Would like to see Bills on Hard Knocks
Fadingpain replied to SteveFreeman22's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
From my fan perspective, would love to see it. From the team perspective, I don't see how the show presence at T.C. could help, but it could definitely hurt. -
Do we have the worst QB situation in the league?
Fadingpain replied to Seanbillsfan2206's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's been so bad for so long around here, just the prospect of having a successful QB makes the mouth water! God forbid we would actually have a proven, good QB rolling into a training camp! -
For those wondering, Brian Cushing is not related to the late Peter Cushing.

Which position shall we add next in Free Agency
Fadingpain replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seeing as AJ could quite possibly flame out by Week 5 with Allen being rushed prematurely onto the field, how about a speed burning WR? Gotta have someone who can take advantage of Allen's arm strength and keep defenses honest. -

I think it is likely that AJ turns out to be worse than Tyrod. Allen is a project who is no supposed to be ready any time soon, if he is ever ready. Peterman threw 5 picks in a half of football, which is some type of record. So yeah, we have one of the worst situations in the league, if not dead bottom. It can only get better! -
Meh, I bet a lot of guys do this sort of thing, probably out of convenience as much as anything. Doubt he's trying to scam people to make a few extra bucks selling helmets. He makes too much real money to worry about dumb stuff like that.

Pegula is going to take us to the Super Bowl

Don't think so. No way we will all fit in his little private jet. -
Need identity of this former Bills player

Incidentally, the man in the background behind Thurman's left shoulder is Regis Philbin. -

Combing through the negative Josh Allen Grades/Reviews
Fadingpain replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And if Tyrod Taylor could have consistently found open receivers and accurately delivered the ball to them, he'd still be a Buffalo Bill making $30 million a year. But he can't and so he's not. Don't see your point. -
Only if you are a certain body type. Ask William "The Fridge" Perry about "losing" football weight post-retirement. Dude is a huge land whale.
-
He has that type of body; has to work hard all the time to keep weight UP. He's not a true "big body" in that sense. Other guys have to work constantly to keep their weight in check and the moment they retire, the bloat up to 400 lbs. You can usually tell which is which by the size of their ass. Not joking. Another NFL OL with a Wood body type was John Fina. A guy who didn't have this problem was House Ballard. PS: ON a recent Monday segment with Schopp & Bulldog, prior to his retirement, Wood said he would like to be around 260 lb. (as I recall) after retirement. He mentioned constantly eating and lifting during the season to keep his weight on.
-
I think it's rooted in his cannon for an arm, perfect/huge size, and much higher than average overall athleticism. They seem to think that if you can harness what his body offers, he'll be an incredible QB. This theory overlooks the small problem that is he a very average QB and always has been, or that anyone with his college stats have never amounted to jack at the NFL level.

Combing through the negative Josh Allen Grades/Reviews
Fadingpain replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To the OP: You're preaching to the choir with me. Allen over Rosen was a mistake; it was foolish to move up to take a guy like Allen; stats/history says Allen is almost certain to be a bust. On the bright side, there will be more QBs coming out of college in the next few years and maybe we can get it right with one of them. -
Saw the thread title and thought we were in for "Meat Draft" Part II.

What's Up With the Buffalo Blitz Paywall?
Fadingpain replied to Keukasmallies's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
4 things you can count on: 1) Death 2) Taxes 3) People here bitching about Schopp and the Bulldog 4) People here bitching about The Buffalo News -
I think he understands the Xs and Os of defensive football well. He made too many in-game tactical mistakes last year to be considered an excellent overall football coach, however. He needs to improve his game management a lot.

And see how Josh Allen works out.

Three reasons to hire Jordan Palmer
Fadingpain replied to IgotBILLStopay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
From his perspective, sticking with what he is doing is much preferable to becoming a QB coach with a team, and then subjecting himself to the ebb and flow of success at that team. What he has going is way more stable. Trying to find a new job every few years and moving around the country isn't really a great lifestyle, though I realize lots of coaches are willing to do that. -
How much difference does Edmunds' size and speed make?
Fadingpain replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Edmunds' playing style and physical attributes make him a perfect fit for how the Bills play defense under McDermott. I'm sure he'll do a fine job. How much impact a good LB has on the team's w/l record as a whole, however, is a different matter. We need Allen to hit, not Edmunds.
