  2. These are athletes too, also traveling as a team. Not looking like bums.
  3. No travel dress code, huh? They look like bums. Also, the smell of napalm in the morning.
  4. Eball is the most negative poster on the site; loves to attack fellow posters.
  5. I have it on good authority that the injury occurred in the off-season. The incident involved a dominatrix, a bull whip, and a bottle of gin. You connect the dots. Regarding the bungled surgery: apparently Russ Brandon convinced Pegula that he could do the surgery himself in order to keep news of the real cause of injury in-house and hushed. That didn't go well. Now Brandon is on the brink of launching a "dynamic and robust" brain and nerve tonic called Dr. Russ' Nervine. Soon to be on shelves in the pharmacy sections of all WNY Tops and Wegmans stores.
  6. You know, Woods always seemed like he was one cup and saucer short of a full place setting... And now Johnwalter has provided the confirmation I was looking for.
  7. Certain words tend to be used with others. "Gall" tends to be unmitigated, but not a lot of other stuff seems to be unmitigated. Reputations tend to be "tarnished".
  8. They already have a wall to keep the people of the north in the north.
  9. Former Bills guard, Jim Ritcher: Charles Francis Richter, co-developer of the Richter magnitude scale:
  10. That "Brawl" looked like a bunch of yelling and dancing, but not much throwing. Funny to see Kelly out there getting into it. He strikes me as another Evander Kane type. Has a nose for sniffing out trouble and then getting into it. And I'm a St. Joe's alum!
  11. Are we talking Tom Cruise/Church of Scientology crazy? Or just regular crazy?
  12. To the OP: I see what you mean about the price gouging. On a detailed analysis, I cannot see how the $200 Bills jersey differs from the $150 jersey available at Nike.com or NFLshop.com. They are made from same material, have the same "premium features" in the same areas, come in the same sizes, etc. The only thing I can see to distinguish the $200 jersey from the others is the blurb at the Bills website saying the only place you can buy the jersey they are selling is at the Bills store and Shopthebills.com. So they are saying their product is unique to their site/store, but they don't tell you how or what makes it unique. Honestly, I would buy one of the $150 jerseys from NFL.com and enjoy the $50 discount on what appears to be the same or virtually the same product. Still has the embroidered NFL crest on the neck, sewn on numbers and name, etc. A very nice jersey for your bachelor party. Only downside: I do not see #55 available at any source other than the Bills store. Maybe you can Watkins, Tyrod, or McCoy instead.
  13. I am by no means an expert on this, but I had a look at the jerseys. At the NFL.com website, the most expensive Bills jersey you can get is $149.99. At the Bills store website, it is $200 as you say. It has a lot of nice embroidery work on it, and the description says it matches the exact specifications of the jerseys actually worn by the players on the team. You can't do better than that. If you can pay the $200 and want the official, best jersey, get that one. If you want a cheaper one, have a look at the NFL store website for the Bills. They have a variety of cheaper options.
  14. This is nothing new. We will continue to get no respect until we earn it by winning on a sustained basis. We got tons of national praise when the team was great in the Superbowl years.
  15. This is great news, assuming he has gotten into shape. The "workout" will probably entail having him strip to his boxers and looking at his physique. It's like a boxer: you can tell in 10 seconds who's in fighting condition and who is not just by looking at their bodies.
  16. How I feel about it too. The only real "penalty" for bringing him back is needing to make the roster spot for him. If things go south, cut his ass again. No big whoop. But the potential upside is enormous. The kid showed real talent and was a sort of Jim Brown. Size, power, and speed.
  17. Technically, the loophole Karlos would slip through is the fact that Pegula owns two franchises in two different sports, but in the same city. Well every team in the league could have picked him up off waivers and decided "no thanks." I would imagine that might scare the kid straight. Also, we know NOTHING of the terms upon which Karlos left town. He flat out could have been told by someone that if he is serious about turning it around, he can prove it by doing it, and then he'll be brought back...or at least that would be a strong consideration by the team. I can totally see a conversation like that having taken place. Certainly possible.
  18. Clearly on like a MOFO. On a serious note, it might be unwise NOT to bring him back, if he is physically in condition to play. Imagine how grateful he will be and how hard he will work to amend for his sins... Look at what Incognito has done since coming back. These guys lose that 7 figure meal ticket...you give it back to them...and they are grateful. I would be too.
  19. Article summarizing the Jets/Bills MNF game from 1988: http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/1988-10-19/sports/8803010600_1_bills-coach-bills-defensive-end-fights Kelly threw for three touchdowns in the first half -- two in the first quarter -- as the Bills took an early 24-0 lead and turned sold-out Giants` Stadium into a sideshow that had the players watching fights, fires and a Great Pumpkin caper in the stands. ``I said, `Let`s forget about the game. Let`s tape the fights in the stands,``` Kelly said. ``I`ve never seen anything like it in my life.`` ``Put in Hershiser`` was one suggestion on a banner in the crowd of 70,218 that was out of control by the second half. Security men had too many fights to handle, even when the crowd dwindled to less than 10,000 by the end of the game. After a smoke bomb was extinguished in the upper deck, several other small fires were set. When security men confiscated an inflated pumpkin that was being batted around the stadium, the fans chanted: ``We want the pumpkin!`` They got it. Jets spokesman Frank Ramos said the club never had experienced such an unruly crowd. Fifteen fans were arrested for fighting and burning complimentary Jets caps. Beer sales were suspended earlier than usual Monday night when the fans began to get restless and fight with each other, said Paul Wolcott, a spokesman for the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority, which owns the stadium. ``Because the crowd was getting unruly we cut beer sales off at the beginning of the third quarter,`` he said, noting the usual cut-off time is the end of the third quarter.
