50 of the Most Outstanding Album Covers of All Time

Savannah is a quaint historical town with a beautiful city center. One of the few bright spots in the American South in my opinion. I can think of worse places to relocate to.

POLL: Is the Bills Playoff Drought Over or Not?

Since you brought it up, it looks like we haven't won a playoff game in 23 years. -

Preseason Game 2: vs. Browns 8/17

NFL Total Access at 7pm on NFL Network will probably focus on the game. -
I think real Bills fans do not care who wins QB battle

Meh. He's expressing an opinion. You don't have to agree with it. That's what this forum is about. -
POLL: Is the Bills Playoff Drought Over or Not?
Fadingpain replied to Fadingpain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. -
Oh sure, but what the hell. I made a poll anyway. Don't think we will see many votes in the "NOT" camp.
-
Why not set up a poll with a vote? Pretty sure the results would not be 50/50.

I am really rooting for Corey Coleman tonight

This game should feature nicely in the next episode which will be a fun to see. I hope we get a little behind the scenes Bills stuff in that one, not just Cleveland stuff. -
Hard Knocks 2018: The Cleveland Browns
Fadingpain replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
These guys are college attendees/graduates. And grown men. Not knowing what interest is or the important of saving for a rainy day is ridiculous, embarrassing, and unfortunately, an indication of the realties they come from. And how old were you when that happened? In college? The burden of education is on the student. You and "Gigs" both sound like a pair of idiots. No offense. -
It's over because we played a playoff game and that's official. Nor was it the product of error. Was it the most convincing regular season campaign in league history? The most solidly earned playoff berth of all time? Hardly. But karma has a way of working out in the end. We were barely what could be considered a playoff team and that was demonstrated when we lost our first game to a middling opponent with only 3 points to show for our efforts. That's a fitting playoff performance for the team in that year. It's also why Tyrod is gone. That 3 point performance in Jacksonville was his ceiling.

We Learn A Lot About Allen When He Plays the Browns
Fadingpain replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Remember back in 2015? Third pre-season game against the Steelers; that game showcases our starting QB as the regular season starter right? Wrong. We started EJ Manuel in that game. Then we went to Matt Cassel. Finally, Tyrod came in as the third QB. Who started regular season game 1? Tyrod Taylor. Just give it some time and let's see how it plays out. We'll know everything in the next few weeks! -
Don't get bent out of shape by that expert. He's still waiting for his boy EJ to shine; just needs a bit more time.

Advice Needed re: Managerial Dilemma at Work
Fadingpain replied to Fadingpain's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Thanks everyone for the input; I am gonna call my buddy and tell him to be calm, fair, but stern and clear. He needs to tell her what she did wasn't good enough, and in the future she needs to make sure he receives her communication. Also might be a good idea to inform more than 1 person before she leaves the building. -

It's not a situation where she's faking it and doing something weird. Apparently there were some witness to the scene in the ladies bathroom and it wasn't good. It wasn't a vomiting problem. It involved the other end of things. I think her track record is quite good, which is why my buddy likes her so much. A lot of the other people he works with are not quite good. -

She's like a 53 year old lesbian who used to be the personal accountant of the guy who started Nike shoes apparently! I think this makes sense and is basically about all my buddy can do; jibes with what Augie is saying as well. -
Advice Needed re: Managerial Dilemma at Work
Fadingpain replied to Fadingpain's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Well keep in mind the "meeting" took place over the telephone with everyone hooked into my buddy's computer as well, so they could all see what was on his screen. But they weren't all in 1 big room in a traditional sense. Linda was in her own office earlier that day, but as I understand, she did decide to go home during the meeting. My buddy's complaint was that she basically should have texted him on his cell phone or somehow contacted him in a way that would have worked, as the IM feature is shut off I guess during a teleconference. -

He's on the west coast and I'm a night owl, so I told him I would run this past the brain trust at TBD and call him around midnight to report the findings. LOL. -

Thanks Augie. I use the word "yell" colloquially. Highly doubt my buddy is going to "yell" per se. He is just uneasy about how to best lay down the law and let Linda know this was unacceptable and can't happen again. Everything in life isn't broad black and white distinctions. I think (as I understand it) Linda is a good worker and I know my buddy has been pleased with the hire overall, b/c a lot of his other underlings are kind of incompetent. Obviously in this instance, though, Linda's performance wasn't great. I guess we all make mistakes. -
The opening sequence to "Once Upon a Time in the Old West" is one of the coolest/most artistic entrances to any movie I have ever seen. The pacing of it. The lack of dialogue. The stillness. Really expresses the boredom the characters are feeling. And then because of that ultra slow pace with nothing happening, the sudden action which follows is that much more violent and forceful. Just brilliant film making IMO. This clip isn't complete and stops short. I can't find the continuation of it, but gives you a flavor of what I'm talking about if you haven't seen it.
