I tried for the first time today. Got it on my last try. After my second guess I had the whole thing except the fourth letter then had three unsuccessful guesses, all valid , then got it on the last one with the only viable letter left on the table. Annoying. I opened with Feast.

Based on the evolving rules and the ratings driven by them I think this is an uphill battle. Given that, teams don’t have an immediate alternative so I think your premise has some merit. I don’t think it will work but I could see a team trying it. IMO an NFC team might be a better candidate given the gap at QB might be small enough there to allow them a playoff berth. They won’t have a weekly gauntlet of Allen, Mahomes, Burrow etc. Get to the playoffs with the contrarian style and go from there. It sounds crazy but I see Detroit as a viable candidate.. One team seems to be trying to “middle” this. Indy. It failed in 21 because Carson Wentz sucked really bad. I think they were trying to get ok QB played and they failed. They’re trying again.

The point was really just to say that a young player at a premium position could/should fetch more than an older established high $ player in trade return. Young just came to mind. I think QB>DE>WR>LT>CB>all else in trade return. QB is off the table in this thread so I picked a young DE literally and figuratively. FWIW I don’t think a strong rookie year and an injury in year 2 qualifies as supremely underplaying and personally I think teams would cough up a lot for Young but that point is secondary. Nick Bosa if you prefer.

Too many $$$$$ to offset the trade value. Someone on a rookie contract. Chase Young maybe.

I clicked the audio button before I scrolled down and saw this was about the Jr. Sabres. It starts: “Out walks Jack Eichel……these kids erupt”. Lol I thought it was about the trade and subsequent play of the Sabres young guys. I was confused for a second as he continued to talk.

I’ve softened my ROR criticism since it became evident that his issues were probably with Eichel. I do like Tage though. He has surprised me this year. Okposo is clearly a leader and a professional presence so there is some value there.

As far as being good for the team Tuch is so much better than Eichel.

This time the rebuild really looks like it is working to me. Thompson is vastly improved. Dahlin’s critics better get out the ketchup because if they’re not ready to eat their words yet, they will be soon. He’s 21 and jumps off the screen. There are still issues but most things are looking up. Skinner’s contract is still an albatross. He seems to be trying to play more of a team game but he really isn’t good.
