  1. I think it will be lower scoring than some think and very close. I think we stall in the red zone and have trouble producing touchdowns, but our kicker saves it for us. Bills 16, Ravens 13.
  2. I see you are a big hockey fan. People like to B word about WGR's air time apportionment between the Sabres and Bills. I listen to them all the time in the background and in my opinion, they do a fine job of balancing things. They focus on Sabres when it's really relevant to do so, and the Bills when that is relevant to do so. Schopp and the Bulldog haven't talked about a hockey or Sabre related topic in so long, I can't remember when it would have been. It's been all Bills all the time for weeks. Lastly, for "Joe Six Pack" there are other Sabre/hockey fans saying the same thing, only in reference to the Bills. The usual refrain goes something like "Can you believe the mouth breathers are talking about that stupid football nonsense again?" Everyone has different interests. Try to relax a bit.
  3. The more I listen to John Murphy, the more I really miss Van. Murphy: "Taylor throws to the end zone and it issssss..........(one Mississippi).........(two Mississippi).......CAUGHT! NO! Dropped! Wait! Yes, Caught for the touchdown! Robert Woods! A 7 yard TD strike from Tyrod Taylor!" The guy is brutal.
  4. I just realized I've been sort of sub-conciously craving pizza all day long...b/c of this thread. I could kill for a Ted's foot long with everything on it, Anderson's beef on a kaiser roll with extra horseradish, and a chocolate/vanilla twist with sprinkles for dessert. And then a DiPaolo's large pizza with cheese and sausage!
  5. I can't believe I didn't realize this earlier. The word "Bills" is comprised of 5 letters. The 5th book of the Bible is Deuteronomy. One of the key Bills to success on Sunday is Stephon Gilmore, number 24. 20 and 4. Chapter 20, verse 4 of Deuteronomy states: "For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.” That's why we have a real chance to win on Sunday!
  6. Reporter: "Richie, what is the mood in the locker room heading into Week 1? What are the team's goals?" R.I.: "You know, I'd say the general mood is one of cautious optimism tempered with a dose of pragmatic realism. I think most of us are just trying to avoid being mathematically eliminated from the playoffs by Thanksgiving." Doesn't have the same ring as "Playoffs or bust baby!!!!"
  7. Sure, why not. As long as I get to see the playoff game(s).
  8. I'd take "double digit victories" coupled with "and we'll see what happens then"
  9. That's a bit...ambitious.
  10. Ok, I say we have a real chance to win on Sunday, and in exciting style too, b/c I won't be able to see the game. Look for a historically good performance.
  11. Ladies and gentlemen, Elvis has just left the building.
  12. Wait. Is this a thread about Yolo getting pizza in the mail from an anonymous benefactor, or this is an open invitation for others to come up with the own reasons why we have a real chance to win on Sunday?
  13. A doctor's opinion is not exactly dicta when you have a statute stating X. Anyway, enough of this. I'm wasting my time.
  14. Yes of course, and that is a common use of "medical marijuana." How do you know he didn't? What is the fact pattern here?
  15. You're interpreting a level of specificity that is not stated in the legislation. The use of marijuana need not put a disease in remission; that's not really what medical marijuana is used for anyway; it is to treat symptoms like pain associated with various conditions. If there is NY law or other state law saying it is OK for Henderson to be treated with ingested marijuana pursuant to regulations x, y, and z, and that is what he did, this suspension won't stick. Keep in mind we don't know hardly anything about this at this time. But it is plausible that Henderson's use was legal, which is the relevant point.
  16. The NFL's internal Mickey Mouse law would be superseded by the real law of the land if it came to that. Then why is it specifically referenced in NY State legislation as a legitimate medical reason for using marijuana legally in the state? Talk out your ass much?
  17. New York State (assuming that is where the "infraction" went down) is a medical marijuana legal state for various conditions, one of which is inflammatory bowel disease. If this was all done on the up and up he should win the appeal. Sounds like the sentencing arm of the NFL didn't talk to the legal compliance arm prior to casting judgment. 19. New York Assembly Bill 6357 Approved: June 19, 2014 by Assembly, 117-13; June 20, 2014 by Senate, 49-10 Signed into law by Governor Andrew Cuomo on July 5, 2014 Effective: Upon Governor's signature The Department of Health had 18 months to establish regulations and register dispensing organizations. Marijuana will be taxed at 7%, to be paid by the dispensary. The law automatically expires after seven years. Approved Conditions: "You are potentially eligible for medical marijuana if you have been diagnosed with a specific severe, debilitating or life threatening condition that is accompanied by an associated or complicating condition. By law, those conditions are: cancer, HIV infection or AIDS, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury with spasticity, epilepsy, inflammatory bowel disease, neuropathy, and Huntington's disease. The associated or complicating conditions are cachexia or wasting syndrome, severe or chronic pain, severe nausea, seizures, or severe or persistent muscle spasms." Physicians must complete a four-hour New York State Department of Health (Department)-approved course and register with the Department to certify patients. Possession/Cultivation: 30-day supply Smoking is not a method approved by the bill. Update: On Nov. 11, 2015 Gov. Cuomo signed a bill to allow emergency access to medical marijuana, requiring state health officials to establish an expedited certification process for seriously ill patients and to register marijuana producers "as expeditiously as practicable." On Jan. 7, 2016, the medical marijuana program officially launched with eight dispensaries statewide.
  18. Picking Baltimore is logical. Should be a close game,we aren't fielding what could have been our best team and the game is in Baltimore. Should be very close and I think we have a good shot at winning.
  19. Yeah, I rather dislike Joe Buck, which is a shame, as I adored his dad.
  20. Aikman seems to have a lot of detractors when it comes to his broadcasting work. I have always found him to be quite good, but a little dry. Let's hope the tension grows between these two until there is some crazy outburst on live TV. That could be entertaining.
