  1. Confucius say: "Only fool buy Chevy when Toyota equivalent is available."
  2. Agree, but we should not be looking for a stop-gap plug and play workaround for this season. All thoughts should be on building a foundation for the future. I'd rather have picks to be honest.
  3. That is the entire story about him, and has been for a long time. He has never shown an ability to be successful at the NFL level and he does not show signs of it now either. Will that change? McBeane's jobs hang in the balance.
  4. The key to Brees' success has obviously been his big, prototypical size and that cannon for an arm. Oh wait.
  5. So much for the notion that McCoy has no trade value! We should ABSOLUTELY do this for a 3rd round pick or better. Let's see how tough a negotiator Beane is.
  6. What I meant was that not reading plays at the line is what Allen has been doing all along, and it's why scouts call him "raw" and "not ready" and "further behind other QBs in the draft class." Of course you can see his college weaknesses and project them on the NFL He doesn't process the game anywhere near the same level as, for example, Josh Rosen or Darnold, and it's why he was labeled a project, most scouts had him as a 3rd round project, and why I was pissed off the moment they announced we took Allen. You can play the "it's early" game now, and for a while to come. Eventually you'll see he doesn't have it. Hang in there.
  7. I thought it was pretty straight forward; the key is Allen should have known Shady would take a defender with him to the right side of the ball. That leaves a mis-match on the left side of the ball, and that becomes the weak link in the protection. Which is exactly how the play unfolded. But Allen doesn't look left at the most vulnerable area, b/c he's not reading the defense or thinking through the game of football on this level. This is nothing new for him and one of his longstanding weaknesses. This is what Tom Brady called, a few years ago, a "wasted play" meaning the play was over before it began because the QB didn't see what was about to happen. The good/great QBs like Brady don't have wasted plays, or hardly any, b/c they have a very high football IQ and "see" what's going to happen pre-snap and adjust accordingly. Remember, the QB has a huge advantage in that he knows what the offense is going to do and he has the ability to alter the play before it happens! The D is just reacting to what unfolds in front of them.
  8. Well that was absolutely terrible, but I'd shag the chick on the left rotten. She reminds me of Gogo Yubari from Kill Bill, and I have a big thing for Gogo Yubari.
  9. Wait a minute! What? Give us a lot more detail please! I'm absolutely enthralled and waiting for more info.
  10. I honestly think the most pain I have ever felt and one of the worst types of pain you can feel, is an internal pressure on your organs. Like severe gas pains/cramps or being severely constipated if you ever have been. That type of thing hurts a hell of a lot more than taking deep cuts with stitches, breaking bones, or other things that sound more dramatic.
  11. I think the average sports fan in WNY would support an NBA team. The region can't economically support a new major league sports franchise though, and will never get another one again. So it's kind of a moot point.
  12. Stop it! Our record is going to be horrible this year and it isn't because we got a tough schedule. That doesn't help, but bottom 3 talent is probably going to finish bottom 3. Get used to it.
  13. The guys currently running things at OBD asked themselves which QB should start Week 1 in order to give us the best chance to win, and decided the answer was Nathan Peterman! What makes anyone think they have a clue about assessing QB talent?
  14. Ah, the good old Kay Stephenson/Hank Bullough era! Total Buffalo Bills garbage at its finest. Jesus Christ this franchise has been horrible.
  15. They do seem to be tanking, but they think they already have their QB. Tanking in the NFL without the intention of taking a top QB prospect doesn't make sense to me. Perhaps they think they can ransom the pick to the highest bidder for some ridiculous price (lots of high picks) which can then be translated into lots of new contributing players on the field in a single offseason. I don't really know what they are up to anymore.
  16. Based on what we've seen through four games, I believe the official game plan is to surround Allen with absolutely nothing, throw him to the wolves, and hope he doesn't get killed.
  17. Nouns have gender. Humans have sexes. Should have been a sex reveal party, and I still would not have realized what the term meant!
  18. We all got to know John Dorsey in Cleveland a little bit on Hard Knocks this year. He comes across as extremely unimpressive. Almost on the same level as his HC.
  19. What if they are not particularly interested in winning this season at all? Most of their decisions/actions/inactions in the off-season would suggest, strongly, that they are NOT interested in winning this year. I'm sure they think Allen is their guy and they are done QB shopping. That is probably a mistake, but that's how they are going to view the situation. So presumably their plan is to finish bottom 3, and trade down to the highest bidder, and really rebuild the core of the team with a bunch of acquired strong draft selections. They are either trying to do that, or they really suck. I honestly don't know which it is, yet.
  20. He had a really off day, but he's injured. He made a bad throw on one play and the camera zoomed in on his face for like 8 seconds after the play ended. He was just laughing/smiling the entire time, as if to say "I can't believe I just threw that pass that poorly." The difference, of course, is that the jury is not out on Rodgers. We know his quality.
