My question in the first post has been answered. I thought as OP, I could close the thread, but that must have changed at some point over the years. This thread has gone downhill. Mods...feel free to close.

Damn...the Bills War Room had to be on pins and needles for the last couple of weeks. And over the weeks leading into the draft, McDermott’s growing influence became obvious to all inside the building. The new coach was empowered to pull prospects off the board who didn’t fit the character parameters he was looking for. With a GM left in limbo, it was increasingly the coach’s show. And while McDermott wasn’t running the draft, nothing was happening without his O.K.

If Yates is not the #2, I would expect they scan the waiver wire come August looking for a vet backup, just in case the season goes well. If so, they would want a proven vet in case TT goes down. The only exception would be if Peterman just knocked their socks off in training camp and the preseason games.

If you are replying to my OP, I wasn't implying that he has anything to do with day to day football operations. Seems so odd, but based on your post, obviously does happen. Whether or not any of them are successful in their roles, who knows.

If Peterman shows anything, no way he is going to the PS. As far as Cardale goes, if he gets "poached", then so be it. IMO he was nothing more than a longshot to even be a career backup. Time may prove me wrong.

That can't be. I'm told that this is the new way of doing things. No more... Owner>>>GM>>>Head Coach with defined roles. Just a bunch of dotted lines all over an org chart, so whenever something goes wrong, everyone blames everyone else.

If I was a betting man, come opening week, TT is your starter, TJ is the backup, Peterman is your 3rd, and Cardale goes to the practice squad. I don't even know where this other QB came from, but my guess is, he never even see training camp...not enough work to go around for 5 QB's.

It hurts even more if you are a fan of the Bills AND the Sabres.

Thanks for the clarification. Still seems like a lot of responsibility for one person, but I guess without knowing what his day to day tasks are or how many hours he spends a week in each role, my question will remain unanswered.

Other than reporting to the same owner, don't they have two completely separate staffs from administration to finance to operations?

Does the President of a major league franchise do so little, that he can hold that role for two teams? 20-25 hours per week for each team?

Was Kim interviewed afterwards? Maybe I missed it. Just curious because you rarely hear from her.

I hate Pegula and his flat organization. So when there is a disagreement between the GM and the HC, Pegula is the tiebreaker? Does anyone really want this as the answer? Dysfunction at its finest.

There were more than a few incoherent answers. Some answers ended mid-sentence. Nothing but ammo for those covering the PC. I said this earlier in the week...listening to Terry is the equivalent of not being able to look away from the horrible car wreck.

I'm not just talking about the top guys. The lists I looked at were 200-300 players deep, and I only found a few of the UDFA's the Bills signed, on them.
