Excuses, excuses and more excuses. I guess you are one of the fans who is "happy" with this 3-10 team.
-
Okay...they are better than past years, but by how much, I don't know? Let's see what they have to show in their last 3 games against division rivals who have everything to play for.
-
Both. I just choose to look at ALL the games, not just the 3 or 4 where Fitz played well.
-
What exactly has Gailey done that is so great? Fitzpatrick has played all but two games(so Edwards the whipping boy can't be blamed), and the Bills are ranked 23rd in points per game, 26th in yards per game and 26th in time of possession. Take away the two games where Fitz lit it up(which accounted for 38% of his TD passes), and the offense doesn't look much different from past seasons...in the bottom 1/3 of the NFL.

Sometimes he is good with interviews and sometimes he is awful. He is awful when he asks questions, and then before giving the guest a chance to answer, he moves onto the next question. The recent Billy Joel interview was like this, and it was so bad, I turned it off. For me, Howard is at his best when there are no guests and it is just talk between the staff.

I Don't Blame Fitz At All For Yesterday
LabattBlue replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't know who the 3 QB's are from the last two drafts are that you are referring to, but drafting one in the 7th round(Brown), shouldn't stop you from drafting one in the top 5 picks the following year. -
C'mon PTR, I expect this kind of question from NJsue, not you. http://tarheelblue.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/quinn_robert01.html

Spiller is a disappointment as a KR. As soon as he gets within 10-15 yards of an opponent, he slows down and starts with the juking. When returning kickoffs, it has to be catch the ball, pick a lane and go 100%. It is not the same as punt returning and that's what it seems like he is doing everytime he returns a kick.

Carolina only has 1 win.

Roll Call - Who would have preferred to lose?
LabattBlue replied to The Senator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Winning a couple of games over the last 6 weeks is not going to make or break this team for the future. It's not like they are going to go 6-0 and make the playoffs, so who cares if they go 0-6, 1-5 or 2-4. If it means getting a chance at Luck, here's to losing out the rest of the way, and Carolina and the rest of the bottom feeders finding a way to win another game or two. -
I may have read the New article wrong from a couple of weeks ago, but I believe one of the things the Security firm was told to change was that even though the entire force is made up of off duty sheriffs/cops, they were not allowed to have the words police or sheriff on the back of them because they were working off-duty.

Schopp sticks his foot in his mouth yet again

Disclaimer - I rarely listen to GR anymore as I have had Sirius for a few years now. That being said, my small amount of listening time is enough to formulate the following opinion... There is little effort put into producing the shows. The guest list is comprised of Sully a few days a week and Paul Hamilton spouting the same lousy rhetoric twice a day on the morning & afternoon shows, 5 days a week. Is there nobody in the world of sports that is interesting enough to book on these shows? In addition, would it kill them to allow one of the other staffers to have the occasional shift in the evening instead of replaying "the best of"(I use the term loosely)? -
5 things that make this team better next season
LabattBlue replied to Got_Wood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Any mention of Maybin playing more and the team getting better next year, just don't belong in the same post. -
1. The coaches feel he is not better than any of the DE's on the active roster each week(which doesn't say much for Carrington). 2. He can't contribute on Special Teams.
-
God, does this team need some Luck.
LabattBlue replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Did you forget that a team drafting after the bills with QB needs, could always trade up(assuming the Bills don't end up with the #1 overall pick)? -
McDermott on thin ice in Philly?
LabattBlue replied to Lintyfresh85's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Didn't Wade have to sue Ralph in order to collect the remaining amount on his contract after he was fired? He isn't coming anywhere near this organization as long as Wilson, Overdorf & Littman are around. -
SOME MAN-LOVE FOR JIM KELLY
LabattBlue replied to South Jersey Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can respect Kelly for being outspoken about the Bills staying in Buffalo. Two concerns... #1 Does he really have the partners lined up to buy the Bills? His ownership stake would clearly be a very small one unless he has had wild success building his wealth in his post football years. #2 After watching what Larry Quinn has done with the Sabres organization, if Kelly does have a group that could buy the Bills, I'd be concerned that he ends up with a very nice position within the new regime. The part that scares me is Kelly has NO experience in running a football organization or building a team, but comes across as someone who would immediately make himself part of the football decision making group. -
Any one ever have to replace a birth certificate?

I used this company earlier this year. http://www.vitalchek.com/ -
Just because he is a straight shooter and is somewhere above average in terms of scouting players, doesn't mean he knows diddly about building a football team.

Keep it going Nix....Im with ya!
LabattBlue replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What is crystal clear about this plan... - Allow your HC to hire his staff with little concern for lack of experience/success outside of DeHaven. - Move to a 3-4 defense and then ignore the fact that you don't have the players required for this switch. - Run up to the podium on draft day ASAP without even listening to offers for your first couple of picks. - Draft a player in the first round at a position that is far and away your biggest strength. - Lose a promising UDFA from your practice squad in J. Bell because you couldn't decide what to do with the 3 headed RB monster and then a couple of weeks later, you move Lynch. - Kelsay. Nothing to say. No possible explanation. You know what is crystal clear? Until the names Wilson, Overdorf, Brandon, Littman & Nix are no longer associated with this franchise, this team will not come close to sniffing the playoffs. -
After an 8 year run of win totals between 5-8, it looks like this years team is going to bottom out finally, and rival the 2001 Gregg Williams 3-13 team and the back to back 2-14 Kay Stephenson and Hank Bullough 1984/1985 teams(I won't go any further back as some of the late 60's/early 70's teams were on par or even worse). So how bad is it going to get? 3 wins? More? Less? I believe the defense is so bad that even on the few Sundays this year when the offense can score some points, the defense will allow more. I think we are looking at a 2-14 season.
