There is no way that I would choose Novotny and Mair over Pyatt and Grier. Not even close.

I don't want to come across as a naysayer, but I have that same sick feeling in my stomach. It just doesn't seem like this team was built for the playoffs. You gave up a lot of size and grit when you let McKee, Dumont, Grier and even Pyatt walk out the door. I know that anything can happen come playoff time, so I guess I'll just keep my fingers crossed.

Personally, I think Darien Lake is an overpriced joke and I has hoping that somehow it would be bought by the company that operates Cedar Point and other parks. Other than a couple of new waterslides, what has been upgraded in the last several years?

Hopefully the proposed development of the inner harbor(adjacent to the arena) will eventually spur the opening of 2 or 3 restaurants/bars within a stones throw of the arena. We'll see.
