Source: Major Bills news coming next week
LabattBlue replied to SaviorPeterman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wasn't DD's big news going to happen on 2/1, and then he was going to disappear forever? LOL -
Donald Jones to exit 'John Murphy Show'
LabattBlue replied to ricojes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jones couldn't put two coherent sentences together on that show if his life depended on it. Very often, he'd just rehash what was said minutes prior. I didn't know he was going back and forth and didn't even live here in WNY. Gone and forgotten. -
Eric Wood has career-ending neck injury; will retire
LabattBlue replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Best of luck to Wood in his post-football life. To the people with the wild speculations before the player was revealed...what the heck is wrong with you people...especially the poster who speculated an attempted suicide. -
Physical abilities to play QB aren't part of the criteria? Sounds like a solid plan. LOL The good news...he will be great in the community.

At Last, a GM Who Values Comp Picks
LabattBlue replied to Thurman#1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I really think this comp pick thing is overblown. If you have a very good team, you lose a couple of prize F/A and are able to backfill from within instead of having to sign someone else's pricey F/A, great you get a comp pick or two. If you are a bad to mediocre team(the Bills), and you lose a key F/A or two, you have to do what you can to make the team better...even it means you lose out on a precious extra 6th round pick. -
Tyrod could probably be a very good CFL starting QB for the next 7-8 years...if he chose that route. That being said, he'd make a lot more money being even an NFL #2 for the next 10 years, holding the clipboard and making a few token appearances per year.

Just a wild guess...I think his first name was Johnny. I searched the member list... Johnny Coli??

Great sentiments...except now I'm going to wake up in the middle of the night and try and remember this posters name....and his posts in the AI threads were great!

Jimmy Garoppolo is the Real Deal
LabattBlue replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Policy is closer to the truth than not. Garappolo and his agent have the 49ers between a rock and a hard place. Those end of season above average performances are going to cost the 49ers a LOT of money. -
I thought Wentz and Goff were two huge risks at the top of the 2016 draft. Who really has any clue who the next franchise QB(10+ year starter) out of Rosen, Darnold, Allen, Mayfield, Rudolph and all the sleepers will be? Not me. I will say this...it will cost a small fortune to move up to 1 or 2(no thanks). I will also say this...I don't know if he will have have any long term success, but Mayfield seems like a guy who would make things exciting on an otherwise dismal offensive Bills teams of recent years....on 2nd thought, I thought the same thing about Johnny Manziel.

Who should replace Gruden on MNF?
LabattBlue replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While Romo brings some good insights as an analyst, I want to punch my TV every time right prior to a snap, he says...HERE WE GO! -
I missed the first few years(unless at one point there was a crash and everyone’s “join date” changed, but this place has provided for a lot of good football discussion and also non-football discussion over the years... I am torn between two OT threads as my all-time favorite...homework vs. retatta. lol Happy 20th TSW! ?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE...make it happen. Right from the beginning, I've never cared for the "bills mafia" moniker. This 100%.

How high are you moving up to get Smith? It better at least be top 10, and maybe even top 5.

The MMQB: Dareus Says Marrone is a Changed Man
LabattBlue replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Marrone probably feels the same way about Dareus...as in $100 mil changed him from an all-pro to a waste of cap space. -
I will have to look closer next time I drive by. I thought they were still open.

There is a John & Mary's on Transit, just south of Genesee St. I think there is also one on Broadway in Alden, but it's been a while since I've been out that way.
