  1. Because all other teams phones are broken or because the 9ers won’t listen to other offers due to the Pats being such nice guys? The law of supply and demand says plan B’s price goes up once plan A falls apart.
  2. What point is there for the Pats to smokescreen the 9ers? Using this rumor as a smokescrren for other teams? Maybe. But the 9ers pick third. Why do the Pats need to deceive them?
  3. I like the idea of drafting that guy but not as a replacement for anyone.
  4. His formula was off. The Gase coefficient is tricky to calculate even for the greatest scientific minds.
  5. All the Edmunds bashing on here annoyed me at first but it is important to listen to people with differing opinions. I went back and watched film and still liked him. He did make some gap mistakes trying to cover for the lack of a 1T whole playing hurt, with only one other LB on the field and the starter at that position out for several games so at first I still cut him some slack. Then I saw something I hadn’t before. On his uniform, up by his shoulder, there is a giant letter C. You can’t see it on every play but trust me it is there. I think this is a Scarlet Letter and a sign of disrespect from the organization. It think it stands for CUT. I trust Beane and if he feels Edmunds has been so bad that he has to wear this sign of shame, well then I guess I’ve changed my mind. You may want to reconsider too.
  6. I’m just guessing on how the board falls and where the Bills might go but my guess is Landon Dickerson. It makes sense to me building for the future at that spot and the only question is whether it causes some kind of internal rift with Morse. This year is closer to guesswork than I can remember.
  7. I’m fine with these idiots in the press saying there are only x number of “blue chip” prospects or even “this year there are only 20 guys with first round grades”, but they ALWAYS have less than 32 “first round grades”. News flash: There are 32 picks in the first round half the time and 31 in years where the Pats got caught cheating again. This means over say a 10 year span there should be 315 “first round grades”. My guess is if you add it all up there are usually about 250. This makes no sense. They should not be be called first round grades if that is the case. Blue chip grades at 250 over 10 years? Fine. But the first round grades should add up to about 315.
  8. Surprisingly after reading through this entire post and carefully considering all details I am now convinced that if the 9ers pass on Jones and he slips to the teens the Bills should consider a trade up............ ......to take a corner.
  9. I could see them liking Jones but trading from twelve to three for him? Why? Until that trade the highest I saw him going was about 20. I’m not saying the risk of losing out on him at 12 was zero, but it had to be lower than what they gave up moving to three.....right?
  10. Can Tre play man, and bump and run? Ask Claypool....if he is up off the ground yet.
  11. I read that whole thing and you did not bash Edmunds even once which is a clear violation of the new board rules. I’ve reported this to the mods.
  12. That’s a nice QB SF has; it would be a shame if something happened to him.
  13. Generally speaking some people need to understand that things are spoken in general terms. Generally speaking RBs aren’t worth a first round pick. Never say never.....or always. I have no idea whether Etienne is worth pick 30.....or even trading up. What I do know is that if he is a great pick at 33, he is not magically a horrible pick at 30. If he turns into Walter Payton, he’d be a great pick at 1. I’m pretty confident Beane didn’t confide his plans to McShay, but it’s not impossible that the blind squirrel found a nut. I think that the Bills are in an interesting position. There are a few players that I’d love to see drop. There aren’t many I’d love to trade up for, unless the price is somehow cheap. If they do, they do.
  14. The Dolphins will trade down from 6 to 18 then back up to 10, but having made so many trades, they will get confused and forget to pick someone.
  15. Terrible huh? Nice take. The defense as designed did not have the proper personnel and Edmunds had to take up much of the slack for that. He was playing injured. His primary LB partner missed significant playing time. Your assessment is : Terrible and anyone who can’t see that wasn’t watching. Okay.
  16. Edmunds is a 22 year old two time Pro Bowler who calls defensive plays, normally has only one other linebacker companion, played behind a DL with no 1T, with and injured shoulder for most of the year. You want to replace him with a rookie who has character issues and evidently feel that’s an easy improvement for our defense. You’ll throw in our 1 with him. But that’s not bashing. Got it.
  17. Abra Cadabra Ala Kazam.....any thread can be turned into an Edmunds bash.
  18. Abra Cadabra Ala Kazam...any thread can be turned into an irrational Edmunds bash.
  19. For immediate impact I think RB is a possibility. I think a better one would be a legit OLB that would allows us to use 3 LBs more frequently. Edmunds and Milano are both decent+ in coverage, and if the third guy is too, we may need the extra corner on a lower percentage of plays. That could have impact IMO. Personally I think the best hope and mix is short/long term is if a top notch corner slips. For long term I think finding another 1T is imperative and that it would be great if that guy was able to backup Star this year.
