Was it just me or did the Bills sign a bunch of UDFA's who were not highly rated. I looked through the grades on nfl.com and Gil Brandt's list, and only a couple of players that the Bills signed were on there. These are big lists too.

Regardless of who the "real" GM is, you don't think that some very good scouts just got tossed out the door with some bad scouts?

Wasn't Greggo also touted as being very detailed oriented with his plan when interviewed? The Pegula's have no idea what they are doing. If McDermott succeeds, it will just be dumb luck on their part.

I hate this. I'm sure there may be some deadwood in the scouting department, but at the same time, you want to cast a net over all of them, and show them the door? Why not let the new GM address the scouts one by one. If this is true, more dysfunction.

"come back and addresses it" doesn't cut it. How about "comes back, LEARNS FROM HIS MISTAKES, and gets it right!".

If the situation dictates(TT injury or season slipping away), and he is ready, why can't Peterman play and succeed right away? Because of the notion that EVERY QB in order to be successful, must sit and learn for a year? Did it hurt Wilson and Prescott? I'm not saying Peterman will be ready to handle it, but if the HC thinks he can be the man, then turn him loose.

I wonder how much heat the Pegula's would have to take from both the local, and more importantly national media, before they realize they need to get the heck out of the way? IMO they have used up all the goodwill they had built up when first acquiring the franchise(s). To have this upheaval with both team simultaneously is mind boggling.

Any chance they can be convinced that their lacrosse team(Buffalo Bandits) is where they need to focus the most, and leave the Bills and the Sabres to someone else?

...yeah but Snyder is only wrecking one franchise. The Pegula's somehow have both their teams spiraling downward.

My biggest concern is that Pegula has given way too much power to McD...a rookie HC. I just find it hard to believe he is going to be able to thrive in this environment. Head coaches who work 16 hour days and sometimes sleep in the office should leave personnel issues to the GM and his staff.

The Pegula's will continue down this road of being fools, if they have given McD the power that some believe he has been given. IMO it will not end well.

You don't think he is providing advice to Pegula as to how to run his organization? I'm not talking about Russ being involved in day to day football operations

I've said this just a few weeks ago when the Sabres cleaned house. What is the common denominator at the top of both teams... Pegula(s) and Brandon. It all starts at the top...

It's not that Whaley didn't deserve to be fired. It's the timing of it. Why not can him, when you fired Rex. Now it appears they have given way too much power to the new HC, and a new GM will just be his puppet. Pegula's need to get out if the way with both teams... 1 - Talk to most experienced NFL people you can find 2 - Hire a VP of Football Operations or in the case of the Sabres...Hockey Operations 3 - VP hire GM. 4 - GM hires HC with some input from VP 5 - Problem solved.

I'd love to know Pegula's advisors...outside of those listed with the Bills(Brandon). This guy went from never firing anyone to steamrolling everyone in his path. He is very soon going to make Snyder look like a choir boy. I don't know which team is in worse shape..Bills or Sabres? Being a Buffalo sports fan sucks.

Pegula still doesn't get it. Can't wait to hear of the Sabres hirings. The Pegula(s) needs to be schooled by the best executives in the NFL. I'm not sure who is advising him, but they SUCK AT IT!
