  1. I was telling my friend as we closed out the fish this weekend, "weve had no QB for 10 years so weve had to get good everywhere else, now that our QB is playing even decent, we are actually a great team."

heres a breakdown of why we are a great team...

Dline- 3 first round picks, one first overall, the lowest drafted guy-the most productive of the 4! a(oh and 3 are probowlers)

Linebacker- we have other teams first or second round picks, and Bradham as a back up whose becoming better every week.(kiko=2nd rounder)

Secondary- (the area we focused on since jauron era) first round picks playing at CB and a free agent whose suddenly our best CB. Safety manned by our second round pick CB and searcy= solid

Running backs- CJ FJ nuff said.

WR- suddenly a strength of our team with young fast talented guys with hands and a free agent whose better than who he replaced. Long gone are the days of Roscoe parrish + Josh reed or Donald Jones +Brad smith pretending to be quality starting WR’s

Line- suddenly strong, RG is weak but a solid center and two bookend tackles? Its better than a lot of teams Olines in this league.

QB-playing efficient and smart, see Kaperstank for a what a red hot young QB can do to totally blow a lead and lose a game you were winning.

Like I said with a decent QB weve been primed for 2-3 years already to be a playoff team, we might just skip “making” the playoffs and actually do damage this year. Im calling it now! This isn’t your daddy Trent Edwards 5-1 team!

  2. all games have these same garbage stats rolled into them, or some will have a lot while some have almost every play count. in the end the stats till tell you a lot depending on what you are looking for and how you read them, like if the bills were good offensive team last year passing vs running or our pass defense vs run defense, or if SJ was ever a deep threat or was Evans a better all around WR than moulds etc....

  3. I say that jauron was the emperor, secretly making us lose as he stood on the sideline laughing inside his own head.

Rob Johnson was a soon to be evil aniken wile flutie was a shorter Kenobi

Jar jar would have to be trent Edwards though, the most hated of Bills

Donte was more of a C 3PO all talk, little action

Hadto add one more, SJ as lando calrisian...am I right?

  4. I don't get this post at all. fitz had way better numbers than EJ last year, but hes not a starter now?, even though he is...and clowney sucks after a quarter....and manziel would have been a better pick? I don't know if your aware but preseason doest count or mean that much, you can just ignore years of producton or measurables becauseof a quarter of practice football.

  5. Stevie was always ready to kick butt and chew bubble gum. And he was always out of bubble gum.

I did like the T-Shirt thing after touchdown catches. Especially since it was after a "Touchdown!"

hehe i remember this guy named Trent that would "throw the ball" then it would get caught by the other team, yuk yuk, but it was ok because he was playing a game called "Football!"

yup. Stevie would have too if we didn't pick up TO and make him sit the bench for 2 years.

ummm one year, TO wasnt here when SJ sat out as rookie, as most 7th rounders do, too bad though we could have seen a few more penalties involving t shirts, at least 1 more injured groin and of course a game losing drop, the one thing TO wasnt good at, He actually caught some game winners when he wasnt loafing around.
  6. Andre has done a lot. he gave profits to charities on his barbecue sauce and put in on the line for the team when he was here.

so when he came back too early in a 95 playoff game so he could show the other teams he was ok during his contract year, was that laying it on the line? He contributed to us losing that game, not to mention fumbling about 9 times in 94, not running his routes in 96 for todd collins. throwing his helmet and helping us lose the 98 playoff game. then pouting like a baby about his role in 99 when moulds and price were outplaying him and he was lucky to have made the team. Was that him "laying it on the line"????

Reed was good until about 93 but then his cry baby attitude and selfishness grew larger than his contributions to the Bills, He was definitely the SJ of the 90's Bills only his good and bad eras both lasted twice as long.

it would have helped if you had not used Reeds weird looking air helmet with the long white chin straps in this pic, nice pot though, i like white now even though i liked red at first. i still wish they would do the long red sox with the current uni. i do it in madden and it looks great. i also hate blue pants and love all white.
  8. so the thread could have gone like this...

we lost byrd last season and only have 3 guys in place to take his spot

dareus got arrested 2 months ago but will still play

    kiko got injured.

so kiko was worth 20 pts a game??? the new rookie cant tackle or something?

  9. He gets a lot of credit but IMO he is clearly the Bills best player. In addition, he is one of the top 3 4-3 DE in football (with Hardy & Quinn). I think Mario is the best football player that the Bills have had since the glory years.

wow the guy who wont play the run or even get his jersey dirty....and sucked through 2012???? He's clearly overated...not even a good player in half of the games
  10. I guess Sammy. The Bills traded a proven commodity in Stevie to go all in with him and he obviously hasn't done anything yet. I think like most posters it's not like I'm not a fan or don't believe in the player, just overrated vs nfl results.

i think the trade up to number four and his college stats and measurables outwiegh what sj did in the nfl alone...which is why sj was a measly seventh rounder....and by "proven" you mean proven to be average if not undependable?
  11. i was seeing a pic of Reed and remembered how in his last year how loaded at WR we were. With Reed as a #2 and Moulds as the 1, we had a great 3 in Kevin williams, and our fourth was none other than the emerging peerless price. How great it was to have 4 great players! When Reed left we still had talent on the team and peerless eventually fetched us a #1 pick when he left to boot.

Contrast this to the crap that was left behind when Lee evans was unfairly dumped. We had SJ and that was it.

Nice... we were forced to overpay a 7th rounder since we had no one else around. He was the fastest of a slow group of nobodies. Compare that to today when we have another Group of 4 highly talented players and I now know why Im so giddy for 2014, we havent had a group like this in 15 years!!!! reminds me of something else missing for that much time....hmmmmm?

    1999 -------------------------------------------- 2010

Moulds (3x all-pro) -------------------------------SJ (no pro bowls but 2010 Vizio Top Value Performer) yippie!

Reed (Hof) ------------------------------------- David Nelson (slow)

Kevin Williams (sure handed) -----------------Donald Jones (couldnt catch)

Peerless price (clutch, fast) ---------------------Brad Smith (not a WR)

    1999 ----------------------------------- 2014

    Moulds ---------------------------------Watkins

    Reed ----------------------------------Williams

    Kevin Williams ---------------------- Goodwin

    Peerless price ---------------------- Woods

  12. Then how do you explain McKelvins nearly fantastic year .

hey hey i like mckelvin too hes a great cb, but there are great plumbers and great ditch diggers too. Im still remembering his fumble vs new england and how after he said hed "do it over again" if CJ got a wonderlic 10 and mckelvin a 13 that explains alot. I wonder if they play chess together....and just sit down in front of the board.... staring at it...never moving.
  13. ill say this, Spiller showed me all i needed to see when he ran out of bounds on one of his usual sideways runs for a loss of 3, stopping the clock in a game we had a minute or 2 left in. He was always frustrating with his inability to pick the hole but that was just dumb. He moved to #2 on my dumbest bills list, right behind mckelvin. i hope hes gone in 2015 unless he is used soley as a 3rd down back but hed cost too much.

  14. He can be unstoppable when he gets the ball. The problem is that he's not getting the ball enough. That is one thing about this team that I just don't get. They say they're going to "give him the ball until he pukes" and then don't. I know he was dinged up at times, but even when he appeared to be healthy, they just weren't giving him the football. Maybe this years contract year will be a motivator. I just don't know.

did you mean to post this after the 2012 season?
  15.

Your crusade sucks a million times worse.

    In 2010,11,The guy had 3,000 yards and 23 Td's.

49ers will crush it with him in the fold.

Wow three years of losing with three years of clutch drops and three years of low ypc. Its not a crusade. It was facts. When this team got a few decent receivers last year the real Sj showed up. A wr who doesn't condition himself well. Had key drops. Added in fumbles and didn't even get his glorious 1000 yards which never mattered anyway...because no one felt he was worth throwing the ball to every play like fitz did. Wanna bet he wont be in the top 3 in receiving yards in SF this year...? Wanna bet he doesn't get the almighty 1000 also? If he's as good as you think you should take that bet here and now.
