  1. Not sure if you were directing this at me, the OP, or just ranting in general, but I'm a Generation X-er, not a millennial. I've seen 10 million photographs or pieces of film from the Rockpile era, and we are always wearing variations of the standing buffalo, red/white/blue type uniforms. I never knew in that first 1960 season--and only in that season--did we wear these Detroit Lion specials. The rumor that Ralph allegedly bought these on the cheap from Detroit is hilarious. Seems highly likely to me.
  2. I'm no Ravens fan, but if you think they are a 6 win team at best, how many do you think we will win?
  3. The guy in the article didn't just have sex with a beaver. He had sex with a wounded, dying beaver that had been previously hit by a car. Are you F-ing kidding me?
  4. It's been interesting to watch this story. Players never turn against fellow players when one of them is trying to get more $$$. But this time, they did!
  5. Thanks. I don't think that was scripted. Garrett seems like a really good guy, as does Orchard. I actually kind of grew to like the whole bunch that they focused on. Tough episode to see everyone getting the ax.
  6. I think the best and fairest item to fill in the blank with is "address concerns on the offensive line." Beane decide to make do with what as on hand and slap a band aid on the situation rather than go about finding even 1 solid replacement for the losses. It could really bite us in the ass and be a major knock against Beane down the road. Will be interesting to see how the line does.
  7. One factor to consider is the Pats actually have a good QB. Our "bad" WRs have a way of becoming "good" elsewhere.
  8. It would be much more stylish to do that in week 2. Of course, if he does do that, we will hear about it in every single game he plays for the rest of his career.
  9. Looking on the bright side: Nate doesn't have to do a hell of a lot to be an improvement over Tyrod. 2 years ago at start of 2016 season, we also played GAME 1 in Baltimore. Tyrod the Terrible went 15/22 for 111 yards. We lost 13-7 and our only TD came from a LeSean McCoy 1 yard TD run.
  10. Yards: 200-225 TDs: 1 INTs: 2 Sacks: 5 Fumbles: 1
  11. Yep. Never saw those uniforms before. Totally different look for the team.
  12. "Steady" is what you call your quarterback when you can't accurately use better adjectives, like "good."
  13. It's basically another time killing thread about nothing, effectively functioning as filler until we play our first game and actually have topics to discuss.
  14. The OP is putting too much value on "mentoring" by a veteran QB. That stuff doesn't matter and we are not missing anything by not having the veteran mentor on the team. But to the larger point, of course the organization's collective ego is tied to Peterman. Outside of that little bubble, no one in the NFL has Nate Peterman on their radar. Nate will get more than a fair shot in Buffalo, and probably no shot anywhere else.
  15. Hey cool! I got into fountain pens myself about 2 years ago. Just got a Sailor professional gear demonstrator in the mail a couple of weeks ago actually. Also ordered about 50 little ink sample bottles. What's your favorite pen? Favorite ink? I have a ton of interests and visit forums for most of them. Guitar building, guitar playing, scale model making (a ton of those alone), F1 motor racing forums, Lego forums, replica prop making forum, leather working forums, wooden model ship making forums, it goes on and on.
  16. I never knew until just now that the very first 1960 Bills uniform was Honolulu blue, silver, and white. Kind of a Detroit Lions look to it. What do you think? I prefer the red/white/blue look myself.
  17. I don't think Murphy should be on the list if we are taking about unexpected good performances. I think Murphy will have a great year and most expect it!
  18. Measure twice, cut once. Leave the gun, take the cannoli.
  19. You've changed Joe Sixpack! I thought you were dedicated to keeping it real and were pretty anti-kool aid krowd. What happened?!
  20. Unlike a lot of the people responding to your post, I understand what you are getting at. But if we are going to make the playoffs this year, it's because either Peterman, Allen, or BOTH prove to be pretty good, effective QBs....which greatly diminishes the value of that first overall pick. If you aren't going to need or get a "sure thing" QB with the 1st overall pick, it's value is less than a playoff berth.
