I think you have him mixed up with Conejito Malo.. -
Tigers/Cleveland will be fun, but to me, Seattle is in the best position in the AL. They will play the winner and have the pitching to shut them down. Meanwhile the Yanks have to navigate Crochet and Bello typically gives them trouble. They are not a slam dunk to beat Boston. Yanks bats run hot and cold. I can see them going to the World Series and can also see them getting swept by the Red Sox. They’d have the bye if they inserted Caballero and benched Volpe after the trade but Volpe has an Italian surname. If Grisham continues his Brady Anderson season that will help. I wonder how long before he gets suspended. It’s obvious. I’d love for the Reds to beat the Dodgers but can’t see it. Hunter Greene could make it an interesting start to the series. Cubs/Padres should be the best first round series. Both flawed teams but with pretty deep lineups and good but not deep pitching. If games are close the Padres bullpen is nasty but losing Jason Adam really hurt them. It might be what does them in. Can the Brewers maintain the regular season consistency in the playoffs? I think they have a shot if Woodruff is healthy enough to pitch. Priester’s surprising season helped them. I think the most likely WS matchup is Seattle vs. Philly but can see practically any combo that does not include the Tigers, Guards or Reds…..but I love what they did this year. Whatever it ends up as : NL team > AL team.

I’m glad Allen was looking at the sideline after the touchdown. My mom and dad taught me to look where I was going when I was maybe 15 months old. Looks like Allen’s parents taught him the same thing. After a TD , the QB goes to the sidelines. I’m glad Allen wasn’t looking into the sky or at the ground when he was going to the sideline. He might have bumped into someone or something and got hurt.

Douche bag roid boys are more likely to be sketchy cheaters than your average person. -
Saints hadn’t scored on their first drive in forever. They did today. But I’m sure it had nothing to do with the odds catching up with them right?
-
You start off with the whole Schroedinger’s cat thing about observers and although interesting, it is irrelevant. On the topic, look at the Monty Hall thing I posted in a link. Your odds of surviving in San Diego?

OMG. Turnovers impact a game. Fans attire? Seriously.
-
Is it possible you’re biased given the way Oregon ended that game last night? Try to look at this objectively and with no recency bias.
-
Unlike a coin, you can tie the turnover battle. So win or tie is a 2/3 proposition where losing is 1/3.

The NFL doesn’t have a lottery and I’m not talking about losing the game. I’m talking about setting us up to win more. But I agree about Eichole.

This is from a “college” in Canada so take it with a quarry of salt but for all intensive purposes that “finite” number of wins and losses is not really finite. Coins are a bad example but a deck of cards is way off. https://www.mcgill.ca/oss/article/did-you-know-infographics/there-are-more-ways-arrange-deck-cards-there-are-atoms-earth

1. You don’t “manage” to get heads the first 3 times, it just happens unless you’re rigging it. It happens 12.5% of the time. The real odds are 6.25% to get heads four times in a row. You 4th flip BY ITSELF has a 50% chance to be heads, sure. But getting 4 in a row does not. Everyone is pretending to not know what happened the first three times but if we already know that. We know what the odds of 26 in a row are and they are not good. We’d need a time machine to pretend we don’t know. 2. Coins are not part of this anyway. 3. Take the emotion of rooting for the Bills out of it and just use the statistics. Here is a good example: https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/why-almost-everyone-gets-the-monty-hall-probability-puzzle-wrong/#:~:text=Most people think it doesn, the time if you stay.

You’re mixing up the two main components here but thanks for not being nasty. Remember when the Bills kept winning blowouts and hadn’t won a close game in a while? The press and a lot of people on this board said that meant they would automatically lose a close game. Not true but it kept being said. Now there is growing noise about the Bills needing to have turnovers on their side. It’s all noise and they should nip it in the bud before it becomes an even bigger distraction. With the odds being we will lose it anyway, I’m not sure why people are talking about friggin coins. That would matter if the Bills only won when they defer but it doesn’t matter because their is no way to control the coin flip. I don’t think NE even tried that back in their glorious cheating days.

Do blocked kicks count as turnovers? Maybe Prater can just kick into the line. He’s probably gone soon anyway. Someone upthread spoke about risk to the player so just make a guy we’re losing anyway do it.
-
This is actually a valid point. I hadn’t thought of it. It would be interesting to see how the league reacted when the player indicated he was trying to help the team in the long run. It’s probably not worth the risk.
-
Well then I guess you should have talked to Pete Rose…….and about a hundred other players…..before the odds caught up with them. I guess it was all in their imagination.
-
Then why hasn’t Joe Dimaggio’s hit streak ever been broken?
-
It’s stats 101.
