  1. I think this is highly unlikely to occur, but I like the imagination and creativity involved here. Fergy's plan is likely much more entertaining than whatever we will actually do.
  2. Yeah, but look on the bright side. We get to play the Jets on Thursday night for the 3rd year in a row. Color Rush Time!
  3. Firing Bylsma makes perfect sense and that was overdue. Firing GMTM is confusing and makes no sense at all. He should have been given 1 more off-season to finish his work. This is another demerit on the Pegulas, who have now amply demonstrated they are beyond clueless when it comes to pro sports ownership.
  4. Bar fight on Pro Day, huh? That's some tough luck.
  5. Did you miss the part where we took EJ Manuel with the 16th overall pick?
  6. Tyrod has already played enough to demonstrate that he cannot be the long term answer at QB. He leaves receptions, big plays, and TDs all over the field, consistently.
  7. What is the sound of one hand clapping? Would Gronk still be Gronk if he were a Bill, and Tyrod rarely saw him or threw the ball to him? What if Norwood made the kick? How many Superbowls would have gone to, and how many would we have won? How many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop?
  8. Not a core group perhaps, but the underlying point about a below .500 record next year being highly likely remains accurate.
  9. I'd rather have them go the other way and shoot for 0-16 or something close, draft Darnold, and hope for the best. If he doesn't turn into a high quality franchise QB, at least we tried. We've tried "suck" so many different ways for so many years, why not give a new way a try?
  10. This is true and Whaley knows it. That's why he is desperate to retain his gig while he has it. We saw the same thing unfold with Darcy Regier at the Sabres.
  11. Until we have an NFL starting quality QB, the WR corps doesn't matter much.
  12. Somewhat tangental to your main theme here, but... Is Buffalo officially the least desired destination in the NFL these days? I would think we are in the running for that honor. Maybe Cleveland? Detroit?
  13. Absolutely none of that sparks my interest even a little bit.
  14. I think some type of cognitive test particularly for QBs is very relevant to today's game...but I'm not sure the Wonderlic is the correct sort of test.
  15. Over/under of 5.9 or whatever is a bit low in my opinion. I think most betters would go with "over" which makes the number low. 6.9 or 7.9 would be more interesting. As alms always, I see us going 8-8 +/- a win. So 7 wins, 8 wins, maybe 9 wins. That's our potential.
  16. This applies to the longevity/productivity of all players, obviously, and not just QBs... But advancements in field technology alone somewhat skew the odds in the favor of the modern player. As far as I know, Jim Kelly played on what was basically astro turf over concrete at Rich Stadium. I think of all players, including Kelly, being slammed into the street with a rug over it, basically, 10,000 times...and I cringe.
  17. Watched last night; this show sucks.
  18. Don't get too caught up in numbers. Tyrod's overall talent as a passer is near the bottom of the league.
  19. OK, I say we trade up for a middling RB who will wash out of the league in 4 years.
  20. It is amazing, but there is absolutely a cycle and pattern to the psyche and commentary of the Bills Fan. You can tell which of the twelve months it is by the comments. It's all one big broken record, with 17 tracks on it.
  21. Retaining Tyrod may well have been the "Right" move given other options, but that doesn't make it encouraging or the source of optimism. Tyrod is who he is and is more or less at his ceiling...and it's not high enough. Keep working to find a QB, OBD!
