  1. There is a dimension in our universe known as “time”. You may be familiar with it.
  2. If the Seahawks knew and didn’t reach out to the Bills over the last few days to inform them of what they knew, then the Seahawks would have to be a real shady outfit.
  3. A statement from a victim is by definition an allegation, not evidence. Obviously these are allegations of horrible acts and should never be ignored, but calling it evidence is a dangerous path. A allegation deserves investigation, which may or may not turn up evidence. If I said my cat had kittens and SectionC3 stole them, I have not provided any evidence, I’ve only alleged something.
  4. Someone asked that. He said in the last few days they’ve spoken with “double digit” teams, none of whom heard anything. If a team did know something, given the current firestorm, my guess is they would have reached out to Beane.
  5. His story could have stayed the same with or without lies included or an insufficient amount of information. The Bills could have discovered more detail, or a lie. It does not mean this is what happened, we just can’t know that it did not.
  6. If the Bills or any organization puts image above truth then their image will be an illusion. We know a very small percentage of how much the Bills know, when they knew and the whole truth of the situation. The Bills are simply not in a position to share details of something like this. Judging the Bills favorably or unfavorably at this point in time is silly. Based on Beane and McD’s track record I give them a very strong benefit of the doubt. I think they both care deeply about the truth because the truth is the only place from which a strong culture can be built.
  7. They can’t explicitly say he lied. That would be opening them up to lawsuits initiated by Araiza. He may have left things out…..they may have found out he lied from newly revealed facts…..lots of stuff.
  8. Or they were satisfied with Araiza’s initial response/explanation but found out later he lied about part of it. We may never know and there are parts that shouldn’t be public until the appropriate time. Criminal cases outweigh civil which outweigh fans “need to know” by miles.
  9. 100% of the currently public info originated with the accuser. It may indeed be the whole story. If not, and somehow Araiza is telling truth to the Bills and they cut him for PR, how does that go over in the room when 3 months from now when more facts come out? Yes, the press will drop it, but as McD pointed out there are people involved. The correct remedies are so simple to apply once the truth is known. Personally I’d cut him even if he had nothing whatsoever to do with the incident but covered it up for his buddies. If he lied at all to the Bills, bye. Obviously anything beyond that he should rot in jail. If he is exonerated but still cut, I think that is a bad look in the room. People matter. The truth matters.
  10. I think that eats a roster spot. That’s a no no.
  11. I’m not sure how much time the 2’s even saw. I never even heard a couple of the names before.
  12. Any Star Trek fans? https://pagesix.com/2022/08/24/maria-shriver-looks-unrecognizable-in-santa-monica/
  13. It wouldn’t be great but it’s not impossible that Beane knew but McD did not.
  14. Shirley Check the Kim Pegula thread on this board and count how many people are adamant that the Bills owe the fans full disclosure. It’s very similar. I’ll agree that Araiza’s issues eventually need to be explained by the Bills but your 12 hour standard based on Twitter is simply incorrect and if teams adhered to this every time someone demanded it, the world would get even crazier.
  15. Dude. Please attach a filter of some sort. Nobody needs to read your thoughts on women’s preferences and I’m pretty sure your request for information from female posters will go unanswered.
  16. And they should also have a web site up with free access to Kim Pegula’s medical records right? 12 hours of silence is deafening? 12 hours? Consider that anything they say or do has potential impact on whether they could be party to a civil suit and at what level…..or at least they have to protect against that. The lawyers for both parties here are clearly loose cannons. There is no need for the Bills to turn into a third one.
  17. Terrific. Now do the part again about how Haack immediately got picked up. What was your source on that? Haack pretty much stinks and was probably the most replaceable player on last year’s 53. He seems like a pretty good guy but losing out on the opportunity to keep him is the least impactful portion of this situation by a light year.
  18. Shirley. 1. You have no idea whether it was close in camp. 2. He did not get immediately picked up like the corner that went to NYG. He got picked up after another team’s punter got hurt.
  19. I generally agree and based on the clearly incomplete information available so far, think the most likely truth is that terrible things happened to her. Whether Araiza was directly or indirectly involved is less clear and theBills need to do what is best in their judgment and based on the facts they have. It is possible that her lawyer is the one going for the deepest pockets. It is highly implausible that she went to that party intending things turn out like this.
  20. Simon posted how it is done in Cali. You read it and commented on it and have been ignoring that for two pages now. WTF?
  21. I wouldn’t. But I also realize that the burden of proof in a criminal trial involves more than the accused being a jerk.
  22. Extraordinarily poorly. The state would have to prove he knew her age. How would they do that?
