Most Exciting Last Minute of a Bills game ever?
RK_BillsFan replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The week we beat the Patriots (for the first time in a decade?) after being down 18 , having just overcome an 18 pt deficit to the Raiders a week prior. Where Fred Jackson being called down at the like 2 was actually better than him having made his run all the way through for a score. The review marked him down and allowed us to run 3 to 4 plays and eat up the clock rather than give Brady 90 seconds to break our hearts. Nothing, NOTHING, was more satisfying than watching Belichek sit on the sidelines helpless, telling his players to basically let us score so Brady could get the ball back with more time. -
RD 5, Pick 171: Nathan Peterman (QB) - Pitt
RK_BillsFan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I mean realistically this is more along the lines of lets get rid of Whaley's mistake picks. Good choice for a late round QB. Guy can play under center, and can throw with timing. Will he ever be our starter? Who knows, i personally hope TT makes a leap with a real offence to use and real coaches to learn from. All in all i'd rather have Peterman than CJ or Chad Kelley. CJ was another wasted pick that smells of Whaley, and who needs an already injury ridden gun slinger who's only claim to fame is he is related to an NFL great. -
winning isn't happening anytime soon

Yep, because drafting a bad qb on a running team is going to suddenly make use a ton better. Totally a reasonable train of thought. Or you know, we could wait until next year where the qbs coming out are better and surround them with a better team. Tell me whats wrong with getting a CB, WR, and RT/Guard for our first 3 picks? All things we desperately need, you know, positions we don't have anyone even remotely viable at. No, No, we should go get a QB with a high draft pick to sit behind Tyrod and not contribute for a full year or 2....... Yep that sounds wonderful. Am I thrilled that we traded up both times? Eh, i'm not extremely happy about it, but you know what, everyone always says, if you get a chance to go get your guy, you do it, and we filled needs. 1) We needed a another CB. 2) We don't have a solidified WR2, we possibly drafted him. 3) We now have someone to be our RT. Mills was terrible, and our other RT is completely unreliable. Worst case scenario he because a guard that eventually replaces an aging Incognito. -
This team stinks thanks for horrible draft.

I guess i'm in the small group of fans that's actually pretty ok with this years draft? -
Who's your no matter what pick?
RK_BillsFan replied to Billsfaninwtn's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Adams was somehow there at 10, i would lose my ****. -
Man, looking at this list, The idea of trading back twice looks so appealing. I think it's going to be a really strange year for the draft. Everything still hinges on when people start making a run on QBS. Even if the Jets/Bills/Browns all pass you still gotta think about the Cards/Saints/Giants/Texans.
-
Just to clarify, i would never take him at #10 overall. I don't know if I'd take him in the second round, although If we were to trade down and pick up another second I would be OK with it.

You know, i sit here and I watch these videos of Mahomes, and then i read all the negatives people have about him. Things like, oh he doesn't go through his reads, not a lot of pocket passes, bad form, blah blah. Are we all watching the same videos? No on sits back there for that long and doesn't go through reads. I mean just look at the pump fakes he does. Also sure he has to get out of the pocket.... often, but then again his line doesn't exactly seem good. As for his form. If the ball gets to where it needs to be on any given play, who cares. What a stupid thing to care about. I mean the guy is constantly finding an open guy, who is usually not his first read, and regardless of being still or on the move getting the ball where it needs to be. Sure he misses passes, but man does he look a lot like a young Big Ben.

Did this using fanspeak. No trades involved, if the board fell to what I was looking at for #10, i'd have traded back happily. 1) JONATHAN ALLEN -Both safeties and WR I wanted were gone. This was a toss up between Solom Thomas, Jonathan Allen, and O.J. Howard. I felt that it was just a few spots early for Howard, and with shaq already on the team and an aging Williams in the middle, Allen got the nudge here. 2) OBI MELIFONWU - Oh God.... why is there so much to choose from in this spot? Evan Engram, Obi Melifonwu, Chidobe Awuzie, Budda Baker, Kevin King, Chris Godwin.... Lord help me. I decided that with a mmovable safety with corner experience, we should shore up the back end with a freak with length. Also felt I could steal a WR in the third based on how the draft board was falling. 3) CHRIS GODWIN - Sure enough I got to steal a WR in the third (this would most likely never happen, I don't see him lasting through the second) Round 5 and Round 6 - I'm really just grasping at straws here. 5A) DAMONTAE KAZEE - We can still use corners until we have everything working and the kid is apparently everything you could want as a #3-4 corner 5B) STORM NORTON - We NEEEEEED to give the RT spot some competition and this guy is a mountain. 6) JALEN REEVES-MAYBIN - Pretty our previous Maybin except where we should have drafted him. Guy apparently has all the tools (minus some weight/strength) to be an 3 Down LB but is still recovering from an injury.

1) So, lets say that somehow, every other team that needs a QB ahead of us, doesn't pick Watson..... what does that tell you? This point was brought up by someone else. Either we are brilliant or we're just hoping to get a younger less expensive TT. By the way I'm not actually impressed with Watson tape. 2) So we get a QB..... who is he throwing to? Oh no one? Great, Cool, sounds awesome. 3) Have you seen our safety position? Like really looked at it..... it might be the worst set of safeties in the league. 4) We do need another QB though and i'm all for Patrick Mahomes. Guy can literally throw from any position and his shiftiness in the pocket is really impressive. Who gives a **** about his back leg. 5) Wouldn't mind trading down if we pick up say, a second second round pick. Otherwise we're looking at Safety or WR at 10

Greg Olsen's Brother Arrrested For Rape.
RK_BillsFan replied to #34fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So I grew up in Wayne, and still live there. Greg was only 1 year older and i competed against him multiple times. I can honestly say compared to the rest of his family, he is the nicest person you'll ever meet. His father and his brothers are pretty much scum. However this is a truly sad story. I feel as though it's karma for the **** his father pulled a few years ago that got him fired ( he was allowed to NOT return as the football coach at Hills HS). Since most people won't know this, a few years back during a snow storm on Halloween, multiple hills football players hospitalized 2 valley football players and left them essentially for dead in the snow (one of the two kids had broken ribs and internal bleeding). The entire thing was recorded on multiple phones and was on youtube for a decent while. The father did not sit any of the players stating if he sat them, everyone would know they were the ones involved in the incident and that would be singling them out. That decision would lead to him not only having to resign from coaching, but he was going to be the towns AD the following year. Needless to say he was removed from consideration for the position. "The father is a local legend in high school football world here in Jersey." i think thats a pretty odd statement. His family is pretty famous, because if it wasn't for Greg the family would literally be just like every other family in the US where the coach's kid did well on a team and went to college on a full ride only to flame out on the college level. I believe Gregs brother that is 1-2 years older went to a college to be the starting QB, lost the job when a new coach came in, transferred to Miami to be with Greg, where he lost the job again, only to watch the guy at the first school break his leg which ment he would have started there. -
I was initially against the idea of drafting this kid. Watching his highlights though...... I would be open to taking him 2-4th round if we stockpile a few picks trading down/back.
-
I don't understand everyone's fascination with the kid from Clemson as a first round pick..... he doesn't look any better that TT. From what I've watched he doesn't have a good throw. I can't really place it but watching the ball, it just looks strange in the air. We are/should/need to keep TT. Yes the contract sucks for this current year. However the next 3 years are really team friendly. Not to mention drafting a QB in a ****ty QB draft only hurts us in the long run because it doesn't actually solve that positions problem. We have way more pressing needs. Lets be entirely clear here. Our Offense was not the reason we did not make the play offs (see the Saints as pretty much mirrors of ourselves. They just throw it to score where as we run it). We NEEEEEEED Safety(s) Like have you seen the **** we've pulled off the street and suited up? We basically have nothing at the position. Additional needs: More Satey(s) - Decent ones on the market. Kyle Williams heir or Adolphs back up A BIG WR that is reliable (i'm all for Mike Williams with the 10th pick or trading down for one of the other large bodied, good hands WRs) Right Side of the line - Not as bad as our Safety position but good lord it's not a good part of the team. LB? - We got lucky that what was once a major weakness turned into a pretty decent squad, but can we actually keep the new guys here or will we need to draft/replace.

Do you trust the Pegulas to make the right decision?
RK_BillsFan replied to Santana's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
so you would rather us start TT, possibly have him be injured and then have to pay him 31 million next year, with a new HC coming in that may not want him. Whaley decision or not, benching him was the right move for this last game. -
Breaking News: Rex Ryan and Rob Ryan Fired
RK_BillsFan replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Late Xmas present is appreciated. I have a decent personal list of whom i wish would end up in this building at the HC/OC/DC spots. I really think Coughlin or Pollian as a Czar would be a huge step forward. Otherwise, while i Like Lynn, i'd want a full year as a OC before asking him to HC. TT should be kept but not on his current contract. We/He should renegotiate to another "prove it" contract since this year was a throw away. I understand not playing him, so we don't just hand him 30 million if he gets hurt
