  1. The most sacked NFL QB in a season is David Carr. Sacked 76 times in 2002. Will Josh Allen take that record from Carr this season?! The fact that Groy is terrible doesn't make Wood better. He was not as good as his reputation suggested IMO.
  2. Without a QB, we have nothing. Don't be afraid to take another one next year if Allen's progress goes sideways. Especially if we draft first overall. [YES, I know the Bills will not do this, guaranteed; doesn't mean that is the right decision though]
  3. Where are the 2 hot babes? I don't see any.
  4. Yep! A mere E Class coupe? Not slammed with 20" wheels? No way. Texas plates too. Still pretty funny.
  5. Are you suggesting the team's defensive play in the second half is directly linked to, or was caused by, Davis' quitting at halftime? You aren't suggesting that...are you?
  6. I have a good friend who spent $85,000 on a home theatre in the basement of her house, like maybe 10 years ago. Complete with gigantic TV screen (like 8 feet wide maybe? or more?) and a couple rows of reclining seats, etc. At the time it was the most perfect home set up you could imagine! Now she curses it and makes jokes about it b/c the technology is all dated and the picture quality is rather low compared to the latest stuff. My point: ask yourself how much $ you want to sink into technology that will be soon outdated and which has almost no resale value.
  7. You'd be all over that situation too, especially if it came from our Twin City, Cleveland. Don't pretend you wouldn't be. Get over it.
  8. You don't say? His accuracy is quite poor. The honeymoon with him is still alive. It will take time for most users here to tune into what he is actually doing on the field and not give him the benefit of the doubt or see only what they want to see. At some point, he's going to have to progress. Let's hope he does. It was only his first full, real game, after all. I am very eager to see what he is doing, say, in week 13 this year.
  9. The workforce McBeane has assembled this year has caused me a lot of grotesque head harm as well.
  10. The fun part is that many of the know it alls who dominate this forum with their wisdom were fairly strong supporters of Whaley during his time as GM here, often citing, for example, his shrewd ability to find replacement talent around the league and patch holes. Now that he is gone and his mistakes are being magnified, the same people dismiss Whaley as a part of the Bills misguided past.
  11. Not what I suggested at all, !@#$. The Cliff's notes version for the slow kids in class, and users named MAJBobby: Someone like Romo around Allen all the time would be a benefit. There is no one like that around Allen right now. We should get someone like that.
  12. If Beane thought a low quality journeyman with very limited game experience was going to function as a good mentor, he needs to think again. The guy who I wish was around practice every day, putting his arm over Josh's shoulder, and teaching him about the game is Tony Romo. Ironically, Romo will be doing our game on Sunday against the Vikings. Romo has a lot of experience, was a skilled QB, and most importantly, he has shown that he is a very good communicator who gets it. He also did not play in the game 30 years ago. His experience is still very fresh and relevant. The Bills need a guy like that hanging around Josh all the time. The lack of that sort of voice in Josh's ear is a clear handicap in my opinion. There is no one around at the moment who can fill that role, including the QB coach.
  13. Watching all his throws one on top of the other, you appreciate just how wild and unpredictable his accuracy is. It is all over the place. I thought the best ball he threw all game was the fairly long pass to Charles Clay on the Chargers 20 yard line. Clay was wide open by at least 5 yards and standing still when Allen threw the ball, and he threw a strike. That is the type of wide open, standing receiver Tyrod would throw to as well. His big pass to Zay Jones (that Jones bobbled and almost dropped) was under thrown by 10 yards. It was so badly thrown that the DB was out of position by the time the ball arrived and on top of it, the DB decided to stop playing defense for a while. Very strange play. If that throw is repeated 9 more times, it is probably intercepted 5 times. Even on short dump offs, ball placement is just awkward enough to make the receiver work to catch the ball and often have to be put off stride or off balance in order to make the catch. A few throws featured such awkward (but perhaps catchable) ball placement that the receiver in fact did not catch the ball. Folks around here are not seeing what is on the field yet. That is because we are desperate for a Messiah, we know we gave up a lot of value to get Josh, and we can see he is big and has a strong arm. He looks the part of a real QB. Eventually, his accuracy issues, inability to read defenses, hesitation in throwing, and unwillingness to throw receivers open or anticipate open receivers before they are open will catch up to him. It took a while for most folks here to want to replace Tyrod too. Josh needs to greatly improve the weaknesses in his game, and the narrative that he had already addressed them with improved footwork is not accurate IMO.
  14. I think for most fans, expectations were so low that the reality of this team being hot garbage doesn't hurt. We have pretty much all concluded this is a lost, non-playoff year, by Week 2. The theory is that this is for the long term good of the team, so it is OK. That remains to be seen. If Allen doesn't come around, this is just a good old fashioned Bills disaster.
  15. For some reason, most folks who participate here will attack anything that threatens the Bills, or their coach, or their owner, or their players. They are like a bunch of vicious she-wolves, protecting their offspring, only Bills fans. So I guess vicious she-fans. Beware the she-fans!
  16. Correlation does not imply causation. Not with a sample size this small. Does a certain contingent of players around the league view Buffalo, NY as a Siberian gulag, the last place in the league they would want to end up? Probably! Is that ever going to change? Probably not. Is that at play with Davis and Boldin? I don't know.
  17. Actually, he made the same mistakes he is known for making, and which have nothing to do with being a rookie in the NFL. Lack of anticipation, not throwing receivers open, very inconsistent accuracy, missing wide open receivers, etc. If his limitations were limited to learning experiences or rookie mistakes, we'd be in great shape.
  18. The real tragedy here is that Bills fan who had always loved and followed Vontae Davis' career. He was so excited that we finally signed his man, and was wearing that newly purchased #22 jersey, anxiously waiting for Vontae to come out of that tunnel to start the second half of the game. An appearance that was not to be made.
  19. That would be great. But who would replace him? A signing from another team's practice squad?
  20. Yes it will! This will be remembered and repeated many times in years ahead. It is extremely Billsy. It is off-the-charts Billsy.
