  1. Do people love Josh Allen because Todd McShay told them they should? How about instead of bashing the article, someone comes up with one QB in the history of football that had stats as crappy as Allen's in college and became a good pro. Just one. More would be better but one is a start. That would refute the article and the method. But nope. Wishes and buts are now candy and nuts and Allen will bring us a wonderful Christmas because Santa Todd said. He will be even better if we give the Giants 3 first rounders, 2 seconds and two thirds for their #2. I think if we throw in Eichel so the Giants can get him over to the Rangers then Allen is HOF material.
  2. Luckily he wasn't passed out drunk being photographed by a slut at the time.
  3. Based on this input only, if given the choice, I would opt for Mayfield. Lalueleluelaluletta doesn't even make the board?
  4. The waaaaaaaaahhhhhh I want a QB crowd doesn't like math much so they Alinsky people talking about it. I never saw you as a commie.
  5. So these guys all fit somewhere between Sanchez and Henne? Let's trade all our picks.
  6. I don't know how someone can document "slow". With that said, have you seen Leighton Vander Doodle interviewed? You can't watch for more than 3 seconds without being reminded of the catcher from the Major League movies. Stills hat isn't truly documenting anything.
  7. I've noticed this happening in the off years when New England hasn't been caught cheating.
  8. He won't truly be gone until the Sabres are a good team. The new regime should not be saddled with his horrendous choices like neck tattoo and Nylander but they are. He dug a hole very deep but these guys deserve a real chance to escape it. The normal NHL rebuild cycle is far longer for the Sabres because of Murray. It is hard to fathom how bad he was without at least allowing for the possibility that he did it on purpose.
  9. The new regime is still a question mark. They took over for the worst GM in the history of professional sports. With that said, Vegas didn't even exist a year ago and they won a division. Given that Vegas started from scratch and is competitive now and factoring in the Sabres need to overcome Murray, it is realistic to assume that the Sabres can be competitive by 2028.
  10. pffff. No neck ink? They should have given out Tim Murray voodoo dolls.
  11. I thought it couldn't get worse. Then it got worse.
  12. Then why in this thread did you give a one word answer: No to the question of whether even if the most genius of visionaries could lessen the critical nature of the QB? Then why are teams willing to trade cadres of picks but only to move up for a QB?
  13. On a related topic and with an equally simplistic approach I think the most controversial Sesame Street character is Mr. Snuffleupogous because nobody is sure if he is real. It isn't even close really. Sure Ernie and Bert have that thing going on, not that there is anything wrong with that, and Oscar is just a flat out prick most of the time. But they are real. Snuffy? Who knows?
  14. Whaley is number one for people between the ages of 9 and 14. Other than recency, TT and Gilmore don't even move the needle. In 10 years neither of them will be a fan favorite nor will they be hated.
  15. My bad. I thought second.
  16. Ryan Mallet called and said not so fast.
  17. 6 and 12 was a big difference if you're the Colts. They only really moved down two spots, not three, because they know the Jets are going QB. 3 to 12 is 8 spots because the Bils would go QB there.
  18. If it is an ignorant opinion then why does everyone scream from the mountaintops that getting a QB above all else is the only thing that matters? It is called imbalance. In baseball, starting pitching is the most important position, but that is mitigated by needing 5 different guys. Literally anyone on the team with any style at any position can be the most important guy. You don't pass up a top CF prospect because you have to go SS at all costs. Is there another position in any sport that gets 25% of the attention a QB gets before his career even starts? Is there another position where fans advocate trading everything to get one of the "top 4 of this year"? Sure there are Lebrons and McDavids that come along, but they are individuals, not positions. There are arguments about whether Josh Allen can hit the ocean from a boat, yet people scream that we neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed to get him. Roquan Smith has very few question marks. Would anyone on the planet advocate trading 14 picks to move up to 2 and get him? Imbalance Another thread asks the question if someone can come up with a roster or scheming strategy that makes QB need less important. You answered that with one word: "NO". So in one thread you emphatically state that among the hundreds of great minds in football not one can come up with an idea that lessens the importance of QB, and in this thread you call it ignorant to say there is an imbalance? How does that reconcile? Edit: It isn't even a separate thread. It is thus one.
  19. I totally agree but there is one major obstacle: NFL marketing. It is so much easier for them if QBs are the focus. Rules supporting this make it hard to unseat....visionary or not. NFL Football, at present, is an imbalanced sport. You can win in multiple ways in the MLB and NHL. You need three superstars in the NBA but they don't have to be a specific position or style, so there is some variety. Until this methodology hits the NFL in the wallet, no visionary will stop it IMO.
  20. Translation re Housley comments on Nylander: Good kid. Not NHL caliber but tries hard. Deserves to play a meaningless NHL game like a 37 year old career AAA baseball player. Thanks again Tim.
  21. Vander Doodle will not last until 22. Smith probably won't last until 12.
  22. To be fair, they never hired Tim Murray. That is something the Sabres will sadly never claim.
