Buffalo fans, and their love for the backup QB.

100% agree. -
Mickelson is an !@#$ for throwing Watson under the bus at the PC after the tournament. Even worse, Watson was sitting a few seats down from Lefty. I hope he never gets sleected for the Ryder Cup again.

Marrone, Hackett, Whaley, & Company Over their heads
LabattBlue replied to rcatty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
- He gave up next years #1 pick and if this thing continues to implode, it could be a top 10 pick. - You have no QB to get the ball to the WR's, so it doesn't matter how elite you are. Fix the QB problem, and then we will see if Watkins is really an elite WR. -
Marrone, Hackett, Whaley, & Company Over their heads
LabattBlue replied to rcatty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The buck stops at Whaley. - He hired Marrone and during that interview, I am sure Marrone's potential assistants were discussed. - Gave up a #1 for Sammy which if the Bills have a 7-9 record or worse could be disastrous for him with new ownership coming in. - Drafted Manuel at a point when most observers felt was a big reach. 1-1/2 years later, it appears to be a pick that was wasted. - All this talk of the Bills being the best team on paper is just that. The OL has been a trainwreck and continues to be one. Don't know if it is coaching schemes or player talent, but the pass blocking has been way below average. Is it really that had to find above average OG's? - I'm not sure how much input Whaley has in terms of the decision of Orton vs. Manuel, but this is the one that could determine the fate of Whaley and the entire coaching staff. Stick with Manuel too long, let the season fall apart, and you will probably all be gone come next spring. Get Orton in there now, and he might just save all their jobs. -
How many of those 4 dropped passes were game changing plays?

Multiple Reports : Pegula IS the new owner
LabattBlue replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All I ask from Pegula is to make the last 14 years disappear from memory. Marrone, Hackett, Manuel & to some extent Whaley will make his decision to clean house, an easy one. -
EJ stinks, refs blew final call and...

Agree 100%!!!!! -

YES, YES, YES and YES. Pegula needs to clean house the day after the season is over, and bring in an experienced NFL executive to rebuild the FO and coaching staff, and go from there. I am so sick of second rate head coaches and the crappy staffs they put together. I don't know how much say Whaley had in the hiring of Marrone, but he needs to be swift and decisive, and has a lot of convincing to do with Pegula just to save his own job. For his sake, I hope the draft pick he traded away does not end up being a top 10 pick.

4 Major Sports, Longest Playoff Droughts...
LabattBlue replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Which one of the 4 major sports leagues are they a part of? -
With the KC Royals making the playoffs for the first time in 29 years, only the Toronto Blue Jays with a 20 year drought are standing in the way of the Bills playoff woes and their second place 14 year run. Please make it end!!!!

Met Antoine Winfield last night
LabattBlue replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's really sad thinking that they let Winfield and Pat Williams walk away over the course of two seasons. This 14 year period really needs to be vaporized. -

I'm not bothered by it, and won't be bothered by any other person going forward who randomly takes a shot at Buffalo . It doesn't make me love WNY any less. If you choose to get your panties in a wad over it, that is your prerogative. -

Yes, all my life(55 years). It's a great city on the rise, and I could care less what people in the media outside of WNY think. Any other questions? -

They ranked us #2 in tailgating out of all the NFL cities. But instead of focusing on that, look at the negative comment instead. Who friggin' cares. -
Franchise QB's don't guarantee dynasties(multiple SB's), but neither do HoF QB's(Dan Marino, etc..). Bottom line, at least a franchise QB gives you a reasonable shot at the playoffs assuming your GM can build a team as I stated previously. If he sucks at drafting, and makes poor contract decisions in terms of who stays and who goes, the team will still struggle.

As soon as I read "there is nothing else to do in Buffalo", I knew that the "over-sensitive" folks would post about it. -
Multiple Reports : Pegula IS the new owner
LabattBlue replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd be shocked if anyone agreed to pay the Bills $1 mil a year for a preseason game. That being said, if the Bills have 40,000 STH and the average ticket price is $50, that is $2 mil per game that they are moving to a neutral site for $1 mil. In addition all concession revenues for those two games are gone. -

LabattBlue replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You think the Bills would end up with just as much money in ticket revenues if the Bills moved the preseason games to neutral sites instead of including them in STH packages? Also, what makes you think anyone at neutral sites wants to watch the crap the NFL teams call football for 4 weeks every August?
