  1. From the article: "Unprovoked"? Spandex mafia apologists at it again.
  2. I don’t think this was the right thing to do under any circumstances but understand she was troubled. Perhaps she should have waited until she saw a spandex mafia parade before using this strategy.
  3. Trade deadline is July 30 after which he’d have to clear waivers. They could cut him though.
  4. When I opened this thread I was hoping it would be about some broad running over some spandex mafia.
  5. First time Skinner has played a team game in quite a while.
  6. Definitely a serial killer even if he hasn’t been caught yet.
  7. It is petty by the Eagles. Ertz probably deserves it for acting like a pouty puss but it will probably hurt the Eagles more in the long run with other players who might be less inclined to sign there. They should realistically just release him like any team would with a malcontent player worth about a third of his cap hit. They’re probably focused on something short sighted like denying him a path to re-join Wentz or something silly.
  8. That is a little weird but it is probably because no one wants him. That’s not a comment on his playing ability as much as it is his salary. The Eagles probably don’t want to eat any of it but no team in their right mind is shelling out 8.5 for him.
  9. Did Wentz injure him, cause him to take so long to recover, ask him to go through the motions upon his return or jinx the connection with Hurts?
  10. Excuse-o-meter set to kill. The two offenses are not the same and comparing Ertz catch numbers to Knox is flat out silly. Look, Ertz was decent, albeit overrated, at one point in his career but those days are obviously gone. Throwing a chunk of the salary cap on wishful thinking is not Beane’s MO.
  11. Perhaps that went over your head. The point is that Ertz primary appeal at this point in his career is his “big name”. He was absolutely horrible last year and his name won’t help him in 2021. Is a bounce back to above average possible? Sure. So is a leap forward from the younger, stronger, hungrier guys we already have. Tony Gonzalez still has a big name but would be no help to the Bills in 2021. Ertz wouldn’t be either IMO. As for “we don’t know what is happening right now”, that is true but it is clear that there isn’t some sort of bidding war for Ertz. Why might that be? Beane has managed the roster and cap in a highly efficient manner and has some big contracts to core guys coming up. Throwing draft picks and big money at a washed up tight end does not align with really anything else he’s done since he got here.
  12. Watching the colorful display of flailing spandex as the careless buffoons tumbled wasn’t reward enough?
  13. How many times have you read on this board someone wanting to trade Edmunds? How many times for all of our other starter’s combined?
  14. In case anyone hadn’t noticed Beane is not dumb. This means no Ertz. 1. We have a lot of weapons and had a successful offensive season last year. We’ve added more than we’ve subtracted already. 2. Knox, Hollister, and possibly even Sweeney plausibly could emerge. 3. We are in a position where we’ll have to pay some big salaries moving forward. 4. Ertz has a high salary and will likely want a raise or extension 5. Ertz blows Any 3 of the above 5 points are enough to say no to Ertz. If you disagree with three or more, that might be enough to cough up a 7th for this tird. Otherwise….nope. Name recognition is his entire appeal.
  15. GMTM was let go too early? Shirley you can’t be serious. He was given a pile of assets to build a team and turned that into a pile of crap all the while talking down to anyone and everyone within earshot. He was quite possibly the worst GM in the history of professional sports.
