The Bills took a step back this year, and have a much tougher schedule next year. That being said, it is all about a good supporting cast for Allen, and can Beane strike gold in the draft or via the lower $$$ players in F/A.
I’m not saying they have to eliminate them completely, but the number of designed runs for Allen has to be scaled back, or his career will be shortened.
A mountain made out of a mole hill with all this talk about how great it was that Mahomes went looking for Allen. Don’t the two QB’s always meet after the game?
Just the media slobbering all over Mahomes much more than needed.
The regular season goal for 2022 and beyond is the #1 seed and home field advantage through the playoffs.
I don’t care that the two #1 seeds lost in the division round(because of the bye, blah blah blah), or the number of road teams winning in the playoffs recently.
To think if they didn’t have 4th quarter fails against Jax, Pats and/or Titans…😞
I disagree with one premise in this thread and others that have occurred since Sunday night. There was NO cakewalk to a SB championship. Cincinnati has been playing well down the stretch and either the Rams or 49ers would have been formidable SB opponents.
It is one thing if a Bills defender came within a fingertip away of breaking up the pass to Kelce, but to have him wide open and nothing more than a simple throw and catch from Mahomes is downright embarrassing. 😞
Being a position coach, and being someone to design an offense, and more importantly be a great play caller, are worlds apart. Maybe Hall has it in him, but your reasons for him being considered as OC leave a lot to be desired.
I would prefer a CB on Day 2, especially if they believe Tre will not be ready for the opener. I still believe IOL is our biggest need at #25. No way do I want a Day 1 or Day 2 pick used on DL. Been there done that. I guess I would also be okay with #25 being used on a LB(Edmunds replacement) or WR.
All that being said, until F/A takes place, it is hard to see how the draft will play out.
Don't forget Allen's cap hit goes up by 6 mil next year, and another 23 mil in 2023. This is on a team that was already close to the cap. It will be difficult to do much other than strike gold via the draft.
