Maybe. I'm more a fan of reality than supposition. The way teams like Bama, ND, and others schedule, supposition is all we have. The NCAA/FBS is a farce for telling teams they are eligible for the playoff, which is a demonstrable lie.
Weak schedule like Citadel?
If you want to mop them you have to play them. Auburn was favored by 10 in the Peach Bowl IIRC. But this year it's different.
"The core is forming" are the most important four words in your post. The winning streak is awesome, your other points are valid, but these wins counted for two points each.
The Sabres will be better in May than they are now and having banked these points while learning is awesome. I can see bumps coming in 18-19 but it is becoming difficult to see anything but success for this core long term.
Right. Because there was never a year when Luck got hurt and Hasselbeck came in and produced a better winning percentage. I mean other than 2016. So once every two thousand and sixteen years it could happen.
They also went 0-16 last year. At least I think so.
Upstart teams from smaller conferences should have to go undefeated for 17 years straight before having an opportunity at a playoff. Furthermore they should not be scheduled by the big boys who have better things to do, like tying Citadel for 30 minutes.
In other words, the system is working perfectly.
With Thompson I can see the shot and the movement is decent from a lateral standpoint. I think the physical stuff can develop. I just don't see the speed.
