  1. A number of callers to WGR-550 today mentioned plans to go or friends who are going, etc.
  2. The blue tuuk with the pom pom on top is nice. If I still lived in a cold climate I'd get one of those.
  3. What player (can be from either team) will score the first points in the Bills/Jaguars game on Sunday? How many points will be scored? I say McCoy plays, plays well, and scores 6 points on a rushing TD for the first strike of the game by either team. What do you think?
  4. Are you some kind of wise guy? This is impossible. Dunkirk Don disclosed last night that Shady is a NO GO for Sunday's game, and he has inside information.
  5. It really was an exciting day last Sunday to be a Bills fan, and the donations to Andy Dalton's charity for children has been icing on the cake. Now if we can find a way to win in Jacksonville....it's going to get a whole lot crazier!
  6. NOTE: Please excuse my appearance in this photo. I wasn't myself when that photo was taken. I was wearing a white shirt and normally I only wear black.
  7. I definitely enjoy feeding birds. I find the more aggressive ones greatly enjoy the taste of trouser snake.
  8. ^ Vows to challenge himself by doing something he has never done before: read a book in its entirety.
  9. I would spend between $187 and $446. Any less and you are buying junk; a dime more and you go from therapeudic [sic] to just another douchebag.
  10. This is outrageous! They rank Tyrod dead last at #12 out of 12 QBs in the playoffs! He's much better than that; I read it here every day from the experts on this matter. Apparently it's not obvious or even easily deduced, but if you know enough about football you can see just how good Tyrod really is. The entire rest of the football world is wrong; a handful of QB experts, coincidentally all frequent contributors at this forum, know just how good Tyrod really is. He's gotta be ranked higher than 12!
  11. I don't know who WILL step up, but if Tyrod does NOT step up, we'll lose. He has to have one of his better games, probably coming from plays involving his feet more than his arm. No doubt about that, but it's kind of hard for an interior defensive lineman to put his stamp on a game and control the outcome. I don't see Kyle's performance as being critical to a win or loss either way. Helping to shut down the Jags' running game, in general, has to be a top priority though, of course. We need to make Bortles throw the ball especially when he doesn't want to. He's not good enough to succeed if he has to throw a lot.
  12. PS: I would be much more interested in knowing who they replace the bald play by play guy with...he's terrible. Never liked Mike Tirico either. Rex is pretty freaking bad at color during a game; not sure ESPN would give him that sort of limelight job. Rex is better in a studio sitting behind a counter with 4 other guys spouting off.
  13. I'm sure just as much as the average football fan. All kidding aside, he would be the perfect 3rd member in a 3 man crew, as long he kept it under control and it wasn't a total goof show for the whole game. I would think a network would love that idea, b/c there are a LOT of crap games where viewership must drop off dramatically shortly after the start of the game, or when the score becomes lopsided. Caliendo would keep viewership numbers high when they would otherwise be low.
  14. If BB or Brady leave, Pegula needs to offer either of them whatever they want, plus one of his children, to get them here. Brady, in the dying days of his career, could put us in the Superbowl overnight with a few other supporting adjustments. BB would turn the franchise into NE. Give him money, more money, power, control, whatever he wants. Only concern would be how long BB still wants to do this stuff.
  15. If it makes anyone feel better, I had to wear a light jacket on my evening walk tonight down here in West Palm. We are going through a cold snap right now too. High for tomorrow is expected to only be 65; I probably won't even be able to hop in the ocean for a quick dip until next week!
  16. So you are happy simply to be playing in the game. I fear the team feels that way too. Imagine making the playoffs and then actually have a reasonable expectation of winning, too! We can hope; some day.
  17. Somewhat interesting piece designed to be deliberately controversial. I think "click bait" is the term these days. Seems to have worked; this thread will go to 20 pages before long. PS: Most of my friends who still Iive in WNY (life long Buffalonians) would agree with the author 100% and do not really follow WNY sports.
