  1. 2020-54 2012-32 2022-61 2023-78 The above is Dominguez’ ranking on a year by year basis on the MLB top 100 prospect list. You may deduce that it’s not exactly trending in the right direction. No one else on your list is in the top 100. Personally I think Wells could prove to be a serviceable backup catcher at some point. Congrats. The Yanks only hope to compete in the next 5 years, like it has been since the end of the Jeter era, is to buy buy buy in the off-season and hope they get it right, Spoiler alert: they won’t. And now they don’t actually have any real prospects to trade. It’s all free agents to fill in the 17 holes on their 26 man roster. Brito and King? OMG Shirley you can’t be serious that they will do anything other than fill out a spot. Maybe a #5 starter between the 2. At least Bader offered elite defense. Is Judge going back to CF? Meanwhile in Baltimore: Rutschman, Mullins, Santander, Cowser, Kjerstad, Rodriguez, Henderson, Mountcastle, Westburg, Hays, Mayo, Ortiz, Basallo. All the current MLB players I listed are at least reasonably young. Some are babies. All the minor leaguers are prospects which rank above the Yankees best single prospect. Good luck in 2030 Yanks Oops. Forgot Jackson Holliday in my list.
  2. You forgot Eric Dickerson and Paul Hornung.
  3. I didn’t read through the whole thread but “meteoric rise” is another dumb one. They. Don’t. Rise.
  4. It doesn’t have to be either. McDermott could have been very aware before his departure.
  5. Ragland was a good linebacker for football as played in 1926. Rex picked him. Blaming Whaley is unfair. Blaming Ragland’s injury for anything whatsoever is an absolute joke.
  6. I never mentioned Beane. You did. The types of players you mentioned…..Dawkins and Milano…..I added Tre……are clearly McDermott types. Can you mention any other per-McDermott player that fits their mold?
  7. Use your name. Slight detriment: Getting the fan base spun up about impending signings of guys like Beckham, an impending return against the Janet’s, a week one 2023 return, or other similar “optimistic” talents cannot set up any exceeding of expectations. Only disappointment of the fan base can ensue. This put unnecessary pressure…..albeit slight…..on the rest of the organization. That is why most professionals keep their mouths shut. No upside versus small downside cannot be a winning bet ever. Miller constantly makes that losing bet. It’s not that big a deal as Beane and McDermott can handle it, but it’s completely unnecessary.
  8. When Tre White got his extension and on a few occasions since, he mentioned how humbled and proud he was that he was the first selection “McDermott made”. He was humbled to be the first cornerstone of the rebuild entrusted to Sean. If you want to look….which clearly you don’t…..you can find many examples demonstrating Whaley was a lame duck at the time. It’s simply a fact. I liked Doug Whaley. I think he did a very good job in certain aspects of the GM role but not all of them. Ask yourself if it seems logical in any way that the same guy who was supposedly enamored with obvious busts like Adolphus Washington and Reggie Ragland would transform so quickly into a guy identifying Dawkins and Milano. Does that make sense to you?
  9. He is making a lot of money and his mouth has been a detriment to the team…..albeit only a slight one. He should probably just not talk.
  10. Lol are you for real? Are you aware that a guy name Sean McDermott was already employed by the Bills? Te GM drafts, not the HC, you say? So Rex didn’t draft Reggie Ragland and Adolphus Washington? That was Whaley too? Is your real name Philip Barbay?
  11. It is a smart move but at some point Miller has to be viewed as The Boy Who Cried Wolf”. He is constantly giving rosy pictures of every situation and he is wrong approximately 100% of the time.
  12. Shirley you can’t seriously think that.
  13. But a little extrapolation and he could have had 2300 Carrie’s for 7679 yards even accounting for wear and tear.
  14. Lol if the opposite signing was made you’d have the opposite opinion. It’s so easy.
  15. Nickname = Easter
  16. Even if he gets TJ it just means he won’t pitch until 2025. He will be back to hitting relatively early in 2024. Bryce Harper is doing it now and playing on defense. Ohtani is a DH.
  17. Alabama players are overrated?
  18. Probably Allen Schwartz, the 19 year old assistant to the Stabuck’s runner for the front office. The boss needs his coffee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Ok but he is portrayed as if he were totally worthless before that which is simply false.
  20. Let me see if I have this straight. No one was giving him 13M for one year but he lasted one day in FA and got 18*4? He must have been phenomenal in 2022????????
  21. Name sounds like he is cheese so probably goes to Green Bay.
  22. How many GMs per year assemble a roster that wins a Super Bowl? Of those GMs have they all had a perfect record of selecting and developing a perfect draft class……ever? Have the fan bases of those teams or other teams ever been wrong about draft selections or the pace of development for a draftee? For the love of Pete half of this board would have Andy Isabella as the answer to all our prayers.
  23. Applies to every team every year I every sport. Credibility goes from 0.3 to 0.9 on a scale of a trillion.
