  1. It's early still, but yes, so far so good! Would like to see steady development/progression, but there is already much more to work with than EJ ever showed.
  2. Perhaps we can shop-vac the field before the game starts. Also, bubble wrap suits for all Bills players. My fear of more injuries is at DEFCON 1 now.
  3. Collisions like this can produce some bad injuries b/c the players obviously never saw each other. No time to brace for impact. Effective immediately: all the top players must practice clad in a suit made entirely of bubble wrap.
  4. I'd be in favor of them at least missing the first 2 games, and then they can pretend the pre-season is only 2 games long, like it should be. Then give them a little taste of game time in the final 2 or something and call it good. Both of those guys can turn the light switch on and go when the real season starts.
  5. NFL Network's TV schedule is showing the replay of this game on Sunday morning at 7:30am. This is perfect. Go out and have fun Saturday night, maybe try to avoid the news (or not...it's pre-season after all), sleep in, DVR the game, and fast forward through all pre-game BS (if any), commercials, etc. This is how I watch most football now, as the commercials and interruptions during NFL games make them borderline unwatchable.
  6. Terry was always going to judge the performance of the team and front office only as of his tenure as owner. It's just as he did with the Sabres. So we roll into Year 2 with Rex and see where we go.
  7. Not making your draft picks count via conversion into regular players on the field is the hallmark of a bad franchise. Historically with us, it's been because of incompetent management. This time around it's slightly different.
  8. I am not sure these comments are interpreting Sullivan's tweet correctly. His message is effectively positive in that he is saying the loss of Ragland is not as big a deal as many are making it out to be, and the team should be able to recover from the loss better than many think. This agrees completely with many posters in this thread who have said they were down on Ragland as only a 2 down player with poor coverage skills. Others didn't like the draft pick at all. Others have said it's a team game, and the entire D unit needs to play well, not just 1 guy. So how is Sullivan the bad guy here or saying anything many have not already said in various forms?
  9. I have it on good authority that HARDWORK is in fact the guy talking to "Jay" in this video.
  10. Wow you really come across as an amateur who doesn't know much about football with that statement. You would never, ever, hear a professional involved in the game, like say, a General Manager, make such a statement about football. Geez.
  11. Quick! Someone get the Bills training staff up to Foxborough! If our trainers get their hands on Edelman now, he's guaranteed to miss the entire season!
  12. BREAKING NEWS: A six member council of the supreme and general inquisition has been established to include Bucky Gleason, Mike Schopp, The Bulldog, and to be led by Grand Inquisitor Jerry Sullivan. The accused parties are said to include the entire Bills training staff, led by head of strength and conditioning Eric Ciano, head coach Rex Ryan, general manager Doug Whaley, and owners Terry and Kim Pegula. The competency of the current training staff, extent of crimes against humanity committed at One Bills Drive, and proper punishment, if any, are the issues to be explored. Maximum penalties may include burning at the stake. The council will convene today at 5:00pm at One Bills Drive. Critics of current Bills training protocol and supporters of widespread change among the training staff are encouraged to attend. In anticipation of a large turnout, early arrival is encouraged. "It's not too early to staaaaat shaaapening yaaaah pitchfaaaks and lighting yaaaah taaaaches," commented Grand Inquisitor Sullivan, when asked about the threat of violence at the inquisition. Further details will be posted as they become available.
  13. Are you suggesting a 31 page thread about, mostly, nothing, is "impressive?" This site is good for at least 4 to 5 times that length while keeping the probative value of the commentary and qualitative editorial comment of the thread close to zero. You must be kind of new around here, despite your post count.
  14. I think it would be cool to have a team rooster as a mascot, and then we could ditch the stupid charging bison logo on the helmet in favor of a black rooster like this. Looks cool.
  15. And let's not forget about 1. The loneliest number. Prone to sociopathic outbursts.
  16. No way would he fit under there. PS: Nice Walking Dead reference though.
  17. Sadly, you can replace "Cleveland" with "Buffalo" and every word applies, from the perspective of the other NFL teams/fan bases. RGIII is finished and has been so for quite some time.
  18. I have consulted the Magic 8 Ball, asking if Ragland's injury is bad. The answer: Outlook not so good.
  19. An "inconclusive" MRI has to be at least somewhat of a good thing. I mean, if his knee was destroyed they'd probably see that conclusively.
  20. ...but not probable. This was funny. I think some iteration close to this is how things are going to play out. I study the schedule and just don't see much other than 7-9, 8-8, or 9-7 at best.
  21. Not sure if this has been mentioned, but John Clayton was on with S&B the other day and he said No playoffs = Rex being fired, period. Of course, that's jut his opinion, and Clayton's ability to accurately gather info. and make accurate near term predictions regarding NFL happenings is not particularly good. And yet from Day 1, Pegula said the then-current Sabre regime headed by Darcy would be judged ONLY on its time under Pegula's ownership, so the analogy is relevant, despite your insinuation to the contrary.
