  1. The Bills OLB corp has a very good chance of being a train wreck this season. They consist of four guys who played DE last year(one of who is leaning towards retirement, another one who is a mediocre DE and two others who were nailed to the bench). In addition, you have a late round draft choice. You have to look no further than the failed Aaron Kampan expirement to know that the Bills are walking on thin ice when it comes to this position for 2010. I can't figure out which position is more likely to kill the Bills this year...OLB or OT.
  2. Not if Johnson sticks to his guns... "...Johnson also told The Post that he will refuse to lift the hugely unpopular PSLs for the unsold lower-bowl seats on a game-by-game basis just to avoid blackouts this fall."
  3. The 4-3 doesn't suck, the undersized Tampa 2 4-3 sucks! The Bills could have probably saved themselves an extra year of rebuilding by sticking with the 4-3 and replacing a couple of players instead of switching to the 3-4 and then turning 3 of your DE's into OLB'ers(ask GB how that worked out with Kampman), creating a position(NT) which you had absolutely no players on the roster to fill that spot, along with the DE position which at the time the switch was announced, you had one former DT moved to DE. So by switching to the 3-4, you created holes at both OLB, NT and DE, not to mention depth at these positions.
  4. I can hear it now... Buddy...He was the highest ranked player available on our board and was the guy we were going to trade back into the first round for. We are very happy he was still there in the 2nd round. blah blah blah...
  5. 10 minutes into the broadcast and the yelling over the top of each other has already begun.
  6. Much like the NFL pre-game shows which have become unwatchable over the last decade, ESPN has lost sight of the fact that less is more. Young must have thought that there was only 1 person on the set instead of 5. STFU! The often forgotten KISS principle should come into play here. Berman, Kiper & TJ on the main set with the occasional cut away to Suzy, Mort, Schefter and the remote site reporters. Whether Kiper is right or wrong, he is what has made watching the draft enjoyable over the last two decades.
  7. LabattBlue: [typing] I had typed for 6 years & 7 months [he stops and turns around] Young Man Typing Next To Him: Quiet, quiet! He's gonna say something! LabattBlue: [pause] I'm pretty tired... I think I'll stop typing now.
  8. I know it is only a rookie mini-camp, but if the number is retired no player should wear it at any point including rookie mini-camp, OTA's, training camp, preseason games or regular season games.
  9. Don West was unbelievably entertaining when he was pitching baseball cards, etc...
  10. I'm interested to see what the Bills do with Whitner after this year. He will have one more year left on a contract that averaged 6 mil per year. Unless he raises his level of play a LOT, they aren't going to offer him anything close to this in terms of a new contract.
  11. I listen from time to time(mainly listen to Sirius), but not very often. If anything I might listen more if they replaced them with someone else.
  12. Except for Schoop, Bulldog & Simon who is the big money talent they recruited for on air duty?
  13. What a shame. Didn't the NFL Films division take a big hit when the NFL announced some layoffs last fall?
  14. If they dumped S&B and replaced them with Brian Koziol or some other lesser known person either at the station or from the outside, does anyone believe ratings will go down or do people just want to tune into and listen to "Buffalo Sports Talk"(and I use the term loosely when it comes to some of the programming they put on).
  15. How the heck do you know how Jerry Jones feels right now?
  16. ...and Mike Williams was viewed as a solid top 5 pick several years back. There are a lot of teams who like certain players every year. Some make it. Some bust. Until he puts on a uniform he is just another 2nd round pick.
  17. What report would that be?
  18. How about this for starters... "John Carroll honors alum Tim Russert"
  19. I care. I think Favre playing QB for Minnesota twice this upcoming season against Green Bay is a lot more interesting than Sage Rosenfels or Tavaris Jackson at the helm.
  20. That was a unbelievable finish. Watching the overhead shot on the replay, it was jaw dropping to see what Mine That Bird did coming off the final turn.
