  1. This entire post made me laugh out loud. Thank you! If you don't laugh at the Bills and this season, you'll cry, then want to commit suicide. Better to laugh.
  2. Just heard that a second medical opinion also suggested no surgery necessary. I assume that's old news now but I thought I'd pass it along.
  3. You're right. His 80 yards of passing are going to be sorely missed. He's averaging 138 per game for the season. I think Mahomes and Brady both had more than that in the last 5 minutes of the game last Sunday night.
  4. We should start a thread with rumors we have heard as to what that dirt is. That could be a lot of fun in the midst of an otherwise garbage season.
  5. Bring him back to Buffalo! He'll be the best thing that starts at QB this year for us, or be the best backup. Will he work cheap?
  6. Apparently quite a lot according to the "let him watch from the sideline" camp. I think he'll learn very little, if anything, nor do I think he can be "ruined" by being played, when healthy of course. The real question is could even Russ Brandon's powers be sufficient to create a positive spin here? I don't think Russ could do it!
  7. 1. Being born in Buffalo with a father who was a rabid sports fan. 2. I love watching a game unfold on Sunday for 3 hours. 3. The moment the clock ended and we beat the Raiders 51-3 in the 1990 AFC Championship game. It was the high water mark of this franchise, IMO, and at that moment we were clearly the best team in the NFL; I was confident we would win the Superbowl, and that was my "perfect moment" in decades of fanhood.
  8. That franchise is a leading contender to end up in London one day. I think that's still some years out, but it's coming, unfortunately. The owners will f-ing love it. Why make a few hundred million a year when you can make a billion a year with a global sport?
  9. Then he needed to be replaced with a different veteran who could offer what we thought McCarron was capable of. The whole idea of having a veteran was to offer some stability, particularly keeping in mind that Nate had previously not been able to finish a game he started, he was so bad, and everyone on the planet has suggested, from Day 1, that Allen is raw, a project, and totally not ready to play in the NFL; the least "ready" QB off his draft class among the named guys. So what did we do? Acquire a 5th round pick, throw AJ off the team, prayed to Jesus, and went forward with Nate "The Human Turnover Machine" Peterman and Josh "I have no idea what I'm doing" Allen. With the way this staff handled the QB position last year, and given that our HC is a glorified gym teacher who specializes in defense, who could ever have seen this fiasco coming?
  10. Filler? Getting Bridgewater on this team and running with him until he breaks is as good an idea as I can think of at this point....while still drafting another QB next year, hopefully with a very high drafting position.
  11. Here's the really funny, or sad, or maybe tragic part of it. Anderson will come in off the street, having been out of the game for a year, and deliver the most competence at the position we have seen so far this year. Suck on that for a while, Bills fans!
  12. Yes he can. I still support starting him over Nate however.
  13. We can learn that McBeane are idiots and have botched the QB position for this season fantastically.
  14. ...laugh hard and wait for the entertainment come Monday morning. If Peterman starts or plays and throws a few more picks, everything in Bills country is going to explode. Certainly not just this forum.
  15. Luck has over 1,000 more passing yards than all Bills QBs combined so far this season. 1,792 for Luck; 738 for the Bills team.
  16. Thank you. This is not a "hindsight is 20/20" kind of thing as some have said. McDermott was foolish enough to rely heavily on pre-season game performance as a predictor who would work in real football games. He's not a HC; he's a DC masquerading as one. BTW: There was a "predict something for the upcoming season" thread here in August. I predicted we'd all be bitching about how the QB situation was handled. Someone dig it up if you like.
  17. There is no chance--none--of Nate Peterman earning a roster spot on any team in the NFL based on what he has done in games to date. None! Here, he is the backup and maybe starter for a while, unless we go with Anderson, and I believe he's 67 years old.
  18. "To trade your only slightly proven guy was a mistake and clearly if you look at this situation logically you would say that it's absolute lunacy that it's likely or even possible that in Week 7 of the NFL season, the starting QB for the rest of the season could be a guy they picked up off the street. It's been a mismanaged position." "This has turned into a disaster at the most important position in team sports." From Hour 3 of One Bills Live today. Starts 2 minutes into the hour. https://wgr550.radio.com/media/audio-channel/10-16-hr-3-one-bills-live
  19. I grew up not very far from the original Anderson's on Sheridan Drive and have loved that stuff for 40+ years. I've had their roast beef sandwiches, curly Q fries, cajun fries, BBQ sandwiches and frozen custard about 10 trillion times in my life. When I was in high school/college, I used to get a roast beef on kaiser roll with horseradish, and a pint of a twist with chocolate sprinkles as dessert. I called that "dinner" about 100 times. Try one of their Vernor's ginger ales and of course, the Loganberry. It's all good.
  20. Depression has nothing to do with just not wanting to deal with people. They're two different things and if you don't have enough experience with depression to see the difference, you are lucky!
  21. Last playoff win was 23 years ago. I agree, more patience is needed. It just hasn't been enough time.
  22. Everyone likes to joke about this game in particular, and of course, it was a real ***** show. But in truth, it was just one of many similar stink fests we have put on the field over the years. The fact that it involved the Browns is some type of tragic irony. 2 cities and organizations that are like twins.
