I agree with this. I have maintained all along Darnold would go #1 and I still think he will. I think most have him at 1 and so it's like he doesn't exist, as the Browns will take him, no one else can get him, and there's not much to talk about as a result.

All advanced statistics try to take something that is incredibly complex and distill it down to a simple result with a simple calculation. It's not that simple. To really get a "correct" answer, a model needs to be incredibly complex with many variables. Something like "completion percentage" is more complicated than simply keeping track of whether or not a pass was caught for a gain. What you are really trying to decide, anyway, is if the QB is an accurate passer. Completion % doesn't really tell you the full story with regard to that.

No one is really talking much about this, and I think it would be a minority opinion around here, but I couldn't agree with you more. If we can't one of the big names this year, go in a different direction and re-group for another year. We don't need another EJ Manuel draft where we take a lame QB for the sake of taking a lame QB.

Bad news will create more chaos on this forum than good news will. If we get one of the "Big 3" that most folks can support on some level, things might not be that insane. If we draft Allen or worse, this place will crash.

Did not vote b/c there was no "NEITHER" option, which is clearly an option. If we can't move up and take Darnold/Rosen/Mayfield...I might even support an all out reset, push the QB selection back to a future draft, and then pray to God AJ doesn't totally suck.

I'm PRAYING for Cleveland to take Allen #1 overall. I don't think it's going to happen however.

He has Darnold #1 too. I think everyone does, and I think Cleveland is going to take him #1. That's the only strong prediction I'll make prior to Thursday night.
