  1. Of course they are. Maybe not this off-season, but they're numbered. The barometer for success with this GM and HC is making the playoffs. They are not going to be given an eternity to get there. When they don't get us there, and "enough time" has passed, they'll be gone. My original point was that only Pegula knows how much time is enough time.
  2. Oh I certainly don't lay Tyrod's many faults at the feet of others. People like to confuse and camouflage the discussion by talking about tangental matters like which WR is injured, how the OL performed, or whatever else. The reality is that Tyrod has a lot of deficiencies that are not likely to be overcome. His vision of the field is not good; his ability to see a receiver as being open before he is open doesn't exist; he very rarely throws a ball to anyone unless they are more or less standing still and open; his mechanics are inconsistent and poor for the most part; he refuses to use the middle of the field; he often throws passes way late, and when he does go for it, his accuracy is highly irregular; he leaves tons of points off the scoreboard with bad throws or throws that never happen; when he does read, see, anticipate, and throw accurately, he can't repeat it consistently. There is huge room for improvement at the QB position with Tyrod. I just don't think we are going to find it for the 2017 season.
  3. November 30, 2014. Orchard Park, NY. Browns vs. Bills. Kyle Orton vs. Brian Hoyer. Hoyer had to be pulled in favor of Johnny Football after putting up a **** show of absolutely epic proportions. Hoyer was absolutely undaunted in that game, showing laser guided focus, unwavering tenacity, steadfast drive, and utter determination to prove he completely sucked beyond all comprehension. Doesn't anyone remember this game? Hoyer's performance was so putrid, so inept, so vile, it put him on my personal black list forever. That's why I don't like the Hoyer backup plan.
  4. Hmmm. I can't go with the Brian Hoyer back up plan. That dude sucks. I am in favor of drafting another QB though for sure, particularly in a lower round. Would be fascinating if Tyrod goes down with an injury or we are mathematically eliminated from playoffs with regular season game or games left. Would give us the chance to play Cardale and see just how far away he really is.
  5. rooster, clock, tick, tock. However you spell it, Whaley's days are numbered.
  6. Gunner Bill! You do a nice job of addressing Stage 1 of the conversation, namely, should we retain Tyrod or not. But what about Stage 2? Stage 2 is the "So now what?" part of the plan if Stage 1 leads to NOT retaining Tyrod. I.E., who is our starting QB next year if we decide not to go forward with Tyrod? I am not sure you are going to find a better option in the very near term and for that reason, we are almost backed into having to keep Tyrod. And as an aside, as long as Rex is our coach, Tyrod is our QB. Too much politics built into it for it to be undone.
  7. Yes, the Percy re-signing was a joke and I said so the day it happened. I said it wouldn't help the team at all and that is correct. Meanwhile, Whaley passes this off as "addressing the need" when in fact it does not. Whatever. Doesn't matter. Pegula has his own internal rooster ticking on Whaley and Rex and when it strikes midnight, they're gone. Just a question of what the clock reads at the moment. No one can really know but Terry.
  8. Cutler is pretty lousy. I'm not a huge Tyrod supporter, but I'd stick with him over Cutler for sure, and hope he improves.
  9. I see a replay of the Seattle game. We play well, scare the crap out of Oakland, but lose.
  10. Buckle up your boot straps, Bills fans. We are in the "they pull me back in" phase this week. We'll look great against Oakland somehow, but lose to Cleveland or the Jets or Miami or all three.
  11. Tyrod's throw to Hunter on the TD was really well placed and just the type of throw I criticize Tyrod for not making! Hunter wasn't really "open" per se but it didn't matter. Tyrod saw that he could put the ball in a place where Hunter could catch it and the defender could not...he then had the guts to make the throw...and he threw the ball accurately. The entire thing had Tom Brady written all over it.
  12. Shady looked faster than I would have guessed on that long TD run. The first thing that ran through my mind as he scored was "No way Thurman would have scored on that play" as he never had the speed to stay in front on a long run like that. Kenneth Davis did.
  13. If Brady is throwing the ball to Clay, we wouldn't be talking about how his knee needs draining or whatever else. Tyrod doesn't seem to see him or like to throw to him, and when he does, ball placement is rarely good enough to permit YAC.
  14. Love to see this type of intelligence displayed in the NFL. It's rare.
  15. Doesn't matter in that we aren't going to the playoffs this year. Having said that, if you want to root for someone, root for KC. Denver is the better team.
  16. I have to assume he is ill as he has now missed 3 games in a row. EDIT: I stand corrected. Looks like NBC is pulling a Rick Jeanneret with Michaels, giving him a mid-season break. Everybody in the NFL gets a bye week, even apparently its announcers.Mike Tirico will take over the play-by-play role from Al Michaels on NBC's coverage of NFL games over Thanksgiving week, the network announced on Wednesday. Alongside Cris Collinsworth, Tirico will call three games starting with the Green Bay Packers and the Washington Redskins this Sunday night. Tirico will also call the Pittsburgh Steelers and Indianapolis Colts game on Thanksgiving evening, as well as next Sunday's Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos game. "With the additional games on our schedule this season, it's nice to have a bye week," Michaels, 72, said in a statement. "We're lucky to have someone of Mike's caliber to step in with Cris, Michele and the rest of the team." Tirico, who spent a decade announcing ESPN's "Monday Night Football," will also call a "Thursday Night Football" game on December 22 between the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles. NBC did not give any other reason for subbing in Tirico other than to give Michaels a break. "Once we added [Thursday Night Football], we always planned to give Al a chance to recharge to help him maintain his standard as one of the all-time greats," Fred Gaudelli, executive producer of NBC's Sunday Night Football and Thursday Night Football said in a statement. Tirico left ESPN last spring to join NBC with many observers speculating that the announcer joined NBC to be the lead play-by-play man on the network's newly acquired "Thursday Night Football" package. However, the NFL put out a statement in August that its contract with the network required that "the Sunday Night team also do Thursday Night football." Michaels will return to the booth on December 1 and will call all of the remaining "Sunday Night Football" games for NBC as well as three "Thursday Night Football" games and NBC's playoff games.
  17. Explains why you never see John from Hemet and Moshermw in the same place at the same time.
  18. So negative. Always crapping on threads you disagree with.
