  1. Any incidents of dumping the bike, etc., you have had and care to discuss? Or have you never had a problem?
  2. Who here rides, or has ridden, a motorcycle? Did you ever fall off or dump the bike? I have been told by many bike riders over the years that it is not a question of "IF" you will fall, but "WHEN". I do not ride or own a bike, but I have ridden a friend's bike around the block a few times. I love everything about bikes but I am scared to ride them. I'd be curious to hear what folks say about it.
  3. I know what you mean, but as an aside, when did it become bad for an interior defensive lineman to "only" be a "space eater"??? That's kind of the point....eat space and don't get pushed out of that space to create a hole. Ted Washington was an excellent space eater for us. Jeff Wright not so much.
  4. My God no! Guaranteed contracts have destroyed the NHL. The league is full of soft floaters who know they are getting paid no matter what, and don't live in fear of being cut and out of the league tomorrow. Then they hustle in their contract year to get some good stats for their next contract, then float for another few years.... It's ruined the game, at least in the regular season.
  5. There is no doubt that our play calling the last few years did not put Tyrod in the best possible position to succeed. We could have done so much more with scheming and play calling to harness his natural athleticism, which was as high as anyone on the team. Better late than never.
  6. Have to give her a thumbs down. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
  7. As we sit here now with Lawson on the brink of being cut, I wonder how many people applauded his selection on draft day? Quite a few! His story is a sobering reminder: don't get too excited on draft day or caught up in who won the draft and who lost....only time will tell, and most selections are a crap shoot.
  8. I would agree that we don't have enough reps to go around for the 3 QBs, particularly #1 team reps....but... Mariucci is an idiot who has been run out of the league, so I wouldn't get too caught up in his comments. Allen probably is the best of the 3 without it being close. But that is not a high hurdle to clear. And therein lies the rub.
  9. Ground and pound! Pound the rock! Build a bully! Run and stop the run!
  10. He always looked weird. He has a cartoonish face with overly accentuated, round, fat cheeks.
  11. Answering my own post for anyone who is also interested, from Joe Buscaglia: It seems that plan included giving Allen one set of first-team reps in the middle of practice on Friday, too. It's an essential step because that means he's still on the same track that they initially had him in the first place. And now, we'll see what they do after it. So, how'd he do? He threw a total of three passes with the first-team offense during 11-on-11s, the first an in-stride swing pass to LeSean McCoy, the second was a bit of an overthrow and incompletion intended for Charles Clay, and the third was another high throw, only this time Clay was able to bring it in. In total, Allen went 5-of-8 during team drills on Friday. Allen's first-team reps came at the cost of A.J. McCarron, who was the quarterback atop the depth chart for the rest of the practice. McCarron probably had the most reliable day of the three, going 5-of-7 although being sacked twice as well. Nathan Peterman went 3-of-8 and was sacked once. All in all, it was a rather ho-hum day for the quarterbacks outside of Allen mixing in with the ones.
  12. Sal C. reported yesterday that during offense vs. defense drills, Peterman got #1 team, AJ got #2 team, and Allen got #3 team. He suggested that would be switched around for today. Did it? Anyone know which QB got which team?
  13. Amen to that. FIOS is the way to go. I would like to add that Comcast cable sucks and I hope they go out of business.
  14. Beat me to it. I was going to go with "Curly, Larry, and Moe".
  15. Can't wait to see that MLB matched up with Gronk. He's one of the few guys in the league who has the size and speed to go toe to toe with him. I also hope he has a mean streak in him and reminds Gronk what goes around comes around.
  16. I agree that you would think the playoff game would have been an opportunity for lots of national pundits to really sit down and watch Tyrod, maybe for the first time. And he was god awful in that game. Blake Bortles wasn't any better! One of the worst quarterbacked games of any type, let alone playoff games, I ever recall watching. It's like a lot of these guys didn't watch the game.
  17. We are witnessing the renaissance of Nate Peterman!
  18. It's a bull **** move from your relatives, Ice bowl, but I guess you'd have to take them in and try to make the best of it, unless you are willing to alienate them forever. Judgment call.
  19. In order working left to right, top row to bottom row: 1) No 2) No 3) Hell No 4) Oh my God no 5) Jesus Christ no
  20. Listen to the roar of the crowd as Biscuit runs 90 yards or whatever for the TD on the blocked FG. 80,000 going nuts. Awesome! Everyone in the building knew Biscuit would score and wouldn't be caught from behind. This team back in those days was electrifying. Anything was possible and we were never out of it.
  21. A PC from Day 1 of camp with Sean McDermott talking is what you call a "Can Miss" event.
