From a political perspective, I would say I am much more pro-woman than many men. It's not like I'm some misogynistic meathead. Yet I have to say...in my experience, women are absolutely going to cry in the work place when things go wrong, and men just don't do that, and it's straight up unprofessional, at least in a professional office environment. Doesn't stop the tears from flowing though. Just one of a thousand differences between men and women, some good, some bad, some neither.

Little kid's slo-mo run to home plate
Fadingpain replied to The Poojer's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I had 2 immediate reactions: 1) That is not "slo-mo" that is like hardly moving. 2) This kid has some mental issues! Major OCD or that type of thing. Note how he shrugs off the coach with disgust then goes back to his odd ritual down the baseline. Kid's not all there. -
It's true a cell phone or quartz movement watch will give you much more accurate time than an expensive mechanical movement watch, but that completely misses the point if you are into chronology and a watch geek. The last Ferrari 250 GTO from 1962 sold for $38 million. A new corvette for 55 grand or so would slaughter the 250 on any track in the world... But one car is worth 38 million and appreciating, the other is depreciating as I type.

Yeah but we don't know Allen was "our franchise" QB. In fact, I suspect he was not our #1 choice. We'll never know what set of permutations played out resulting in doing what we did. Allen at 7 via trade with Tampa is how it played out. Doesn't mean that was the plan or Allen our #1 target 5 minutes before the draft started.

Brady plans to play at least two more years
Fadingpain replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Unfortunatley it's going to go the other way. Brady will continue to own us for a couple more years, then retire, maybe around the time we get good, if we are going to get good. And then the revenge will not be nearly as sweet. -
Harrison Phillips on John Murphy show WGR550
Fadingpain replied to billsredneck1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Get great guests? Compliment? The show is run by employees of the team. It is an extension of the Bills PR department. Of course they get great Bills guests! It's all one family of people. -
What This Draft Taught Bills Fans

How much less could you care? And does this mean you care quite a lot? -
Vegas Over/Under 2018 Win Totals - Bills at 6.5
Fadingpain replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For all these reasons and more, we are a major regression candidate this year. We did a lot of winning the odds say won't happen twice. Plus we lose some stability at QB position as much as I'm glad Tyrod is gone. Record this year will be worse than last year almost certainly, but let's see how things progress and what things look like in training camp/pre-season. -

Way too early for this sort of prediction to have any meaning, but I went under... ...only b/c at the moment we don't really have a QB, Allen is unlikely to start, and AJ is totally untested at the NFL level and likely to fail at that level IMO. -
You're annoyed by negativity so you start a negative thread attacking 50% of the fan base. Cool.

IMO the charging buffalo is now a dated piece of graphic design, but not in a good way so as to become an old classic. The classic logo is the standing buffalo. Sports logos were much better across the board many years ago. Much of the new stuff is more suited to corporate letterhead stuff. As others have said, just go back to the standing buffalo and leave it that way forever. The older it gets the better it will get, kind of like the Blackhawks sweaters in hockey or the Yankee pinstripes/logo, as much as I hate the Yankees.

Matt Waldman's film study of Josh Allen
Fadingpain replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Disagree. Blowing the draft choice on a guy who is highly likely to bust according to all the data is not "taking a real shot at finding a franchise QB" any more than taking EJ was a real shot. Want a real shot at a franchise QB? Take the best passer in this draft class, Josh Rosen. Time will tell. -
This whole conversation hinges on the comments made by Alonzo Highsmith. Dude is an ex-football player/boxer who probably majored in basket weaving or cocaine intake at U. Miami. You think he is a great reader of men/judge of character/insightful thinker? Maybe. Maybe not. It's hilarious to me how pro sports organizations rely on athletes to do these jobs. Just saw little piece about Brendan Shanahan announcing Lamarillo won't be back as GM with the Leafs. Photo show Shanahan with glasses on wearing a suit up in a box at a game. Makes me laugh out loud. Guy was playing in the NHL as an 18 year and has no formal education to speak of. Now he's running the Leafs organization. LOL.

Did Beane know Chargers wanted Edmunds at 17?
Fadingpain replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nah. Not a fan of moving up as a draft strategy. Like the player taken just fine, but he wasn't the only guy in the draft. Beane may have had an idea of who was waking whom, but still not sure it justifies the trade-up, unless Edmunds is a HOFer. -
WGR Hosts Scared Of On-Air Confrontation
Fadingpain replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know he is hugely unpopular on this board and I am not a huge fan of him for other reasons, but I would argue Mike Schopp is the smartest guy on the station, and by a wide margin. -
Plus 17 minus 5 (Taylor moved off the team) = 12 Kim Kelly the last real franchise QB we had. Mere coincidence?

Interesting quote from MMQB, possibly in reference to Bills
Fadingpain replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The only interesting aspect of this to me is this: If we really did try hard to move to #2, it means we did not want Allen as our first pick. No way we were thinking we would need to move to 2 to get Allen. If that is true, I wonder who it is that we really wanted? For all we know, "our guy" that everyone wanted us to move the world for was Baker Mayfield. When Cleveland took him first somewhat surprisingly, our entire draft shifted to a contingency plan. Entirely possible. -
Dareus. He's a giant sack of crap, but he's a really good giant sack of crap when he is in the mood to play football. Rather than dump him, I wish they could have found a way to unlock what he has to offer. Their handling of him is ultimately a failure.

Cam Newton scouting report compares to Josh Allen

Cut to the chase: If Allen turns into a perfect clone of Cam, is it good enough? -
Start Allen from Day 1/ QB competition
Fadingpain replied to BuffaloBud420's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Here's a fact: we could have moved up and drafted the consensus worst QB prospect in the country, the one that no one in the business thinks is anything other than horrible... ...and a majority of this message board would support the pick and start to convince themselves that the player is going to be great. These Allen discussions here are not about football or a football player. They are about human psychology.
