  1. It's really sad thinking that they let Winfield and Pat Williams walk away over the course of two seasons. This 14 year period really needs to be vaporized.
  2. I'm not bothered by it, and won't be bothered by any other person going forward who randomly takes a shot at Buffalo . It doesn't make me love WNY any less. If you choose to get your panties in a wad over it, that is your prerogative.
  3. Yes, all my life(55 years). It's a great city on the rise, and I could care less what people in the media outside of WNY think. Any other questions?
  4. They ranked us #2 in tailgating out of all the NFL cities. But instead of focusing on that, look at the negative comment instead. Who friggin' cares.
  5. Of course if you don't throw the ball downfield, throw it out of bounds, throw it at players feet, or into the turf, you won't throw many interceptions.
  6. Franchise QB's don't guarantee dynasties(multiple SB's), but neither do HoF QB's(Dan Marino, etc..). Bottom line, at least a franchise QB gives you a reasonable shot at the playoffs assuming your GM can build a team as I stated previously. If he sucks at drafting, and makes poor contract decisions in terms of who stays and who goes, the team will still struggle.
  7. All NFL teams are in constant transition in terms of rosters. The best organizations know which players to re-sign and which to let go, have an eye for talent on the secondary FA market, draft well...AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, HAVE A FRANCHISE QB.
  8. As soon as I read "there is nothing else to do in Buffalo", I knew that the "over-sensitive" folks would post about it.
  9. I'd be shocked if anyone agreed to pay the Bills $1 mil a year for a preseason game. That being said, if the Bills have 40,000 STH and the average ticket price is $50, that is $2 mil per game that they are moving to a neutral site for $1 mil. In addition all concession revenues for those two games are gone.
  10. You think the Bills would end up with just as much money in ticket revenues if the Bills moved the preseason games to neutral sites instead of including them in STH packages? Also, what makes you think anyone at neutral sites wants to watch the crap the NFL teams call football for 4 weeks every August?
  11. My thoughts on all-22... 1 - WR are "blanketed" all the time, and still catch passes. How many times do you see it every game? If you don't have a QB who has the confidence to throw the ball into tight spots(you have to be accurate in order to do this) and trust his WR to make the catch, you will not succeed. 2 - Unless you know the assignments of each and every player, it is not that easy to place blame on a play that doesn't work just because you have all-22. 3 - Unless there is a camera attached to the QB's helmet, it is really tough to determine what he can see as the play develops. That being said, for a football junkie, it is very cool, but to me it doesn't make someone an "expert" i.e Jeremy White, at breaking down plays.
  12. He won't be the person making those decisions.
  13. I posted this in the Pegula/Ownership thread previously. When it comes to front office/coaching staffing, Pegula will spend what it takes. This will really be beneficial with assistant coaches, scouting, making Buffalo a team players want to come to.
  14. Two things... 1 - This game wasn't nearly as close as the score indicates. It was one sided for most of the game 2 - I hate boring football and attending this game in person, it was BORING beyond belief.
  15. So we hate Sullivan when he is negative about the Bills, and we also hate him when he says something positive about them?
  16. http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/bills-nfl/stadium-upgrades-didnt-please-everybody-20140919 I love how the fan they quote in the article has been a STH since 86, but he couldn't figure out how to get in the stadium on time for the ceremony and game. Is is really that hard to figure out to go to another gate and/or get to the gate early? Also, the fan in the pic being frisked is pretty funny. I'd love to know if he was just having fun with it, or was 90% of the way towards being drop dead drunk.
  17. Here you go...
  18. Something like that. $10 a month tops, including NHL Network, MLB Network, Golf Channel, and a dozen or so other channels I've never watched
  19. On TWC, I currently get the NFL Red Zone Channel(part of sports package). I am addicted to this channel, and this has nothing to do with fantasy football. 7 or so hours of football, commercial free. If the Bills are not on TV, this is what I watch on Sundays during football season. Even when the Bills are on, I find myself flipping to the RZ when there is an interruption in play. Kudos to the NFL for coming up with this concept(Not sure when it started. TWC picked it up two years ago when their dispute with the NFL Network has finally settled after numerous years).
  20. The only problem with having a team owned radio station, is many people currently feel that John Murphy is a shill for the Bills on his nightly show, and the same goes for Peters and Sylvester on Hockey Hotline from 10-12 weekdays. Both lead to less than objective on-air conversation. Wouldn't this just continue if Pegula bought a radio station and staffed it with his employees?
  21. Yeah. Why would anyone want to watch a rematch of last years SB when they can watch KC which has been decimated by injuries and Miami who are about as interesting as watching paint dry.
  22. So in other words, the same problem every NFL team has when they play on the road.
