotten though.
  8. If history is any indicator, he'll be back in the league before you know it. As was said earlier, people have incredibly short memories. By his 2nd game back, everyone will have forgotten.....except the team that picks him up.
  9. Maybe true thru the years. But...you guys are doing quite well. I think if I'm a Browns fan I'm wanting to keep Hoyer around. You can do a whole lot worse than Hoyer. The grass always seems greener but often it isn't. Hoyer and Manziel. I'm feeling good about our stable of QB's if I'm a Browns fan. And frankly, unlike a lot of Bills fans I'm pretty happy with our current stable of QB's. Orton has done a pretty darn good job for the most part. EJ is at the ready. EJ is gonna be OK. I dont think he's quite there yet but again we could do much worse for a back-up QB than EJ. Looking forward to Sundays game. Huge game for both teams. If Cleveland can run the ball effectively....we are in trouble. If not I think we git r done. Cant damn wait !!
  10. A slow news day no doubt. 550am is running out of things to write about.
  11. I'm just not willing to look at anything beyond the Cleveland Browns at this time. One game at a time fellas, one at a time.
  12. Absolutely. Like OP says...git r done against the Browns. We will get noticed (a little bit) if we win this one, noticed (quite a bit) with a convincing win. Good lord if we were to win out....the momentum..Oh man. I can dream cant I? lol! New England and Oakland are the 2 games left I'm really concerned about.
  13. That's what is so frustrating with this fan base. If a player has just one bad game, he suddenly sucks and always has and always will and should be fired tomorrow at 7:30. I honestly believe we have "so-called" fans here that root for Kyle Orton to fail so they can say never should have pulled EJ. Say what you will but make no mistake about it, we are lucky to have Kyle Orton here. And...yes I am a fan of EJ too. Look very much forward to watching him play when his time comes.
  14. +1000. Its like watching a game in a poorly lit warehouse, or Home Depot !! Domes suck.
  15. Now there's a Bills fan. Thanks Bro !! I'm right there with ya !
  16. It is now clear that I should have said...hold the anchovies. Wow...what a catch. Best I've seen but I've only been watching football for 50+ years.
  17. I've only been around here for a couple years or so but this right here is the funniest thread I've ever seen. Thanx everybody. That was great !
  18. I never thought professional football would come to this. A time when the games are so boring, that fans route for radio announcers to say something they approve of. Professional football has evolved into a pop-culture, reality TV event or some darn thing. You've got to admit...the games themselves are boring as F***. So I guess its understandable the weather, radio talking heads etc are worthy of headlines.....because the game isnt any more. The game is boring to watch on television......inbetween commercials.
  19. What we miss with Freddie is the ability to pick up the blitz. The OP is right, we do miss those guys more than folks realize. Not for their running ability as much as their blocking ability. Especially Fred. It makes no difference who the QB is when a defense gets pressure.
  20. No truer words have been spoken than that right there. Its a shame too.
  21. Figured it was a good time to bring this back from the dead. Its an example of ADD football fans. And the reporters? Where'd they go ? What happened to all the people that said Brady, Belichick and the Patriots were finished. Where are they? My guess: saying that Brady and Belichick will win this years SB !! LOL !
  22. Thanks to Fantasy Football, this is how today's Fan actually thinks. I do agree that making a play for Manziel might make some sense without giving away the farm. But gathering a half dozen or so QB's? Not so much. Also...what if Johnny starting playing bad? Then What? Being a coach in this league aint for sissies. Its easy to post nonsense...like I am right now. Real football though, a different deal.
  23. I hate it when smart people ruin a good idea with sound logic !!! All very fair points, MannC. Thanks.
  24. Thats interesting. Like the idea...like the post.
