  1. Beane or McDermott? His absence is not completely irrelevant on a night when our D line was run over all night long and failed to generate a pass rush all night long too. A lot of Marcell's value was in tying up linemen in double teams so that other Bills could make impact plays. You take Marcell's double team off the field and everyone around him on the Bills D becomes a bit worse. I hated the fat piece of garbage so what is, is what is... But I think we missed him tonight.
  2. You don't understand NFL football very well then. This sort of thing is common. This game may very likely be offset by a huge win no one sees coming, like our road game in KC, or maybe one or both of the NE games. You never know in this league and you get weird results week to week routinely.
  3. So much went wrong tonight I do not think it is productive to really evaluate any of it. I am willing to call it an aberration, throw it in the garbage can, and move forward. Our next game and a strong rebound is going to be very important.
  4. Dumb thread. The whole "Will Kelvin play" thing was utterly meaningless, we now know. I wanted him to play. Now that we know it was going to go down the way it did, I'm glad he did not play considering his bad knee.
  5. In fairness, he was talking us up before the game and predicted us to win. Pre-game he gave notice, saying the analysts all had a good chance to see what the Bills are all about, playing right in front of them... You really can't fault his post game comments, based on what he saw tonight. He hates the Bills anyway, going back to the Superbowl teams.
  6. No, he was calling the offensive plays. Both were strong contributors to that embarrassment.
  7. Yeah but in fairness, it's the same with the kool aid drinkers when things go bad. Most of that ilk bailed out of this game thread a while ago.
  8. And that doesn't even touch the heart of the matter, which was horrible line play on both sides of the ball. When you get pushed off the line all night you are not going to win. Add in the turnovers and the score should be more lopsided than it is. That's b/c McCown sucks, among other factors.
  9. They are deathly afraid to push the gas pedal with Tyrod. And for good reason.
  10. He's been normal to below normal. I'll give him a pass though as he has been surrounded by a lot of suck tonight on both sides of the ball and we are not losing the game b/c of him.
  11. Multiple choice Question: Tonight, OC Dennison's offensive scheme has been: A) Playfully and unconventionally inventive B) Wildly productive C) Richly diverse D) F-ing ugly
  12. **** I didn't even think of that. Get him in there on the cheap! Nothing to be lost.
  13. Look on the bright side! Our team penalties have stayed steady for a while now at 10 for 94! I though for sure we'd be well over 100 by now.
  14. Come on Augie, give it a rest. You're a reasonable sort. Surely you can see why some fans are fed up. It's true the owner, coach, GM, players, all don't have responsibility for all of the failures of the past 17 years... The only common denominator in all of it, other than the uniforms worn, is the fans. Lucky us.
  15. D quit on that last touchdown. That was disappointing.
  16. Patience grasshopper. In order for one to win, one must first lose.
  17. Yeah, back then it was usually the road game against then division rival Indianapolis...who was terrible in those days. We'd usually lose in Indy.
  18. He's the only color guy I'd choose to listen to that I know of, at the moment. He's smart, funny, positive, has a good personality, and provides a lot of x and o insight.
  19. And now the stupid unsportsmanlike penalty for Hughes! It must be b/c we are playing the Jets. Everyone thought this was last year and Rex was still the coach tonight. HOLY ****
