  1. Is that going to be the war cry in Buffalo sports forever? We really have no business with major league sports teams but we do thanks to Terry Pegula, so just shut up, be thankful, and who cares how bad they are! Do you set goals this low in your personal life too?
  2. Holy *****, that might be the most egregious run-on sentence I've ever read.
  3. That would be a pretty good definition for regression, not progression. Just how old are you, Oldmanfan?
  4. Get 'er done Beane! Wait, who is this guy?
  5. Your name is perfect. You're a troll! And if you think Josh Allen is on par with the other big named QBs in the draft, particularly Baker Mayfield.... Ah f it.
  6. We are witnessing the Bills' new franchise quarterback in the making: EJ Manuel! No, wait! We are witnessing the Bills' new franchise quarterback in the making: Josh Allen!
  7. He is about 37th on the list of problems the Bills have right now.
  8. Traditionally under Owner #1, that was quite true. With Owner #2, don't think so. We definitely spin our wheels and go nowhere, but I am not sure Pegula is focusing on profit as Wilson was. I do think he really wants to win and the cost of running a successful organization is a secondary concern. His problem isn't being cheap, it's being a clueless, very low information sports fan, and he is taking it upon himself to personally interview and hire the people who run his football team. That's a bad practice that needs to end. The Bills have focused on a running game and defense for so long, and completely neglected the QB position that I think a lot of Bills fans think that is where the sport of football is in 2018. As I watch good teams around the league, they seem to be playing a different game than the Bills. We are like 20 years behind the times, if not more, and our HC fits right into that problem. Someone who has Pegula's ear needs to sit down with him and steer him in the right direction and where the game is heading in the 21s century, b/c he doesn't seem to understand that himself. And on top of it, he's 67 years old! Too old!
  9. Why don't you voice your frustration at the Bills, and not BuffaloBaumer? He didn't create this mess. The Bills did. I find the many fans here who would enthusiastically stand and die on the myriad mistakes that comprise Bills Mountain to be really strange and confusing, though interesting. If that's true, his injury could be the greatest piece of dumb luck this organization has enjoyed in a long time. Especially if he is going to have that surgery and miss substantial time, if not the rest of the season. I don't know how long he might be out. If that's the case, and we are looking at a QB tandem of Nate and the Old Man, we may not win another game. That's perfect for drafting a QB. Let's just pray the kid in Oregon comes out.
  10. Not that long ago, something was posted here coming up with some type of ranking system for every single QB who had played in the NFL since like the year 2000 or something like that. As I recall, it was a pretty big number, like in the 300s. It included every QB who appeared in a game I think. I think Nate Peterman, at that time (not that long ago) was 3rd from dead last. He was ranked like 334 out of 337 or something. Does anyone remember what I'm talking about and can we dig up the data? I just think it would be funny to truly try to quantify just how bad he is. I'd like to repeat that Nate Peterman would not get a roster spot on any other team in the NFL, yet he remains our backup QB. That is astonishing.
  11. Suggesting that his abuse excuses his conduct is a legitimate idea. No one is suggesting his abuse justifies his actions. "Excuse" and "Justify" are important legal terms with two different meanings.
  12. Quarterback. It's the most important position on the team and it is far from clear that we have one. Until we know we have one, we need one.
  13. Yes, it is pretty crazy. What is crazier is that Nate Peterman might start instead! It's going to be one or the other IMO; I think Allen is hurt and can't play. The way the QB situation is unfolding should result in someone being fired.
  14. In a pathetic, tragic kind of way. [The fact that Nate threw the first Bills TD in 13 quarters].
  15. I said way up thread that I thought Schopp ended up on the phone with McD, but not to apologize. I think he may have tried to contact McD to say "What just happened?" and then got into it with him a little bit on the phone such that he missed the rest of Hour 3 of the show. The conversation was not a lot different than normal IMO, though Schopp's very first question was pretty edgy and somewhat offensive. "What is it that you see and like in Nathan Peterman that no one else does?" or words to that effect. That's kind of insulting, and Schopp does not take that type of tone with McD AT ALL. He usually waits to talk about him on the show, but he doesn't go after him directly when he has the chance. What you state here is Mike Schopp's personal battle cry. He's been on this for so long Bulldog actually told him he was sick of talking about it recently. And it's 100% true. It is shocking to me that Nate Peterman is still on the roster as of 10/16/2018. Keep in mind there is not another team in the NFL that would put Peterman on their roster. Not one.
  16. No, McD doesn't go into the studio to talk each Monday with Schopp & Bulldog. He calls in to the station over a telephone line, as most, if not all guest appearances are done at the station. S&B broadcast from "716" on Sabres home game days and then guests come to them at that location in person, that's about all I can think of that is not talking to them over the telephone.
  17. THANK YOU! There is not a team in this league, other than the one in Buffalo, that would even put Nate Peterman on their roster, let alone play him in football games. Yet the brain trust at OBD went into the season thinking he would be a serviceable starting QB. Think about that. That is an error in judgment that justifies dismissal. Using the pick we got for AJ to get Fitz would be fantastic. That is a QB swap worth making and which greatly upgrades the position. Won't be happening though. I wonder if Nate Peterman will see playing time this Sunday.
  18. None of them did much while here and all were subject to a lot of fan scrutiny in varying degrees. Now you want them all back? You must have a short memory.
  19. Just curious. Why is OK around here to trash Nate Peterman but praise Josh Allen? Both have looked like hot garbage so far and both have played a grand total of 5 games in the NFL. It's too early to evaluate Josh but not too early for Nate, right? A year of development can make a huge difference with Josh but not Nate. Josh will be good, Nate will not be good. The herd mentality and groupthink around here are kind of scary.
  20. No kidding. It's the favorite pastime of the Bills fan, along with trashing anything related to the Cleveland Browns.
  21. That's why you'd like to hold onto Nate Peterman and see how he progresses with more playing time, right? He and Josh Allen have both played 5 games now. A year can make an enormous difference in a QB's development. Any reason why that doesn't apply to Nate Peterman?
