  1. Yes it did! Actually the entire production approach of the CBS 2 part special was gimmicky and smacked of bad cable TV. The content was actually pretty good though.
  2. Wish Ragland was out there. This is where he would earn his paycheck.
  3. Not very far into the debate and it's already deteriorated into a shouting match! Hillary answers the first question with a canned, prepared speech... Trump is Trump. I thought it would be more entertaining in an embarrassing, train wreck kind of way, but this is hard to watch.
  4. Does anyone like "Sabaton" ??? The music isn't that great, but their choice of subject matter is fantastic. It's all military history stuff and any song dedicated to the 7th Panzer Division is OK in my book. The division blitzkrieged so quickly through France in 1940 no one could ever find it. By the time enemy forces arrived where the division was reported to be, it had already moved on. Hence the "ghost" moniker. I guess the Norwegian "Pagan" stuff is out then. Have him check out Rammstein. Their lyrics are mostly in German so unless he speaks that, he won't know what stye are saying..but it's not dark stuff anyway!
  5. You should continue to watch it. I agree that the audio interpretations were far fetched, which is why I didn't reference them up-thread. Even if you completely throw the 911 phone call out (for purposes of the background noise) there is a ton of good, new evidence in the CBS investigation pointing the finger at Burke. This was also mentioned in the recent CBS piece.
  6. You had to go there! You had to go there! Red Sox fan here.
  7. Not a given one way or the other. The odds would favor his contributions as being minimal however.
  8. Now now, Ben. A rather compelling argument can be made that the Patriots organization, including Belichick, not only consistently looks for the fine line between exploiting the rules to one's benefit and cheating, they actually don't have a problem crossing that line as a matter of institutional policy. Is this the sole factor in their success over the last 15 years or whatever? Of course not. Does it help? Absolutely.
  9. Yes. Rex is who Rex is. Yesterday was fun and a big upset, and the coaching staff did a really nice job. But Rex is who he is. And he won't be the HC of this team when the Bills next make the playoffs.
  10. The comment was from Pittsburgh/New England last year; Sept. 11, 2015. Mike Tomlin's headset was not working most of the game. http://www.bostonmagazine.com/news/blog/2015/09/11/patriots-steelers-headsets/ "Color analyst Cris Collinsworth somberly told everyone opposing coaches expect these kinds of shenanigans at Gillette Stadium, and respond with an apathetic, “whatever,” whenever problems occur."
  11. For an otherwise top QB, there is something off with him. We'll see if he ends up with a Superbowl ring. I say no.
  12. Sure. It's just more meathead crap coming from a cocky bastard who got his confidence back right after a decisive victory. He had calmed down with this crap previously, when we were the laughing stock of the league. Rex is world class at talking the talk. Not so good at walking the walk.
  13. Was it not Chris Collingsworth last year who said "I don't care who you are...everyone....I mean everyone...has had technical communications type problems at some point in Foxborough" ??? I think it was Chris. It was a color analyst throwing that comment out there during a game last year. I thought it was interesting to hear that. Anyone remember this? Right, and there is absolutely no room for technologically exploiting the system to one's advantage.
  14. Disagree insofar as we have seen plenty of proof in the past that this type of thing can and does fire up teams to play even harder than normal. Now, if you see the comments as harmless and nothing a Patriot player would care about....that's a different issue entirely. Rex is an ass and he'll be gone soon enough. That's really the point to be made here.
  15. If he actually plays, it couldn't hurt for Jerry Hughes to take one of his U.R. penalties early. Let him really light up J.G. and aim for that shoulder!
  16. We need more info. about the QBs and their health. If QB #4 plays and we don't win....
  17. You know, that is a good point. Brisket is said to have a tough character and I guess he needs to be handled gently.
  18. Brisket is currently having a rub applied. He's going to be cooked for 3 hours at 300 degrees or until fork tender. Jacoby Brissett has a torn ligament in his thumb. The question is how long he will be out and if he will need surgery on his thumb. The Patriots said they would take another look at where they stand with him tomorrow, on Monday the 26th. Don't think there has been any official word on the thumb as of yet. Garoppolo is said to be "making progress". Will be interesting to see if the Patriots sign a FA QB in the next few days, as that might suggest none of their current QBs can go.
  19. Next week's game is hugely important. They are all important, but some more so than others. If NE comes out with a wounded Garoppolo or QB #4, we have to win.
  20. Of course you do, Quint, but you're old school! You probably wanted Hughes to swallow Palmer whole. Little shakin', little tenderizin', and down he goes. I mean this is the NFL. This isn't like going down the pond chasin' bluegills and tommycods.
  21. Would have gone for it and wanted them to do it at the time. Worth remembering is that if you fail to score, the opposing team gets the ball on their own 1 foot line or whatever.
