Doesn't matter if the play is coming in slow, when the play clock hits 1 or 2, the QB has to call timeout. He has no other choice unless he is not paying attention to it.

This is becoming a very disturbing trend(several times this year already) where JP is unaware of the play clock winding down or one of his teammates bails him out and calls timeout. I would like to believe that a QB in his 3rd year would not struggle with such a basic function. I'm not jumping off the JP bandwagon, but I am started to worry that he is the answer. If JP continues to have more steps backwards than forwards, I can see the coaches giving Nall a chance in week 12 or beyond.

Where's global warming when you really need it! This sh-- sucks in February... downright depressing in mid-October!

Have you ever watched Schobel against the run? He ranges from average to below average. Follow your own advice and watch him play the run some of the time.

Schobel. Constantly out of position on the run and not talented enough to be a top echolon pass rusher. He hides both of these flaws by being Mr. Hustle, but that only goes so far. I wouldn't kick him off the team, but he isn't anywhere near the dominant DE some make him out to be.

If you want continuity, we have Chuck Lester! I'm not sure what the coaches see in Shelton, but I'd love to know what it is, because it is not easily detectable on my TV set.

4th and 1 in Bears territory, the Bills are trying to gain some momentum and for the second game in a row Shelton false starts. For the few plays where the Bills use a FB, there has to be someone out there better than this pretender.

Did you see Coy do a fabulous job of outside containment on a couple of short yardage plays. Only one problem...How does Jauron expect Coy to accomplish his famous pile-on move on an inside running play, when he is on the outside.

No. It's the same Schobel I've been watching for several years. He is not the great player some think he is.

Schobel is overrated and don't tell me he is always double teamed. I saw him get completely taken out of a running play by a TE which is unusual, because on most running plays he is 5 yards up the field trying to rush the passer even though it is a running play. Way to play the run Mr. High Motor!

I'll have to keep a closer eye on these two, but except for the Miami game when we went on a pass rushing frenzy, I haven't seen a lot of pressure nor plays in terms of run stopping.

Wait a minute. Two posts ago you said he was one of the top 3 CB's in the NFL, now you have downgraded him to "he is a good CB"? He is not "great" and therefore he does not warrant a 7 million dollar salary. It's a moot point. I don't believe the Bills are going to get him to sign a contrtact prior to FA and at that point, he will sell his soul to the highest bidder.

The Bengals are going to have some defensive problems this year, but I am shocked that the Pats shut them down offensively.

The scoreboard operator SUCKS at putting up the scores of other games. They should be up there continuously. In the 2nd half of the opener, I am not sure the scores were shown more than once(if it all).

I'd like to see the supervisor of officials on NFL Total Access break down this call like he does one or two calls every Monday. Oops..I forgot I don't get the NFL Netowrk anymore. FU Time-Warner!

-Shelton...misses as many blocks as he makes. Terrible hands in the passing game. -Maybe Royal will be better as the season wears on. Considering he was one of the first guys the Bills targeted, I expected more. -You want to jump all over Whitner for poor play, but you did not see Johnson complete several passes in the 1st quarter to the WR Clements was covering. Whitner is a rookie 4 games into his NFL career. Clements is a 7 million dollar CB. One of the top 3 CB's in the NFL?? I guess we'll agree to disagree.

- JP has played better than I expected. Hopefully he will continue to progress throughout the season and the QB position will not have to be addressed(AGAIN) in the off-season. - Shelton SUCKS! Bring back Joe Burns, bring back Earthquake Enyart, bring back Ricard. Just make Shelton GO AWAY! -WM has had some VERY good moments running the ball. Pass blocking still leaves a lot to be desired, but that block he layed on that DL today was AWESOME! -I thought we signed Triplett in the off-season? Did he change his mind and decide to stay in INDY? -Schobel continues to be a mystery to me. He continues his pattern of being a dominant force against some doormat of an OT and then proceeds to disappear for a few games. -Evans has been every bit as good as advertised. Parrish, Price & Reed have been very solid. -The TE's continue to be average at best. Everett has shown nothing and Royal wants the number of the truck that ran over him today. Can we bring back Euhus or Reimersma back for another chance? -Surprisingly, Whitner and Simpson have not been picked on more. If they can continue to progress, we can forget about having to address the starting safety positions for many years to come. -For a low round draft choice, Ellison has stepped in as a rookie and done a helluva job filling in for Spikes. Crowell has also been solid. -Clements is good, but not great. He was picked on several times in the first half and Brad Johnson did not seem to be shying away from his side at all. He is a very good corner, but not worth 7 million a year. Find a 2nd tier CB to replace him next year(3 mil or so per year) or draft a CB in one of the first two rounds of the draft. You can never have enough good DB's. - A 2-2 start has to be pleasing for Jauron and Co. After 5 years of GW & MM, it is so nice not to hear about bullhorns, alarm clocks, trick plays, media battles, etc... GO BILLS!!!

I hope this was an oversight. Kelly is the guy who is on the other end of almost all his career receptions and he doesn't even mention him.

He's been in the league for 3 years now, but let's not rush him too quickly? We finally have a QB who can run(when needed) and instead some say "let's not give him too much at once". Instead stay in the pocket no matter what and get your brains beat in. Sounds like a confidence builder to me.

I saw a guy with a pint bottle of liquor. The security guys confiscated it and walked away. My question is...why aren't people thrown out if they are caught with liquor inside RWS?

In that case, I have one ass cheek reserved for Bowlen and one for Jones, because they can both kiss my A$$ and be assured that I will NEVER pay that much to park for a sporting event.
