You have your 8 players signed to the practice squad and the season has started. A team wants to sign one of your practice squad players to their active roster. Do you have the opportunity to move him to your active roster in order to keep from losing him or is he gone???
-
Here are a few more mid to late rounders(IMO)....
Justin McCariens WR NYJ
Drew Bennett WR TEN
David Carr QB HOU
Erron Kinney TE TEN
Kevin Johnson WR BAL
-
Jason Witten TE DAL in the late rounds. Did you see him last night??
-
How could the Bills have cut our own version of Slash. He was going to be an OL, a TE, a FB on the goal line and maybe even provide some beef on the DL.
Good-bye Jason...we hadly knew ye!

I am surprised that Haddad survived, yet Myers and Beard were let go. Haddad has seen very little action in the pre-season games. Maybe because of the film they have on Haddad, they already know what he is capable of versus the rookies who have never been in the NFL.

i must admit, i'm disappointed that these two were cut.
i'd like to see peters on the practice squad. in two years, he might be something special. now another team can put him on their practice squad...i wish they had waited until the final cuts, so that no one could pick him up unless they want to put him on the active roster.
same with antonio. Both of these guys will be picked up. Brown didn't do much, but either did dante hall in his first *3* years.
4.15 speed is rare, and i'm surprised we didn't keep him.
he'll find a team.
nodnarb...I am pretty sure that even if you are part of the final cuts, you can still sign with any team....either active roster or practice squad.

I would think that the guys currently on the roster who would be targeted for the practice squad would be in the final cuts not todays cuts.

Minnesota 35
Seattle 31
Who knows???

Bober was the starting center last year with the NYG coached by McNally. Many here including me had hopes that Bober would sign here as a UFA and become the new center. I don't believed he even made a visit here instead choosing to sign with KC. Guess what....KC has the best OL in football and he is not starting. Is it all about the money or do you think he regrets not signing with a team where he would have been a starter?
-
I can't say any of them have stood out. I do like what I've seen of Stamer from last year.
PS I has hoping to see something from Crowell considering where he was drafted last year(3rd round).

I think the OL will be much better this year. Jennings & Williams both have another year of experience and the combo at guard of Smith and Villarial is better than Brown & Pucillo. Add in the McNally factor and I have to believe they will be improved over a year ago. The only thing that worries me is Jennings staying healthy, but thankfully our best backup(Price) plays the tackle position.

Steve,
I don't know what the scoring system is or who else was available at the time you picked your players, but in a 14 team league drafting number 5, you have to take a RB. If you had drafted Alexander you could have paired him up with Henry and Quentin Griffin. Then you could have picked a 2nd tier QB in the 5th round or so(Pennington, Brady, etc...), I think you would have been in much better shape. Just my 2 cents coming from someone who also is in a 14 team league drafting this weekend.

Holy cow fellas. Some of you cannot be serious with this thread. Our number 2 and 3 QBs went down with injuries. Travis could be back week 3. JP maybe after the halfway point. TD goes out and signs a stop gap player until that point. Now you guys are gonna cry that the Bills are carrying 4 QBs. WTF. You don't have anything better to complain about? Injuries happen. When they do, you have to make the best of it. Some of you B word like a bunch of little school girls. Unreal.
It's called my OPINION. I'm not crying. I'm not bitching. I'm not saying I'm smarter than TD or MM. WTF is this board for genius? If the answer to every post is going to be "I think TD and MM know more than you do", than why not just stick to OT posts and forget about posting opinions about the Bills!
Maybe I should just start multiple posts about a nobodys wife who posed nude in Playboy 100 years ago instead!

From an article in the Rochester D&C....
Donahoe said that neither Brown nor rookie first-round pick J.P. Losman — who suffered a broken leg last week at St. John Fisher College — will be placed on the season-ending injured reserve list. They will be carried on the active roster and be de-activated each week until they are ready to return.
"I think it will automatically short-change you (at another position), but you have to do what you have to do and what's best for us is to carry four," coach Mike Mularkey said.
We are going to carry four QB's for at LEAST 1 quarter of the season?? Ladies & Gentlemen could someone please explain why we would do this. Travis FREAKIN' Brown is not the future of the team nor does he appear to be a good #2 based on 4 training camps in Buffalo. Is TD saying that the other bubble guys have so little potential that we are going to cut them in order to keep Brown.
And a side note to DB regarding this quote....
"Travis is a guy I'm going to fight to keep around," Bledsoe said. "He's a veteran guy who's a great help to me. He's got to get back in the meeting room and on the sidelines with me because I need him around. Much like Alex Van Pelt was the last couple years, he's a guy I lean on when I come to the sidelines. He's a guy I lean on in the mornings when I'm watching film. He's going to have to get that thing fixed and get back in the meetings."
Stop worrying about saving a roster spot for your buddy and concentrate on your own play!

If you didn't catch it live, I am sure it will be on Sports Center. In the 1st quarter, the only thing between Chris Brown and the goal line was Roy Williams and he gave him a straight arm right to the chest that sent Williams reeling onto the turf allowing Brown to run in for the TD. WOW!!!!

God, I am getting SO SICK of replies like this. You added nothing to the conversation except to rip on the author.
Go ahead and say he is an idiot for saying what he said, but then BACK IT UP. I don't even need facts or numbers, just back it up with your opinion.
90% of replies around here have gotten to the point of "You're a moron" "STFU"... why? I dont cane if you call me a moron, but at least elaborate.
I agree stojan!
