  1. I know he has played NT, which IMO he is undersized for, and he has played 4-3 DT, but he has only had a handful of plays at DE in either a 3-4 or 4-3. I don't know how this proves anything in this regard.
  2. Do you really think that much of your opinion that you feel the need to make yourself sound like an NFL scout? Does "waste of time" mean they won't make an NFL roster, will never start a game, something else???
  3. I still have nightmares of the news clip of Bob Rich at the owners meeting waving a blank check in front of the camera. As it turns out, it was a bad move by him(dropping out) as even the sisters of the poor(Royals, Pirates, etc...) make money year after year.
  4. I'm all in favor of a 3 day weekend when the SB is held, but not if it means holding the SB that late in February.
  5. What do you get when you give the SB to an egomaniac? Several hundred fans were turned away at the gates because temporary seating was not up to snuff, per Dallas fire marshall. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/02/06/dallas-fire-marshall-deems-some-temporary-seats-unsafe/
  6. While Bills fans deserve credit for shelling out money over the last decade to watch a crap product, they are far from the best fans in the league. Green Bay which is a much smaller market sells out Lambeau regardless of the product on the field. I'm not saying all these cities(see link below) have better fans than the Bills(market size has a lot to do with many of the sellout streaks), but Green Bay is head and shoulders above most of them in my eyes... http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_NFL_team_has_the_longest_sell_out_streak
  7. My daughter was watching whatever dance show that Paula Abdul is now on, and I had to laugh as the host of the show constantly refers to the judges as "experts".
  8. I never watched the pregame crap during the Bills SB runs and I have even less interest now.
  9. Do you mean how another draft bust Vernon Gholston has FLOURISHED under the savior Rex Ryan? Some guys are busts and it has nothing to do with the coaching they receive.
  10. I agree. Playing the game in a cold weather city in a domed stadium is one thing, but NYC in an open air stadium in February?
  11. ^^^ This(especially the bolded part).
  12. If this was the case, you would see a lot of people talking about Kaepernick at #3 overall along with Gabbert. It is clear that they are not rated the same which is why one guy will be taken in the top 1/2 of the first round and the other guy in round 2, 3 or later. ...and you know this how?
  13. WR depth... Evans - becomes less and less of a factor as the years go by. Johnson - is more concerned with showboating than he is about curing his dropsies. Parrish - Nice punt returner and 3rd down slot guy, but injuries due to lack of size are a concern Nelson - Shows a lot of promise as a 3 and 4 set WR, but his upside is a ???. Jones and Roosevelt - At this point, nothing more than WR's # 5 & 6 or 6 and 7. Easley - Barely saw training camp before getting hurt. Could be the next Hardy or move into the top 4 rotation. Not exactly what a would call an above average group unless comparing them to some of the other positional depth on the Bills.
  14. Lou Saban and Cookie Gilchrist say hi.
  15. They are also counting staff and media members. http://www.star-telegram.com/2011/01/27/2802223/nfl-record-breaking-crowd-expected.html
  16. Sounds like Jerry's ego is running wild and Goodell is buying it hook, line and sinker. Two things...where do they have room in the stadium for 15,000 temporary seats and since when does standing outside the stadium watching the game on TV count as part of the attendance? What a pompous !@#$ Jones is! http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/bills-nfl/article328626.ece "The league is projecting a crowd of at least 105,000, which would break the previous record of 103,895 set during Super Bowl XIV between Pittsburgh and the Los Angeles Rams on Jan. 20, 1980 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif. About 15,000 temporary seats have been installed that will raise the capacity inside the stadium to more than 100,000. In an unprecedented move, the league also counts the 5,000 fans that will view the game outside on giant screens in a party plaza area on the east side of the stadium. The league also plans to sell 500 standing-room-only tickets and other seats with obstructed views."
  17. The Buffalo News did a 4 or 5 page spread on SB 25 yesterday. I refused to even read one word of it. Does anybody really want to rehash those memories?
  18. I'm not enthused about the possibility of the Bills drafting Green, but are you really worried that a player with Green's talent would be taking playing time away form Parrish or Nelson?
  19. The only all-star game among the 4 major sports that even comes close to resembling the game played during the regular season is baseball. The other 3 are completely unwatchable. The only way the games will ever go away is if the networks band together and refuse to televise that crap and/or sponsors refuse to buy advertising during the games.
  20. My point is, you have no idea what kind of player Cam Newton will be in his first four years.
  21. Retatta posts. The gift that keeps on giving.
  22. So Josh Freeman who came out of nowhere can become above average QB in his 2nd year, but Fitz is 10x the player Cam Newton will be even after 3-4 years.
  23. I love all the "trust in Buddy and Chan" crap posted here on a daily basis, but if the Bills select a QB at #3 overall, the pick would be one of the all-time worst. If Cooter and Co. grade Gabbert and/or Newton high enough to warrant the #3 overall pick, then who am I to argue. After all, the first year was such a success, how can they have anything but my 100% backing.
  24. ...and If Jauron was still here and Modrak was the one who got canned last year, Ralph would be putting all the blame on Modrak. Nothing but more spin on an utterly forgettable decade of Buffalo Bills football.
  25. There is no downside to waiting the entire time allotment before making early round picks. Even if they just sit there and see if the phone rings. What if someone calls with a "blow your mind" offer for the pick? It's not like they had the #1 overall and were convinced that Bradford is the guy they want to build the franchise around.
