  1. Still have many friends from high school, having graduated nearly 20 years ago. Also donate money and enjoy browsing the "What's new" newsletter thing they mail to me.
  2. This season is over and we've all known that since Week 1 or 2. What bothered me about Sunday's game against the Colts was just how boring and devoid of entertaining plays it was. If it's going to be a horrible season, at least give us some highlight stuff here and there to enjoy. But Sunday was just "Why am I watching this?" type stuff.
  3. It's sort of funny, he's just a "bad kid" and some people are like that. He'll probably end up in jail, eventually, for something.
  4. A big, flukey, turnover ratio in our favor is probably about the only thing that would result in us winning this game, along with a near lights-out D performance and total frustration for Tom Brady. Rex totally confused Brady a couple years ago in WNY and had him as much off his game as I've seen in years, so it can be done.
  5. I've said this 1,000 times but... I have no idea why we don't take a scrub and give him orders to kill Tom Brady. I.E., rush the QB and don't let up until he has hit Brady as hard as he can. If that happens 4 seconds after Brady throws the ball, fine. Take the silly 15 yard penalty and who knows, maybe the guy would even get ejected. Who cares. In the meantime maybe, if you're lucky, you just took Brady out of the game for at least a series, maybe a quarter, maybe a half, maybe the whole thing. It's the single most effective tactic for winning McDummy can employ. But he won't.
  6. And ultimately you need to out-gun them in a shootout. KC came close to pulling it off. Their offense is about 150 times more high powered than ours.
  7. Bridgewater may be the best thing we can get at the QB position for quite some time. We won't do it.
  8. Yes they do, but the magic on offense all starts with the QB, always. If Mahomes wasn't fantastic, all that talent around him would go to waste. Mahomes is really playing well right now, and he is showing that he has a core set of skills that are going to allow him to be good for a long time.
  9. He's living proof that the Dunning-Kruger effect is a real phenomenon.
  10. I voted 0% b/c both will be gone in the "next 2 to 3 years" IMO
  11. Regardless of what the Tweet means, Allen is week to week and I think it's a safe bet he's out for at least a month. He's not playing on Monday night and I don't think Peterman will play again barring injury to Anderson. So an announcement telling us Allen is hurt and Anderson is playing is kind of what we already know.
  12. Quick question: Is there really a "Start Peterman" faction in existence? Does it include anyone other than his close friends and family? I didn't think there was one at this forum.
  13. I wish the people who view this forum as a place to objectively discuss the team could be identified and merged into a sub-group. Then, all the people who view this as a "fan club" for only cheering and supporting the team could be identified and merged into a second sub-group. Keep the two sub-groups independent of one another and most fans in both groups would find their sub-forum far superior to the one we actually have. It would also avoid tons of in-fighting *****, which predominates most threads.
  14. If Andrew Luck is done, he must be able to be had for a relatively low price. Can someone please call Beane and urge him to get that accomplished?
  15. The trend this year has been that our D looks great against non-elite QBs. They then look avg. or bad against elite passers. Brady is probably the best of all time, so I think this is going to be a letdown game from the D. On top of that, you can argue the D lost some energy/quit in the last game with their spirit finally broken. That may not be true, but it doesn't help the situation if it is. The only 2 QBs on the roster who are healthy are Anderson and Peterman. Both are apt to produce turnovers and both are terrible quarterbacks. You add it all up and we should be beat in a embarrassing manner. Something better than that will be a pleasant surprise. PS: I will be cheering for the game within the game, meaning Brady getting hit or injured. If we can knock him around I'll consider it a victory. It's what I'll be watching most closely.
  16. This thread, and Bills fans like Kevin1778, strongly suggest that Russ Brandon's reputation as a marketing genius is greatly overestimated. Bills fans are some of the best fans in the world in any sport, and they will support this franchise to the very end. They're clueless, mind you, but man are they loyal.
  17. Absolutely not! Without a QB, fancy WRs are worthless.
  18. I like the idea, generally, but I think they will want too much for a guy I fundamentally don't believe in. Don't think he can be a long term solution so he wouldn't justify the price. A 1st round pick for Cooper, on the Bills, would have made zero sense.
  19. I admire your passion and enthusiasm, and desire to see a winning team in Buffalo. Most of our fans are the best you'll ever find. They deserve so much better than what they have had over the years. But this season is over, and we are headed for a bottom 3 finis, or something pretty close. The sooner you accept it, the better you will feel.
  20. Just b/c the glorified gym teachers running this organization/team think you need a big armed QB in WNY weather does not make that so. They seem to have missed the fact that when we went to 4 straight Super Bowls, we had an explosive passing attack that, for example, in the 1990 AFC Championship game played on a cold Buffalo January day, gutted the Raiders for 51 points and had them so rattled, their defense was calling timeouts in a confused panic. Our stadium has nothing to do with the success of the team.
