  1. Sherman is one of the biggest tools in the NFL. SUPER skilled, SUPER dumb. When I watched this, it was the first time in my life that I felt bad for Skip. Sherman's antics were sickening and far too personal for ZERO reason. If he can't take criticism then what is he doing? Rip that million dollar contract up and go hide under a rock. He refused to discuss anything but a personal attack on Skip. Skip could've easily mentioned how Sherman is a liar and a cheater... Didn't though.
  2. Keep talking about the one playoff win. He's 1-4 in the playoffs. All four losses came to the NFC representative in the Super Bowl. Would've beat the Cardinals in their SB year had Keith Brooking not blown a coverage on 3rd and 17 late in the fourth quarter. Matt Ryan is a top five quarterback. MAYBE falls to six. The Falcons are my pick for the Superbowl this season. If not this season, Ryan will have AT LEAST one Super Bowl in the next five years.
  3. Have you played NFL football? If not, by your logic you shouldn't be on these boards. (The argument that you can't have an opinion just because you don't have first-hand experience on the subject matter is old, beaten and false).
  4. No, I didn't. I counted some bench players from both teams, but only guys that have notable contracts and play notable minutes. It's not notable. Ravensinsider is one of the best NFL insiders out there. He reports on the whole NFL.
  5. CJ Spiller and Mario Williams. Hasn't helped him yet. We see it, but not a lot of people around the league see it.
  6. Injuries will never go away. They could make it eyeball tag football and people would still get hurt.
  7. I have high hopes for him if fully healthy. We'll see.
  8. Aaron Williams. He'll thrive in the safety role he'll be given. Marcell Dareus (he'll be refreshed after all the drama he had to endure last year).
  9. Fred Jackson, Stevie Johnson, Kyle Williams, Leodis McKelvin, Rian Lindell. Those are the only players on the team that have gotten more than one contract from the Bills. Just for comparison: The Patriots have double that number. (This isn't counting guys that are bench players because those guys are cheap and easy to resign).
  10. They can give him as rich a one year deal as they please. It just can't be more than one year.
  11. So this is what we're going with now? Do people not watch football? Last three years: Eric Weddle: 281 tackles, 2 FF, 0 FR, 12 INTs Dashon Goldson: 216 tackles, 2 FF, 3 FR, 10 INTs Earl Thomas: 240 tackles, 3 FF, 3 FR, 10 INTs Jairus Byrd: 263 tackles, 10 FF, 5 FF, 9 INTs
  12. If he refuses to report without a clause that he can't be tagged again then I trade the hell out of him. Better to get value than lose him for nothing. No not at all. I said starters, not stars. I don't expect more than two solid young starters. Too small to what? Prove himself to be one of the best safeties in the league? The too small argument only works if you're not already proven.
  13. For real haha. I think Woods will be good but I don't like his jersey selection. (I'm not saying a jersey defines a player. SOMEBODY had to be great in that number for it to be considered a good number in the first place. Just saying that it can give you SOME idea. Maybe Woods will make 10 a good number for WRs. Or DeAndre Hopkins).
  14. I always put a lot of stock into what numbers players where. I like 3 on him and I think he could play very well with it. Some numbers just never seem to have good success. I honestly believe there's a connection between the psychology of what numbers people pick and their abilities.
  15. I'd bet Oakland and St. Louis. San Diego could replace one.
  16. No one player defines the play of any defense. But you can't tell me that defenses wouldn't be the same without Troy and Reed.
  17. I don't see that as a "fail." It's true as far as the contention thing. But Brady's most recent deal makes me think he'll be gone relatively soon. Seems like a guy who is happy with his life and willing to walk away before he declines.
  18. To me, it's time for a trade now. If the team isn't willing to pay him or he's not willing to take Goldson money, trade him. Get two starters out of it and be done with this all. Get two starters at the following positions: LB, LG, FS, SS or DE. Or a starter and a first rounder. Teams that could use Byrd: Arizona, Baltimore, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, Jacksonville, KC, Oakland, St. Louis. Teams on that list with the cap space to pay Byrd: Arizona, Baltimore, Cleveland, Denver, Jacksonville. Arizona doesn't really have the assets we'd prefer. Baltimore could be interesting for something like Arthur Jones, rookie Arthur Brown and a 3rd rounder. Cleveland could do a deal like Jabaal Sheard or Craigh Robertson and Jason Pinkston with a mid-rounder. Denver doesn't really have much to offer unless they'd do Wesley Woodyard straight up (but that's impossible with the Miller suspension). Jacksonville is already thin on talent.
  19. The Bills signed Rogers as an UDFA. Very similar to a third round pick that got a giant contract extension. For the record, I was VERY impressed with how quickly the Pats cut ties. I was actually mad that ESPN kept associating their logo with him after the Pats made the decision... I just think the comments they've made since then are ridiculous. My disdain for them in this situation started with Kraft's comments about being duped and how unfair it was to them. Blah blah blah. (He's not one for smart comments. He publicly said he was against a company because of his religious beliefs, but it just so happened to be the company that extended his wife's life).
  20. I mean he can slip into the first round if he wants. As long as he slips to pick 32, where Buffalo will be picking this year. Yea, because ALL talented NFL player come from the big conferences. Ya know, like Joe Flacco. Delaware is a powerhouse in the SEC... Oh wait, they're not even a FBS school? DeMarcus Ware, who's he?
  21. My reactions to the press conference today were this: -People will praise Belichick for ANYTHING. All I heard before I watched it was how he showed real emotion for once and how this was a BB we'd never seen. HOW!? He still slouched to one side and used the same monotone voice he ALWAYS uses. Maybe he spoke a LITTLE louder, but just because he actually articulated (from a prepared statement that likely wasn't written by him) we think that he's showing emotion. He showed little emotion. -I'm sick of the Patriots acting like victims. Quite frankly, there's one victim (well now it sounds like there are MULTIPLE victims but the courts will figure that out). The Patriots aren't victims. They made a major mistake. Own up to it. Stop saying that you were duped. The BIGGEST annoyance I got from this was when Belichick said that this situation involved "a player that just happened to be a Patriot." What this implies, to me, is that he's saying it could've been any player on any team so the Patriots can't be held accountable in any way. Guess what Billy? It WAS a player on YOUR team. A player your team featured heavily in its offense and that paid him MILLIONS in a giant contract. Don't give me this crap about "how were they supposed to know?" Nobody really knows they're drafting a murderer, I'll give them that. But there's 32 other teams passed on this guy TWICE (some more than twice). He's got insane talent, but 31 teams were smart enough to realize that he wasn't worth drafting that high. There's a reason he wasn't a first rounder despite his talent... You made a mistake. Quit crying victim.
  22. They don't induct somebody every year. So I don't think this is "spin" in any way.
  23. Everytime I come to this forum, all that you can see in the new topics thread is unrelated crap like this. Is there any way to filter it out?
  24. No. Quit freaking out over everything. Swear words might be bad for children, but these are adults. Nobody cares if they swear as long as it's not in an interview or talking about another person in the league.
  25. This was going to happen all along.
