  1. Way overrated: Nate Odomes. Way underrated as a WR (not special teams) : Steve Tasker
  2. I agree. I'm afraid the Bills would just cut this FA RT anyway. Guys like this waft in and out of training camps all the time.
  3. Sorry to hear of Sam's death. His music is epic especially when combined with the slow-mo film highlights. NFL films and this music make a great combo!
  4. Quint would get a big bottle of cheap booze and some women and party all night!
  5. Lesean makes about $21,918 per day, every day of the year. "Expensive" and "affordable" are relative terms.
  6. New. Robust. Analytics Department. This is the year things change. "Continuity. At least it's better than incontinence." "Winning is sooo 20 minutes ago."
  7. I just watched the video and I have to say, that looks like a fine establishment Shady was hanging out in.
  8. My memory of that team is how powerful the defense was. I seem to recall watching regular season games where opposing offenses simply could not move the ball at all, and the expectation going into almost every play was "what is going to blow up and go wrong for the offense this time?" You were expecting a tackle for a loss, a sack, a forced fumble, an interception, a pick six...they were overwhelming.
  9. He seems to be programmed for self-destruction. We'll see if he makes it long enough to do something about it.
  10. Crime, lack of education, economic depression. That sort of thing.
  11. This video is proof that the end times are drawing nigh.
  12. I like AW a lot, but then again, Rambo is much better with a compound bow and has a really high pain threshold.
  13. Carolina is like a train flying down the tracks right now. They'll win. The question is how bad will the show be. I just hope it is a competitive game and not over at the half.
  14. I'd be shocked if he's on the team next year. Good luck in Rio.
  15. I am already at peace with the idea that NE will go back to the Superbowl yet again. If Denver can do something about it, I'll be pleasantly surprise. Our real hope is the NFC team; hopefully they can take down NE.
  16. 1) The Bills will finally have a robust analytics department 2) Their record will be 9-7 3) The team will try to break their streak of bad luck by changing the uniform color scheme to black, white, and red, and the new Buffalo logo on the helmet will strangely resemble a goat head.
  17. Did anyone notice John Clayton's comments on Marrone 1 or 2 airings ago on GR-55? He was asked about Marrone and he indicated that the then-reported interest around the league in Marrone was "real" and that he really thought this was his time to be hired as a head coach. I listen to Clayton every week on GR-55. He talks a thousand miles an hour but often says little, and is often flat out wrong in his "insider take" on NFL current events. He was also clearly suggesting that Whaley would be fired a few shows ago too, which we now know is just another flat out wrong take.
  18. Elway was a tough and super competitive guy in that mold. Heck, Dan Marino was tough too. He hated to be hit but I don't exactly remember him as being frail.
  19. My gut tells me NE will win easily. The Phoenix/Carolina game should be good but I'll say Carolina wins. They came out against Seattle and looked unbeatable right from the beginning. The QB play in the NFC Championship game goes in Carolina's favor.
  20. That's a good list! I'm right there with all those choices. I really hated Shula at the time, but so much time has passed since that era I almost forgot about him! I might add Jerry Glanville, only because I just hated the guy for the sake of it!
  21. Interesting to hear Jim Kelly speak of Ted's philosophy being: 1) Keep it simple and never confuse anyone on the offense 2) Keep the playbook short and sweet with multiple looks stemming from a few core plays Interesting timing as we come off a disappointing defensive season where the opposite seemed to be the case. Too confusing, too much complexity in Ryan's "hybrid" system, too much going on. Strip it down and let the athleticism on the field take over. Sounds like Rex intends to do just that next season.
  22. You left off one critical establishment from your list of fine establishments on Sheridan. RED BARN. Remember that one?
  23. Yes. Used to get a bag of glazed doughnut holes from them as a kid, before the Dunkin' Munchkin was invented, I think.
