I guess? Gonna be splitting targets in Pitt anyways though. I think he likely gets about the same number of targets in any of those systems. Can't knock the guy for taking less money to stay somewhere he's comfortable though.

Plus when his numbers dip he can blame big ben.   If he is still a #2-3 WR with KC he cant blame the QB and the system.

Watkins was a good receiver but a cream puff with injuries and Spiller I never had fond memories of.

We also drafted spiller and watson to be the foundation of the franchise.  AnyRB at 30 isnt the foundation of the franchise, they are just a piece of the puzzle to push it over the hump.  (Look at KC with their draft last year)

Now that we really can’t spend big on FA’s anymore, we should really start getting in on this- Beane should only sign guys who have been released imo...

I would rather have a good player who will contribute this year than a late 3rd round pick in next years draft.  I know it may be controversial but if that stops them from signing someone I would be shocked.

I've had things fall out of my body that are more athletic than Lee Smith, you have things in your trash can that are more athletic than Lee Smith, babies in utero are more athletic than Lee Smith -- you get the picture, so yes, I'd say so on that one. Kroft used to be a pretty decent athlete, but tough to say with the injuries that he's sustained over the last few years. I'd say he and Hodgins are comparable.

Hodgins IS a good vertical athlete. Not a great jumper, but very good body control, knows how to use his size and length to gain position/box out, has great hands, good timing on jump balls, etc., so that's what I'm referring to as a "replacement" of sorts for a TE. What he's not is a good lateral/agile athlete. He doesn't make guys miss, he's not going to gain separation from route running, etc.

So Joe Jurevicius from the Bucs?  Just a good/solid possession WR? Id take that as my 4-6 wr any day of the week, and twice on Sunday.

Kind of my thinking too, a short yardage/RZ specialist of sorts. As the husband of an OSU Beaver, I saw a TON of Hodgins, and what he does, he does REALLY REALLY well. Unfortunately, he lacks the functional athleticism to do those things all over the field, so he's limited in the ways he can be used effectively.

Is he more athletic than Lee Smith/Tyler Kroft?  If I never see him run a route in the red zone or 3rd and long again it will be too soon.

Hodgins really ONLY fits in the slot, against zone-heavy defenses. He's not going to be shaking decent man coverage anytime soon. He is, actually, an interesting name to throw into the TE discussion. Not to say that he moves to TE, but he operates in similar space and similar functions as an outlet TE.

He's probably a WR5 or WR6 who chips in in the RZ at best. Also won't be surprised if he fails to make the roster.

I could see him being a redzone specialist, instead of a TE2 throw him in there.  If they don't have Roberts there as the "Return Specialist" eating up a roster spot they will have a roster spot for him with that role.

I thought I remember reading that Diggs and the DBs were all just as impressed with his maturity and skill as they were with G. Davis.  Imagine if they got three starting caliber WR from one draft (Diggs, Davis, and him)

Not to get into race but I know a lot of white people who don't have dads either

I don't think it's a race thing. It's an upbringing thing and an economic thing

OR maybe it is the fact based systematic approach to arresting minorities in this country that is the issue then? OR its the fact here are people in this country that will look down on someone just because of the color of their skin.  I mean there are people that were alive when there was nothing wrong with "Whites Only Pools" for goodness sake.  Then some of these people also created legislation and laws to target and harass minorities to keep the socio-economic advantages away from them.

Not discussing race is not the answer.  The old "I don't see color" isn't the answer that works anymore.  In the article he discusses empathy, that is what we need.  To understand that everyone has a story and that we cannot judge them without knowing their story too.  Nobody wants to be poor, everybody wants to be happy and healthy and provide for themselves.  I know how lucky I have been in my life to have the social and economic advantages that I have had in my life; and that doesnt make me feel that I am any better than anyone else.

  8. I am looking to clean out my office since I am working from home so much now, and I have a couple signed footballs from former Bills players that I was looking to sell.

Anyone on here know of any local stores that buy autographed Bills stuff at a decent price?  I tried calling around to a few different places but nobody is picking up their phones today.  I don't want to take the energy to post them on Ebay or FB Marketplace, and deal with all that drama, and I would rather just sell the lot.  Not sure if there is even a place on the site that allows that kind of process.

    Thanks in advance.

That was not good decision making on your part, 😂

you do realize that you owe her another vacation in paradise right,  😁

We went to another resort in Mexcio... booked it right when we got home before the schedule even came out...When it did that Sunday that we were going to be gone the Bills played the Ravens again and she told me that we were staying no matter what.  Luckily the resort was amazing and they had my suite filled up with red white and blue balloons and all the mexican beer a man could have.... she sat on the beach....

Funny I never realized that the last two time they played the Ravens I was out of the country.  Maybe since I will be in the states they will win!

  10. My wife and I left our Honeymoon in Aruba a day early to go to that game...... It was the only thing I asked for at all at our wedding and because she is the best thing that ever happened to me she agreed.

The game was awful, and the only thing colder than the rain were the looks my wife would give me over leaving paradise a day early.

She still complains about it any chance she gets.
