  1. I don't care how many times they roll out "fly eagles fly" today. They got schooled yesterday by Drew Pearson, and there is no topping that today. LOL
  2. I'd still like Peterman or Kelly, but I don't think Peterman will still be around when we pick in the 5th. Kelly on the other hand should be there, and I'd take him in a heartbeat over Cardale and his 3 college starts. Put Cardale on the practice squad where he belongs.
  3. Trade ups are always risky. You are clearly targeting a guy you really are high on. If he ends up being a good player, you look like a genius. If he flops, you look like a fool for two reasons, your scouting of him was wrong AND you gave up extra pick(s) to get said player.
  4. Reason to be happy...yes. Go into camp thinking that it is a given that they will all come out as starters on opening day...no.
  5. I think it is a bit of a stretch to say that the two first round picks can get you near the top of the draft(top 3). 1 - Who know where the Bills and Chiefs finish. If the Bills do their normal 7-9 or 8-8, and the Chiefs end up in the playoffs, you are not moving into the top 3 unless you add more...and I don't mean a 5th round pick. 2 - Chances are that the teams that finish in the bottom 3 will also be salivating over a QB...if the class is as good as the experts think it will be. If so, do you think they want to trade out of said spots?
  6. I like how some posters refer to the Bills first three selections as "3 starters". Until they put the pads on in training camp and play in some preseason games, they are just 3 draft picks. 3 players that fit "areas of need"...yes. Anything more than that is just a guess, and that even goes for the first pick. Here's hoping that they end up not only as starters, but quality players.
  7. Freaking commercial between every pick even though the pick is in? It has to be boring sitting there, seeing "the pick is in", and then....nothing.
  8. If he wanted to tell his story, he could have easily done it at his introductory PC at Falcons HQ today in a normal genuine voice. Instead, he did his best impersonation of Clubber Lang in front of the football world to see. Falcons FO staff had to be mortified, and probably wished they could have a "do over".
  9. I'm just happy that all the Bills games are on TV now, and NEVER have to listen to Murph. I loved him back in the day on WBEN930 "One on One Sports", but as a PbP guy...ugh. He was gifted the role when Van retired and he moved one chair over from analyst to PbP. To make things worse, he is not that old. Probably going to be calling the games for another decade or more. As far as Pegula sponsored radio...I don't even bother. You know it's almost always going to be one-sided.
  10. I agree. There are plenty of WR options that should be there in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Don't toss away a pick you just acquired because you are "afraid of a run on WR's".
  11. I'd like Peterman in the 3rd.
  12. The 49ers, Browns and Jets should all be worse than the Bills in 2018, and if the QB class is as good as people say, no way are any of them trading down or not selecting a QB. This doesn't even include a wild card like the Chargers, who if they stink it up in 2018, may also be looking for a QB, and move on from Rivers. Here's hoping there are more than 3 QB's who can be looked at as "franchise" QB's. [edited]If Bortles doesn't take a big step forward in 2017, you can throw the Jags into the mix also.
  13. I'd be okay with Kelly either of the Bills 5th round picks. IMO taking him in the 2d or 3rd is just too much of a risk when compared to holes in the Bills starting lineup...OLB, FS, WR, RT, etc...
  14. I think the only way the Bills were going to get more than they did, was if there were two teams fighting to move up to ten from the twenties and they got into a bidding war.
  15. Maybe next time don't come at me with your snarky "see how this works". Whatever.
  16. Thank you Mr Know It All. I bow to your superior intellect. Next time I'll remember that post count means everything.
  17. Since Darby was starting OPPOSITE Gilmore last year and not on the bench BEHIND Gilmore, then where is the depth to replace Darby?
  18. Bottom line with selecting a CB with yet another 1st round pick...A team normally carries 5 CB's. If they didn't SUCK at drafting, there would have been someone behind Gilmore ready to move up the depth chart...especially in the new HC scheme that allegedly doesn't require great CB play.
  19. Not sure if this is a complete list... http://deadspin.com/a-running-list-of-espn-layoffs-1794664091 Amazing that a big mouth like Steven A Smith survives, but a lot of quality people got the boot.
  20. You mean "Run Deep" isn't coming back for 2017? I hope the person responsible for that stupidity has been fired.
  21. If the Bills took Foster, what happens to Ragland who Whaley traded up to select last year.? Aren't they both MLB?
  22. Unless the Bills can convince Tyrod to throw the ball into tight coverage and trust his arm and his WR's, it is going to be a long year of "drop back, 1 sec, 2, sec 3 sec, run out of the pocket, and either take off downfield, throw the ball away, or take a sack".
  23. So if the information that was posted a few days ago listing the top 5 players on the Bills board is accurate, I'd be pissed if I was the Bills. How is this information being leaked? Can't believe Pegula, Brandon & Whaley are happy about this. Don't think for a minute that someone in the FO doesn't monitor this message board and aware of what privileged info is being shared.
  24. To anyone who subscribes to the same publication(i.e. Ourlads) year after year, how do this years QB grades(top 5 or so at the position) compare to the past few years. Thx.
