Willis crossed the line

I'm over here. If you get your head out of McGahee's lap, maybe you would have seen me. -
$719,000 in jewelry? I missed that the first time around.

PFW - Tim Anderson on way out
LabattBlue replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
But but but, he passed the Krumrie wrestling test, so that made him a good pick. Good bye Anderson and thank god Krumrie is no longer here. -
Excellent point. To think that I would never agree with you on anything regarding WM!

http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/news/...ts/16401750.htm Father knows best? A third paternity suit was filed against Willis McGahee, 25, Buffalo Bills running back and former University of Miami Hurricane. Keisha Walls, 27, an elementary school teacher, says McGahee is the father of son Kai Walls, born April 19, 2006. Chiniqua Smith, 26, also a teacher, says McGahee is the father of Willis McGahee IV, born Jan. 6, 2006. Dorothy Doretha McNeil, 29, sued McGahee in 2005, saying he fathered daughter Bria McGahee, born Jan. 17 of that year. Somebody needs to sit down with Willis and explain the finer points of the birds and the bees.

30 day deadline for bass pro may be relaxed...
LabattBlue replied to LabattBlue's topic in Off the Wall Archives
...and vice versa. I have a feeling Bass Pro kept going to the well until the city/ECHDC officials wouldn't take it anymore. -
This city is unbelievable. In mid December, they gave Bass Pro a 30 day ultimatum to sh-- or get off the pot. Now two weeks later, the powers that be(Erie Canal Harbor Development Corp) are singing a different tune. Once again, no surprise that any attempt at progress always comes to a crawl in WNY. ...Quinn, who has led the direct talks with Bass Pro senior executives over the last 16 months, noted the Christmas and New Year's holidays did limit contact over the last two weeks. He hinted that the stated Jan. 16 deadline to get a final decision from Bass Pro might be loosened by a few days to compensate for lost negotiating time. Anthony H. Gioia, the development corporation's chairman, confirmed the deadline could be extended if there are signs a deal is imminent. "Nobody's going to be stupid. If we're within a heartbeat of a deal, we're not going to point to the clock and shut the door," Gioia said, adding that any extension would be "days, not weeks, or months." Gioia & Quinn...today it may be extended by a couple of days, tomorrow it will be a couple of weeks and before you know it, it will be 2008 and we'll still be in negotations! What's left to negotiate...Bass Pro takes the deal or they go away forever. http://www.buffalonews.com/editorial/20070104/1013597.asp

I don't know about every sports talk station, just the assclowns at WGR(except for Howard Simon most of the time). -

Way too much time and effort spent by certain WGR hosts trying to be funny(failing most of the time) and not enough time trying to be a credible sports talk station. -

This McGahee crap is getting old...
LabattBlue replied to Boatdrinks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Did I say that a DT was easy to replace? NO! Replacing a medicore RB? It wouldn't be the biggest challenge Marv has ever faced. It doesn't have to be Thomas either. There will be plenty of alternatives in FA or the draft. -

You're not budging in your defense of WM, so I will conclude this debate with... Learn from your mistakes...Didn't you defend DB until the very end also??? -

Who cares about Edge, I thought we were talking about WM. Did you ever consider that maybe the reason his stats are down is because he has little left in the tank after taking a pounding in Indy for many seasons? As far as WM goes, he has carried the ball over 850 times in his career and you want to cite one or two instances to make a case against my stance on WM. Keep trying... He is a straight ahead runner with average speed & no elusiveness, who either doesn't have the strength or the willingness to be a power runner. Quite possibly the easiest player to replace on the entire team. -

Just because he got to 2000 yards faster than any other RB in Bills history means he is productive? Show me YPC, TD's in a season, yards in a season and come talk to me about production. Not some cumulative stat that proves that the Bills don't have a good track record of developing RB's in their first three years. I'll say it until I'm blue in the face...he is a straight ahead runner with average speed & no elusiveness, who either doesn't have the strength or the willingness to be a power runner. Quite possibly the easiest player to replace on the entire team. -
If you were GM, who would be your #1 target in Free Agency?

I said this before the draft and I've stuck to my guns since that day. -

This stat doesn't mean sh--. Based on this WM is better than OJ, Thurman or even Joe Cribbs? To this point in his career, WM can't even sniff the jocks of any of these 3 players. -

I agree. Steinbach is going to get a Hutchinson like contract, but Diehlman appears to be someone who wouldn't break the bank, yet would be a great upgrade at RG. I'm not sure how much of a spending mood Ralphie will be in, but also bringing in a LB and a WR to seriously compete for starting jobs would also go a long way towards a successful season next year. -
Matt Millen must have some compromising pictures of the
LabattBlue replied to ganesh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If I remember correctly, Millen doesn't even live in Detroit(or didn't in the past). As part of his gig, he comes and goes as he sees fit. I'll be disappointed if Millen drafts anyone but Jarrett! -
Unbelievable ending. In the 3rd quarter when the OU punt went off the ankle of the Boise State player, you could sense the momentum change. After the INT for the TD, the OU fans were probably thinking "we are going to celebrate tonight". Then, not only do they get kicked in the nuts on the hook and ladder play, they get beat on a direct snap and TD pass by a WR, followed by a coach going for 2 and pulling it off with a statue of liberty play.

Marv already promised NC last year that he wouldn't him tag him again. I don't see Marv going back on his word.
-
I just don't see Clements signing here in any scenario. Somebody will break the bank for him in a way that Ralph doesn't even have dreams about. I'd consider giving Fletcher a 2 year deal, but only if there is not a better option in FA. Lindell just signed a 5 year contract. I have no problems with any of the guys you want to release except for maybe Greer & Price. Anderson, Reyes & Villarial bring nothing to the table. I like the TKO restructure, but not sure he would agree to it.

My Buffalo Bills' Player Evaluations.
LabattBlue replied to 2003's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
2003...Your grading seems to be a WEE BIT generous. The only A's that I would be handing out would be for Evans, Moorman, Lindell & Peters, with an A- or B+ for Schobel & Clements. The rest of the high grades you gave out are belated Christmas gifts. If I was guessing the Bills record based on this, I would say 10-6 or 11-5.
